You should have a quiet night's stay here.
SOME Drinking water for your tank is available (within reason as we are on a well)...just ask.
If you have a pet that needs some exercise...the school up the street has a fenced in area/pick up after your pet. We MAY be able to provide an energetic playmate if needed.
No generators after 10pm unless we are able to park you behind garage (which means you must be lighter and it must not have rained a lot/mud issues).
More than one night might be an option...we can play it by ear.
If you smoke, please be kind and do not flick buts in our yard.
We are located on a county road so access is good. Our driveway has some norway spruce branches that may brush a taller unit but that may be remedied with some clippers (please check with us first).
We are about 20 minutes from the Kingston exit of the NYS thruway (south)....all on kind of major roadways...down route 209. Our driveway has
a turnaround spot that aids in entrance and exit. We are about 20 minutes from the New Paltz exit of NYS thruway (go north up route 32 if you take this route and avoid town of New Paltz...there are back ways that would be okay just... We are about 15 minutes from the Kingston Exit of the NYS Thruway.
DO NOT let your GPS guide you via New Paltz's Mountain Rest Road or Mohonk Road in High Falls as there is a LOW bridge up by Mohonk Mountain House's golf course that no RV will fit under.
We have 3.5 acres so you can park tow vehicle anywhere but it might not be on pavement (it is not field...just mowed grass).
We travel periodically but just ask to make sure we are here. We are here in the summer though when everyone else is out and about with a few exceptions.
Mohonk Mountain House...the last of the Catskill Mountain houses...for an expensive meal
or hiking (entry fee) or just to walk around the house....in a tow vehicle only.
Culinary Institute for dinner in Hyde Park (about 40 minutes drive in a toad).
Hiking in the catskill mountains.
Nearby rail trail to bike on (unpaved)
or just relax
Thank you to our hosts who were preparing for travels and agreed to host us anyway, we were worried we would be in the way but they assured us we were fine, how nice! Communication about low bridge in the area Was excellent. They met us and showed us where they wanted us to park for the night. Easy to turn around in the driveway but we only have a 22ft rig. Short but sweet stay as we trek our way back home, thanks again for sharing your cool pad.
Great spot with welcoming hosts. We had a restful night with the sounds of nature in abundance.
Donna et David sont des hôtes impécables ils ont aux petits soins avec moi et je leur en suis très reconnaissante ayant eu une rue premiere journée.
Merci à vous deux de votre très sympathique accueil au plaisir de se revoir.
Didn't get to meet host but had great communication. Got elec and sleep.
Had beautiful deer out my window in the morning.
Nice place to stay for a night. Enjoyed talking to our hosts and learned some things during our interesting conversations. Hope they can stop by our place during future trips.
Great location to sightsee in the Catskills. The hosts were very helpful and informative and took us on a guided tour of their garden. The site was peaceful and quiet with trees and wildlife. We saw a deer just feet away from our trailer.
We were well received at Donnaanddavid house. Really nice spot to stay. We could ask the host if we had question. We recommand this host.
Thanks for allowing us to park in your lovely property. Come visit us in orida anytime!
We have only wonderful things to say about the hosts and location. Not only did we enjoy their quiet, level, easily accessible, 30 amp electric and beautiful property, we appreciated their kind hospitality and helpful suggestions on what to see in the area. We specifically wanted to hike the local parks and trails and see mountain climbers. Our hosts provided us with directions on how to find the best trails. They also talked with us about their travel experiences in their motorhome. This was our first Boondockers Welcome experience and we have only positive things to say about the experience. We hope to go back again!
We had a wonderful night at Donna and David garden. Quiet and beautiful surrounded by threes.
Thank you so much!
They are great hosts and the parking spot is lovely. It's quiet too. We enjoyed our stay.
We had a nice chat and exchange with our host, many tricks about travelling, motorhome and gardening.
Hope we will see them in Québec Canada one day.
We recommand them to all boondockers.
Thanks and have a nice summer.
What a great spot to spend the night. Beautiful property and plenty of space. Sorry I missed you, maybe another time!
Although Donna and David had to prepare their own trip, deparing tonight, they welcomed us to stay and enjoy their site. We were invited to pick their raspberries(yammie) and had pleasant chats with both. Thank you guys for your hospitality and hope you have a safe and pleasant trip as well. To tecommend seriously.
Donna and David were very welcoming and have a beautiful property. We parked with plenty of privacy and had an enjoyable time with them. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to problems with the RV which David tried to help with. Would have liked to spend more time with them and was sad to leave. I hope to run into them on our future travels.
We only spent one night at this location; we felt very welcome, these are very friendly and warm people! We received a lot of fruit and vegetables from their garden; they boondock a lot themselves and had some good stories and locations to recommend. Even explained a few things about our RV that we first-timers did not know! Thank you for allowing us to stay with you!
donnaanddavid were great hosts! They we the right hosts for our first time as Boondockers. We got a lot of encouragement and great advice too. Beautiful site in a very nice town.
