Start each morning and end your day with the amazing views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, watching the sky change like a moving painting. You’ll learn why artists have flocked to Taos for decades for its unique light!
My home is just south of town, about 10 minutes from the Plaza. It is a rural location and very quiet.
Dirt road access only, however it is semi-maintained. If you go slow, you'll be fine. No sharp curves or low hanging branches.
Please don't use a GPS to find my house. There's never been one successful navigation to my house via GPS. And usually a GPS will take you through some very sketchy neighborhoods. When you make a reservation I'll send old fashioned directions.

When available, There's lots of moving pieces to my schedule, so just send me an email and let me know when you'd like to stay.
Pets are CONDITIONAL and must be pre-approved. Your dog must be friendly with any and all other dogs, not aggressive in any way. I have 3 dogs of my own, including a rescued pit bull who is sweet and gentle. Please do not arrive with a pet that has not been pre-approved, you will be required to leave!
Generators are allowed on a limited basis. Quiet hours are 9PM - 8AM - no generators during that time, unless they are REALLY quiet.
This is not a good location for a coach. I used to have a 34' RV and that was about as big as would fit through the gates of my property.
There's plenty to see and do in Taos - and if you're planning a visit, you've probably looked at ideas and options. Here's a great website: http://taos.org
I'm happy to help you discover the area!
We have enjoyed the hospitality of the host. By Sun's coming to Sun's demise is the beautiful there. We have enjoyed each other's travel stories, many exchanged and we are left with a lot of interesting Apps. It was wonderful to be in this place. Host, thanks and good luck with your work and study. Dear greetings Robert and Nelleke
Our stay at BigGirlRig's place was quite peaceful and just what we needed after a long dry camping experience in southern New Mexico. She has a beautiful property with 3 friendly dogs. Karen know a lot about the area, and if you need a suggestion or two of what to do in the area, she'll be able to help. Thank you for your generosity and time! Maybe we'll see you around the bend ;)
Big Girl Rig was very gracious & we had a lovely conversation. She gave me a lot of travelling advice & her dogs are so sweet!
We had a great overnight here under the starry NM sky. The hostess is warm, welcoming, and very accommodating.
Thanks for a great stay!!
We had the nicest stay in Taos because of this host! She was welcoming, helpful, great with our kids, and oh so cool! She recommended a delicious place for lunch and gave us plenty of information about the surrounding areas. Heck, we even let her plan our roadtrip for us! (So far, so good!) Her dogs are super sweet. The view is to die for. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer. Thoroughly recommend!
Had a great time touring the area around Taos for a couple of days when we parked at our host's home. The view of the valley was wonderful. Thanks!
