We live right outside the entrance to Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Oreille in the northern Idaho Panhandle. We are located mid point between the cities of Sandpoint and Coeur d' Alene Idaho. We are 80 miles to the Canadian border.
Farragut State Park has 2 dump stations.
Considerate, friendly folks and families are welcome including well behaved dogs.
Basically The Golden Rule of life applies here!
Paved level roads
We are part time RV'ers so we are not always available. Sometimes we can be gone several weeks at a time.
Lake Pend Oreille, Farragut State Park, a WWll historic area for history buffs. Tree to Tree Adventure with Zip Line inside the state park as well as a Disc Golf course and an RC plane flying field. Farragut Shooting Range - Idaho Fish and Game. 3 miles to the sleepy town of Bayview with it's unique floating home neighborhood and a once secret inland naval base where submarines are still designed and tested, hiking trails galore, boating, swimming, equestrian camping and trails. A large new super grocery store with an ACE hardware inside about 5 miles away. Silverwood Theme Park is super close.
Had a great stay with blackstoneburro. Quiet and peaceful setting in the trees. Pleasant and welcoming hosts that offered much information on the local area. Hope to visit with them again someday!
We had a great time staying here! They were so welcoming and went beyond for our kids getting out toys and playing a movie outside with their projector. Amazing hosts!
Casey and Diane went out of thier way to make us feel at home.
We had dinners together and spent qaulity time learning about our families and culture.
After a short time we felt like one family.
Thank you so much.
I have been a member of this organization for two years. This was my first experience with BD Wwlcome. I couldn’t have asked for better. The owners opened their yard and home to me and the cat. Farragut State Park was right across the street from their home. I biked into the park. The closest town town of was 5 miles away. The owners and I spent a pleasant evening getting to know each other sitting outside my rig. They offered me a real shower n their house. It was marvelous. Before i left The owner made sure my rig was ready to roll. My visit here was beyond what i expected. I will definitely try this again.
Met these two lovely people who let us boondock at their campsite when there was nowhere else for us to stay. I would not hesitate to host them or stay with them and hope our paths cross again soon, maybe even in WA!
