We're on a quiet residential street in a semi-rural village in Western New York, 15 minutes off the Thruway, halfway between Buffalo NY and Erie, PA. We have a level but older asphalt driveway. We can offer 110 electrical and fresh water hookups, and plant-only composting facilities. No WiFi available (unless you want to take your chances with the neighbors'.) We can accommodate rigs up to 25'. Well-behaved children and pets (must be on leash) welcome. No smoking or fragrances - we're allergic.
If you hit us at just the right time, you can lean out your window and pluck organic raspberries.
We're halfway up a not too steep, not too long hill. The village roads are well-maintained, but have typical Northeastern potholeing. Contact us for best directions, as one route contains a very sharp turn on a steep grade. The other is much easier. We can probably accommodate either a slide or an awning, not sure there's width for both, unless your slide is very shallow.
Overnight parking is permitted on village streets from April 15 to November 15 only.
Intermittently, between April 15 and November 15. Send us a message to see if we can accommodate your date/s.
Chautauqua Institution and several wineries and nature preserves are within 15-45 minutes drives. Several Frank Lloyd Wright and other top-notch architectural sites in nearby Buffalo, NY. Oodles of lovely hikes in the area, from very easy to more challenging. We're 15 minutes' scenic drive from an excellent overlook on the Lake Erie flyway, one hour from Presque Isle, another major birding site. Niagara Falls is also about an hour and a quarter from here. Also some sites for history buffs.
I am new to RVing. My first night in a new camper. She is a friend that you feel you have known forever. I couldn't back into the spot so her husband did it for me. They helped me get settled and gave directions to the grocery stores and other places that I was interested in. I would enjoy more time with them.
I had the most pleasant time with Friendly Hosts, they sure live up to their name! The spot was great, I will forever miss walking out my door and having a plethora of delicious raspberries at my disposal! It was such a cute and quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and a beautiful park just a short walk down the street.
I was grateful to really get to know my hosts and enjoyed time spent with them immensely! They are such sweet and kind folks and I am happy to call them friends now :) miss you guys!
I did not stay here as my plans had to be canceled. I just wanted to let others know that Friendly Hosts responded to my message right away and seemed to be very helpful. Thank you.
Stayed with "Friendly Hosts" for an overnight while traveling south in my Roadtrek 190 Popular. Quiet neighborhood, easy level parking, and very friendly hosts. Arrived during heavy rain, was greated by Sam with an umbrella to share....had a brief chat on the back porch....Convenient location, 24 hr Walmart & gas...on the way to I-90....Highly recommended.....Thanks.
For me, it was my first time boondocking and my first real trip in my new (old) motorhome. I arrived at this home and was greeted by a lovely couple who were most helpful. I was having problems getting my cell to work in the US (I am from Canada) and they made calls and contacted techy people to get me online. Their location didn't have good reception but I eventually got through. They took me for a walk with my dog to a lovely park and my dog loved that. I felt right at home and very comfortable. Thank you !
