Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostBack yard RV parking spot, but very difficult to maneuver into. If you're going to try to get into the backyard, you must arrive before dark. Most decide to stay on the street where one cannot stay plugged in. Quieter residential area, but still city street. Near historic neighborhood.
Please leave money if you use utilities (prices have gone way up and I host far more than I stay). No smoking on property. Please use generator sparingly. I probably will not see you in the morning as I work late into the night much of the time.
Must be accessed from alley into very narrow spot, so length limited by maneuverability into spot. Possibly up to 23' if you a very skilled driver and have a spotter (helps if rig is short in height too). There is street parking available instead.

We welcome guests any time of year, but please, no last minute requests. Contact me for availability and details.
This site now forces answers about request preferences. Those are not hard and fast, except I would rarely, if ever, be able to do last minute requests.
Pets must be on regular flea protection and cleaned up after. Please keep on leash.
Less than 15 minutes drive to beach, Camarillo Premium Outlets, and Ventura area attractions. Less than 45 minutes drive to Santa Barbara and Ojai.
We are thankful, my wife Inez and I for getting acquainted with the host. She was most helpful and accommodating for us. We talked awhile and enjoyed her company. We used the street being that we were in and out. Felt safe. Area in the street was well lit. Look forward to coming back sometime. This was a big break for us as we escaped the inland empire Labor Day heatwave when it was roasting at 118. Oxnard is always on the cooler side so that’s why we chose this city. The beach there was refreshing and we were blessed.
excellent location with Superwalmart & Costco gas around town.
Hello!
We had a lovely experience staying with this Host. They were very accommodating and greeted us with a smile. We had a great chat as we got settled in nicely. We parked on the street in our 26' TC. We felt safe and it was a very quiet neighborhood. Thank you for everything we will be back!
With great thanks,
~Jeana & Mark
We stayed on the street. Calm at night. Crissy was really helpful.
My stay was excellent and Chrissy is so nice. It was discovered we ironically share mutual acquaintances in the Midwest, which led to some nice chats. Close by to everything, including the beach! One of my favorite stays so far and plan to return in the future. :)
Simple street parking offered by a warm, very sweet, welcoming host.
We had a save and good night there. The host was very friendly and offered help and gave important information. Nice contact. Thank you! You made our stay great.
We really enjoyed our time with this lady! So friendly and helpful at every turn. And we just hit it off, getting to know each other. Hope to get by for another visit someday, Lord willing!
I used the street: not sure the yard would have been a problem for a B van, but it was occupied anyway. Nice quiet neighborhood. It was a perfect location for what I had scheduled.
The only problem was self-inflicted; I had a last minute schedule change with my appointment. Socalnysunshine was more than accommodating.
Her offer of "anything you need" was sincere, although I don't think boondocking really shouldn't include the host doing anything!
This is my first Boondockerswelcome stop and if they are all like this, I'll be on the road forever!
This was a perfect stopover for us for the night, located in the middle of Oxnard. Our host was delightful, very social and her dog was super-friendly! We parked on the street, which was not traffic-busy. It's a perfect place for an overnight stay.
Came at a time when sunshine was double booked. Host graciously offered the quiet street, and amenities if needed. Quietly slept on street and carried on our merry way.
Such a great, quiet stay! Had a wonderful conservation with the host, so much to do in the area. Would definately stay again!
Chrissy was wonderful! Her backyard was the perfect place to stop after a long day of traveling. It is a little tight so there's also street parking, but we were able to squeeze in and my pup loved having the backyard to stretch his legs. Might stay here again on our way back down the coast! Definitely recommend!
We were able to fit our small pop-up camper through the gate and past the wall into her back yard and everything was great. We enjoyed getting to know Chrissy and her cute puppy - thank you again!
Hi Boondockers Welcome friends. I enjoyed my 2 night stay at Chrissy's house. I was not quite (almost) able to get my RV (20 ft) backed into the driveway in her yard so I easily parked in front of her house and it was just fine. Chrissy and I had a very nice visit the day I arrived. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. I drove around it for 30 minutes to charge up my house battery one day and it's lovely with lots of different architecture, lots of cute white picket fences. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did. Thanks to Chrissy and her pup for welcoming me. Tammie
We only met briefly, but host was very friendly and interesting. The Oxnard/Ventura area can be difficult for boondocking, so we were happy to be welcomed here.
Chrissy was Very friendly. We could park our 23 ft RV in her backyard and get water and electra. Near to old town and beach. Loes fel in love with her cute little dog! :-)
Thanks for having us and maybe till next year. Johan and Loes
Beautiful beach 15 mins., appreciated the stay! Safe neighborhood.
We appreciated the flexibility and great communication when our arrival was delayed!
It was a brief but delightful stopover. There are two options for parking. The entrance to the back was a little too tight for our 22 foot class C, but the street parking in front of the house worked well - level and a quiet neighborhood. We may well do it again. Our host was welcoming and accommodating. She is welcome here any time.
A clean, well kept neighborhood. Food, shopping and motorhome size car wash nearby. Great place to stop and sleep. The weather was cool. We kept our windows open, all night, in summer.
We stayed at her place for one night and were glad, that we could arrive so late. Sunshine is very nice and helped us out a lot for our further journey to LA. Since our vehicle was too big, we stayed at the street, which was perfectly fine for one night.
We spent two nights in front of her house. It is a quiet area. She answers very quickly and is so welcoming. We had great time speaking together and my two little daughters will never forget this so funny real american Halloween we did in her neighborhood. Thanks for all, we appreciated the treat. Take care.
Our host was very welcoming and willing to move her rig so we could have power. Since it was only for 1 night we stayed by the curb in front of her house sans power. Perfectly nice area and not much traffic going by.
A good place to stay.
