Gravel Driveway would handle approx 30'. On the Muskoka River. Canoes, Kayaks available, great swimming, Fire pit available near the river. Hydro
We are available year round ( Unless we are out having fun also)
Scenic Huntsville, Pioneer Village, Santas Village 25 km. Big Box stores. Algonquin Park 35 km
We were there for 1 night. Asked for 2nd , then 3rd. Quiet neighbourhood (until the 5 Crowns come out!).Parking in level, firm drive for all lengths but might be unable to open opposing slides. 15 amp power was appreciated, as was our relaxing evening on the river at the foot of their lot. Huntsville has all usual amenities plus steam train excursion @ $6 per senior for FOUR return trips. Worth twice that to watch the locomotive being turned! Left feeling they were disappointed to see our tail lights pass over the hill from view.
This Boondockers adress was my first one so I did not now what to expect but when I arrived here the welcome was so great. It was warm (hot!) and I get a nice cold beer and when I was settled my hosts ask me if I like to go make a little trip with their boat. When we came back they were a little bit worried because of the bugs and the heat in my VW Van and then they ask me if I want to sleep in their guest room and have a nice shower,....ehhh, yeah that would be great! After all I stayed for three nights and they showed me the area and gave me a lots of tips and advices. She took me out for a walk one day and the other day she drives with me to Algonquin Park and showed me some nice spots, later on we go again with their boat to the river. But, if you wish they let you do your things so you can do what you wanted. If you are looking for really nice people to stay in a nice area nearby the town then this is the right place to be!
Arrived without problem, had a great afternoon exploring and were treated to a pontoon boat drive after dinner. Wonderful couple to sit and talk with on the floating dock on their riverfront property.
