FIRST site -HIGH RIVER town Bndock site is situated in a light industrial zoned location but quiet, and fenced.
SECOND site: Easier to access, is 15 minutes drive south of High River in Hamlet of CAYLEY, Alberta. there is grass parking on the boulevard beside my house, with power hook up, AND I use garden hose for water into my own trailers. - yard is under fence re development - so no closure for pets & must be leashed (fenced pet exercise area across the highway)- pet "toileting" on lane grassed boulevard, must clean up after pet use, away from trailer parking on side street boulevard.- you can park there anytime, there is a yard lawn, fire pit and firewood at back of property. You can use your lawnchairs, BBQ on boulevard or in the yard. WiFi may be available, depends on reception.
THIRD site: in Cayley's "by donation" pay system situated across the highway to west if you want a much larger grassed site, with one fire pit, and several unit parking - possibly water available, trailer dump and pet "toileting" with clean up after, is mandatory.
> no generators after 10pm unless extremely quiet
> no smoking on property.
> children should be supervised
> pets on leash at all times, and kept away from yard plants
> this is a residential area, sometimes the locals will party late, but for me I prefer no noise after 11 pm.
Paved access to the High River front gate, & Back access - lane is solid gravel to rear access gate.
REAR ACCESS: back in from lane -HAS HAD a 39 foot 5th wheel - but VERY TIGHT turn in lane or use of the adjacent empty lot across from the gate easier. I use this gate regularly for all my trailers including the LARGEST - A NEW 32ft . The work trailer can be relocated near by if you need the larger space - Sewer dump NOT AVAILABLE YET.> FRONT YARD SPOT -Back in onto gravel from pavement, with a concrete sidewalk beside it. Presently there is a car parked there, but is to be removed by the owner sometime after end of April/18
Site is packed gravel and is a commercial light industrial location- so use of the generator isn't a problem -
SECOND SITE: 15 minute drive south from High River to Hamlet of Cayley, Ab. ALL PAVED ROADS has room for larger units on grassed boulevard, beside my new house or a 28 to 30 foot on the property- Generators are ok for evenings - however power hook up to 110 would be preferred at night after midnight till 0700 hours as it is in quiet residential area. No one has complained so far tho.
High River site:
There is tow vehicle parking on the street, &/or inside the fence with the towed vehicle - depending on length of trailer,
NOTE: there is a trailer dump in High River at the George Lane park with a tap for clean up.
ALSO on MY High River site there is a GREY water only drain - not adequate for black water.
Cayley Hamlet site: Tow vehicle parking available here also > in 2 of the 3 options can remain hooked up unless shorter units require parked.
NOTE: there is a trailer dump, across the highway at the camp site - only available after warmer temperatures, there they ask for donation payment for camping - but not sure what if any there would be for use of the trailer dump if the camping is not used.
Preference for 1 to 2 weeks prior notice or earlier if possible or take a chance on shorter notice for me to respond now, in case I am hiking or kayaking for a day, week or weekend, in order to have access to either of the two sites - as this will also open up 1 or 2 other spots to park on my own properties, up to 28 feet on one or the other of the two sites, while I'm on a trip.
HIGH RIVER: There is a fenced location 1/2 block away for free running of dogs, no leash required. Mountain hiking one hour drive west, river, lakes, reservoirs for boating & kayaking, In town- tiny lake for boat >no motors< right in town, bicycling & local town bike route. Large developed PAY campground, (with free horseshoe pits, & playground), Pay group camping, band stand, town centre access to grocery and other stores, library, small antique oriented stores x 3 (2 are second hand stores mainly but have a few antiques) Large recreational site with large public swimming pool, indoor track, ball diamonds and treed bike trails, safe tubing or small boats on local river. City of Calgary 45 min. north.
CAYLEY Hamlet: has a "pay by donation" camp ground with a single firepit for up to 6 or 8 ? campers - There is large lawn area for parking, trailer and tenting on. Has potable water only, and a ball diamond - one small "corner rural grocery, alcohol store & post office " across the highway from this donation site.
MY PRIVATE YARD: has power, grassed boulevard parking beside my house, and one extra in-yard parking site. firepit, and free firewood. potable water access by hose from house, I use it all the time. the water is piped in from High River. Fence not refurbished yet - pets on leash only, "toileting for pets" in back lane grassed area - & must clean up after. 1 short block to the above rural grocery store.Large open school yard and PLAY AREA 1 block east INSIDE THE HAMLET.
