Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostI have room for a fairly big rig on my yard next to a small barn. Can work with you as far as water, electricity goes.
No smoking on property. No running generators after 8:30pm.
Paved street, gravel driveway.
Next to the rig.
I'm generally available anytime. If not here there is a sister living nearby that could help you.
Bents Old Fort National Historic Site (free admission 2016), Koshare Indian Museum, Picketwire Canyonlands, Vogel Canyon
Eggman has a really nice place. Plenty of parking options. All flat.
Had a brief convo with Eggman. He was a very nice guy.
A great place to spend a night. I would request to stay here again.
A huge thanks to Eggman for letting us stay and being so flexible with our schedule as we worked around the weather. It was quiet and peaceful with plenty of room, and easy access to everything in the area. He was a great host and ensured we were comfortable during our stay. Much appreciated!
We had a great stay and greatly appreciate eggman's generosity in opening his property to us for a few nights.
We were able to hook up to 30a electric and water, and we enjoyed exploring some of SE Colorado and also had decent hot-spot reception (it's t-mobile, so we don't ever have super high expectations, lol) so we were able to get work done as well.
Thanks so much!!
In preparation for a long time when we arrive to set up I was told us how to connect to the power we had a peaceful evening. I would recommend this place.
This was our first Boondockers Welcome and the host was fantastic! He was right there ready to help us park and even loaned us his extension cord to hook up to his electric. He was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. He had just had eye surgery and he was still so helpful and gracious and he didn’t have to be. Nice quiet neighborhood. We had a peaceful stay and we’re grateful for the rest we got. Highly recommend this place.
My stay at Eggman’s place was so nice! He let me hook up to his 30amo extension cord and use his super fast wifi! What a treat!
The site was great, since rain was expected he suggested we park in the driveway. We had contacted him since we were going to arrive a little later than expected And he was fine with that. This was our maiden “boondock”, and we were very impressed!!
Due to Covid 19, there was very little interaction, however Richard was very accommodating, respectful, and helpful.
Numerous parking options for shade and electricity, peaceful location
Perfect location for us on our travels. Easy to navigate 32’ Class A with motorcycle toad. Eggman was very helpful getting us hooked up with 30 Amp service, water and really solid WIFI. A few different parking options. All on grass/dirt yard.
You won’t find a lot of local “things to do”. There was a community pool just a few blocks away. But COVID has that on lockdown for the time being.
It was a great stop for us along our travel route. Felt pretty safe in this small town neighborhood property.
My host met me as I arrived and helped me back in to a level site and gave me everything I needed. We kept our distance with a brief conversation and assured me if anything ele was needed to let him know. My morning drive as I headed West was spectacular with the Rocky mountains in my windshield. I would highly recommend.
Eggman has many level sites, is a gracious & communicative host.
My wife and I really appreciated Richard's hospitality after a long drive from Texas. He even had 30 amp service available which we used to run our A/C. We would definitely stay here again.
Eggman was an awesome host, large flat front yard with and a nice big shady spot by the barn as well. We were so thankful to have access to water and 30amp since it was a toasty 90 degrees the two nights we stayed!
It was a heck of a travel day. We had an issue with where we supposed to stay and made a short notice request. He was very responses to our request. He also to use his 50 amp power recepticle. Great stay!!
Host had plenty of room and options for parking. This is a great location for doing some local site-seeing. Train tracks nearby but didn't notice too many trains at night. Highly recommended!
Stopped by for one night. Eggman did not mind my early arrival and even dropped by to make sure I got in alright! Plenty of room to park. I’d stay here again if I were in the area!
We spent a delightful night at Eggman. He accommodated us in every way possible - without us asking. We were in La Junta to visit Bents Fort, a National Park Service Monument. Our host drove us out to the monument to check out the parking lot since we were planning to go in the morning with our rig. We invited him to share a lite dinner with us while we all talked about our rv travels. It’s been a long time since we met a kinder gentleman. We will remember this visit.
I enjoyed my stay at eggman's location. Host is very accommodating yet unobtrusive. Easy in and out. I had delicious breakfast at the coffee shop in town, would have enjoyed a longer stay in La Junta!
We enjoyed our stay with eggman. We had 50 amp electrical service. His neighbor had alpaca, llama, and sheep grazing nearby. He mentioned two historical locations and we visited both. We visited the Koshare Indian Museum on Sunday and Bent's Old Fort on our way our of town on Monday. We recommend both if you're in the area.
Nive quiet place to rest...his sister and i had a good time talking about dogs, places, world events! Great place to rest. Will stop again. Linda..rusty
Eggman was super nice! He provided a place for us to park and hook up to electricity for the night. We woke up the next morning to a couple of our RV tires being almost flat and he helped us air them up and directed us to a good place to go to replace the valves! Would definitely recommend him and stay there again if we had the chance!
Really nice and easy spot to setup at. Really enjoyed talking with him and his dad. Hope to be able to stop here again someday.
Thanks to our host for a great stay overnight. Enjoyed visiting our host and his dad.
We arrived at Eggmans place a bit early and was warmly greeted by his father and shown our boondocking spot. It was a lovely quiet place to stay the night and very easy to find. Very nice folks and we look forward to boondocking there again in the future.
