WOW - what can we say! Amazing evening spent on the river. Thank you so much for hosting us. Highly recommend this as a Boondocking spot. Great location and great hosts. Thanks so much for your hospitality - greatly appreciated. Take care and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Such a beautiful and relaxing place! From the availability to canoe/kayak for fishing or sightseeing, relaxing on the deck floating over the water and great conversation to a campfire, it was just what we needed. Solera were gracious, kind, and wonderful people! Highly recommend this experience!
This was our first ever RV stop and my God, Ken and Holly are incredible people. We jumped off their dock into the water, watched a huge thunderstorm in their second cabin and nibbles on fresh raspberries from their garden. We loved them so much that we hope to stay in touch and even have them over one day when our home is built. These folks are such gems!
All we can say is WOW! Solera were incredibly gracious hosts. They cared about every aspect of our trip and took great care of us, which was way above and beyond our expectations. Their property is beautiful, the water was great. This was our first boondocking experience and they have set the bar impossibly high. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. We would go back in an instant (and literally as often as they would let us!).
Thank YOU again for all the hospitality.
We enjoyed are time with the Hosts.
Hope to do it again.
We would highly recommend this peaceful location. Our hosts were so welcoming and generous in sharing their beautiful property with us.We even had a delightful morning paddle on the river and left feeling rested and relaxed.
Thanks again so much for the wonderful hospitality!
Truly a piece of paradise. Gracious and generous hosts made our family's stay memorable! Our kids miss the ducklings already. Hope to see you again!
This was our first guest experience with BW, and it wildly surpassed our expectations!
The entire time we were there, we felt treated as family. Our wonderful hosts gladly shared their property, their home-baked goods, their boat, their time....the list goes on and on. We had lovely conversations around the fire at night, sharing stories of traveling adventures. They have traveled extensively and had many suggestions for trips that we will hopefully get to do someday.
We could continue to write for an hour about all the things they did to make us feel at home, but suffice it to say that you could not meet nicer people. THANK YOU so much and we would love to visit again!!
This couple is very unique, they are real Boondockers. They traveled everywhere in Canada and US and they like to share their experience with us, and we did the same. They visited almost all the national parks of the west.
They have a wonderful place on the bank of the river and we spent the evening in front of a fire camp to exchange best travel experiences. They are welcoming, they know how to make you feel at home. They do everything to ease your stay.
Wonderful folks with a beautiful piece of property. Very quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed sitting around the campfire in the evening next to the river and getting to know each other. Hope you make it down to our place in Florida sometime. Thanks a bunch
A beautiful property with amazing people.
Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
Solera are great hosts - so welcoming and generous, encouraging us to enjoy their dock and kayaks - it was so great to get back on one of the rivers of my childhood !
We shared many stories and laughs as well as a bottle of wine and a delicious barbequed chicken ( thank you ! )
I just wish we had more time to take advantage of all the great suggestions of what we should see while in the Huntsville area - I think we will have to go back.
We were there for 1 night. Asked for 2nd , then 3rd. Quiet neighbourhood (until the 5 Crowns come out!).Parking in level, firm drive for all lengths but might be unable to open opposing slides. 15 amp power was appreciated, as was our relaxing evening on the river at the foot of their lot. Huntsville has all usual amenities plus steam train excursion @ $6 per senior for FOUR return trips. Worth twice that to watch the locomotive being turned! Left feeling they were disappointed to see our tail lights pass over the hill from view.
This Boondockers adress was my first one so I did not now what to expect but when I arrived here the welcome was so great. It was warm (hot!) and I get a nice cold beer and when I was settled my hosts ask me if I like to go make a little trip with their boat. When we came back they were a little bit worried because of the bugs and the heat in my VW Van and then they ask me if I want to sleep in their guest room and have a nice shower,....ehhh, yeah that would be great! After all I stayed for three nights and they showed me the area and gave me a lots of tips and advices. She took me out for a walk one day and the other day she drives with me to Algonquin Park and showed me some nice spots, later on we go again with their boat to the river. But, if you wish they let you do your things so you can do what you wanted. If you are looking for really nice people to stay in a nice area nearby the town then this is the right place to be!
Arrived without problem, had a great afternoon exploring and were treated to a pontoon boat drive after dinner. Wonderful couple to sit and talk with on the floating dock on their riverfront property.
