Thank you Sleepy Hollow! This is the second time I have stayed with this BW host and it’s always a friendly experience. I really enjoyed visiting with them in their outside happy hour location.
The pearts welcomed us like family--even our dogs! Over a nice, warm fire under a patio tent during (welcomed) rain, we enjoyed a happy hour getting to know one another a bit along with another Boondocking couple. Their yard is filled with his sculptures and her gardens. So beautiful and fun! I encourage anyone to make the scenic drive to their place, for a wonderful overnight or two! Thank you, pearts!
What lovely hosts we had on our second BoondockersWelcome experience. Happy hour with a fellow Boondockers couple, with our hosts made us feel very welcome indeed! And what a lovely home with fantastic gardening and artwork everywhere! Our host even put air in our bike tires for us and gave us suggestions of where to ride and sites to see in the area. Would highly recommend Sleepy Hollow to anyone in this neck of the woods.
Hosts were super sweet! Invited us for happy hour out back. Beautiful relaxing space. Plenty of room for our 35 ft motorhome and Jeep toad without unhooking. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Hope to visit again when we’re back in the area.
Sleepy Hollow Boondocking offers all the hookups needed, including friendship! They were hosting another boondocking tt and still had electricity, water, wifi and space for our class C. Husband is a creative metalworker, felt like we were in an outdoor sculpture garden what with her colorful gardening. I would highly recommend them! Thank you so much for a great time.
Thank you Pearts for another wonderful stay at your lovely garden setting. Hope to see you both again.
What a darling couple with a fabulous little spot a few steps from the river. Our hosts were adorable and hospitable, we had such a great stay. Had us and our dog up to their gorgeous garden for happy hour. Could not have been a better stay. Much love and hope to see you again!
This was our first stay at a Boondocking Welcome site and it was perfect! We actually didn't expect to hear back with such short/late notice, but our hosts were so accommodating. They even invited us up for happy hour! Such nice people. Took a walk to the Wenatchee river in the morning and it was beautiful. Highly recommend a visit to Sleepy Hollow!
The pearts @ Sleepy Hollow are nothing short of BW All-Stars -- in fact, if there's such a thing as a BW Hall of Fame, these friendly, generous folks and their ideal site have our vote as immediate inductees (if not already so honored)! The location is just far enough "off the beaten path" to be peaceful and quiet, yet the nearby region is full of interesting things to do (e.g., swim in the Wenatchee River), places to eat (e.g., Tiki Hawaiian Barbecue for the most authentic and delicious teriyaki chicken plate lunch we've had outside of Hawaii), and unique offerings (e.g., the Aplets and Cotlets production facility at Liberty Orchards is only 10 mins away). Ditto all the other positive things said in previous reviews -- and then some! Thanks again for everything, pearts!
Can these hosts just adopt me?! They’re the most amazing and fascinating people ever! My only regret is that we couldn’t spend more time together to hear more about their world travels. The land is beautiful & very big rig friendly with a pull through driveway. We were walking distance to the river which our kids loved and enjoyed many local hikes and dining. Their space is well manicured with flowers, trees & beautiful scrap metal art all around. Southern hospitality found all the way in Washington state and you can’t beat a quiet, beautiful place to stay with water and 50amp! I hope we can meet up with them again in the future.
Wow what great hosts! Felt like friends in no time! Lots to do and see in the area. Close shopping and tourist stops. Our hosts provided a warm welcome, plenty of water and 50 amp hookup. RV dump at nearby Confluence State Park for $5. Great level pull through driveway with room for our Jeep. Would love to come back here on our next trip. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you!
Had a wonderful first night ever with Boondockers Welcome at the Pearts place! Shirley and Jack were so warm and inviting to us, we shared time on their beautiful back patio hearing of the fun trips they have taken and some great hikes they have been on. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. Thank you for your hospitality Jack and Shirley we hope to stay with you again in the future 😊👍❤
Thus was our first Boondockers welcome stay and it couldn't have been better! The Pearts are amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome! Their place is beautiful with a nice level area that worked great for our 42' Fifth Wheel. They invited us up for happy hour in their beautiful back yard; it was a great relaxing evening. It was so nice getting to know them and their sweet labradoodle Asher. I am sure we will try and make it a yearly stop. We highly recommend requesting a stay if you are in the Wenatchee area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Gracious hosts and easy access. Provided water and 30 amp hookups!
What a wonderful place to stay. The yard work and gardens are magnificent. The Pearts' are very welcoming. I was invited to a happy hour on the porch but one of my dogs was so weirded out by the ferry ride that I decided I had better stay close. I wish I had the time to visit more. Ms. Peart's recommendation of walking to the river was fabulous. Thank you for your hospitality. I am sorry that I didn't get to know you better but plan to remedy that next time I come through Wenatchee! Thank you!
We had a wonderful two-night stay here. The hosts were kind enough to invite us to happy hour on Friday, and we made even walked/biked a few times down to the river which is just down the street. They were a very nice couple and we greatly appreciated the free water & electric hookups.
Jack had a lot interesting metal works he has done. Very friendly and welcoming.
Wonderful place to stop. Beautiful, flat spot with water and electric! Sure can’t beat the hospitality. He helped guide us and situate us just right. Love the metal lawn art that he builds! Would definitely recommend this spot:
Wonderful area, nice hosts, there was nice little yard for my dog to run around on and we had fun walking down to the river before bed. It was perfect-thank you!
Jack and Shirley are exceptional hosts. They are experienced travelers with lots of stories. Their yard is like an out door museum, full of unique metal arts, chimes and beautiful flowers. A lovely location near a river and cherry orchards. We fell asleep to the sounds of crickets. I hope they will have me back the next time I pass through Wenatchee. It was a perfect boondocking experience.
This was our first Boondockers stay, and if others are like this, we are sold! Our hosts were so welcoming, inviting us to their daily happy hour, introducing us to friends, enjoying their beautiful yard. Nice level spot w/30 or 50-amp electric and water hookups. Easy access to town or highways. We would recommend to anyone!
Lovely couple and a fabulous place ! One host is a great gardener, the other makes metal art. Walking through their property is quite something - beautiful sights everywhere :)
Their dog Asher couldn't be any sweeter as well.
It's a semi rural setting, yet 5 minutes to town and everything you need.
They even offered a 2nd night which I gratefully accepted. Thank you guys for making this such a pleasant and enjoyable stay !
Lovely fun couple, had a very enjoyable evening visiting around fire on garden patio. Beautiful views. Fun yard art created by J. Quiet and serene. Thank you!
Such accommodating hosts, even moved their RV to allow us the entire parking space, and a friendly greeting on arrival! Easy to find and a beautiful spot to stay. Highly recommend Sleepy Hollow.
I really enjoyed staying at Sleepy Hollow. The grounds are beautiful with gardens and very unique yard art created by the hosts. There are many things to do in the area, I really enjoyed touring the Rocky Reach Dam, OHME gardens and the Art on the Avenues walking tours. The best part of the stay was the hosts. They graciously invited me to Happy Hour and I spent an evening conversing with them and their wonderful family, it was so much fun. In addition, they repaired a couple of problems with my motorhome and allowed me to stay 2 extra nights. THANK YOU!!
I would definitely recommend Sleepy Hollow and hope to meet the hosts on the road this winter.
Perfect place for us to rest between longer travel days. Such a cool yard and garden!
If you're looking for a lovely place to stop near Wenatchee, Sleepy Hollow is it. The location is perfect, and the very friendly hosts offer just about anything a traveling RVer needs; easy in and out, level, power, water. Weren't we supposed to be "boondocking?" Not at this stop. And again, the hosts are the best. They invited us to join them for drinks on the patio along with a retired winemaker friend of theirs. We wish he weren't retired. That was fantastic wine. There's a reason these hosts have all positive references....none neutral...none negative.
Hosts were wonderful and accommodating. We were a bit later arriving because of our visit to Leavenworth but our hosts were so kind and helpful. We wished we could have spent more time visiting with them. Our host is also a very talented metal fabricator and artist! Their yard and garden is very beautiful! We will definitely visit in the future.
This place is an ART MUSEUM! J. had made many pieces of scrap iron art to decorate their property. When we arrived, we had an opportunity to join them on the patio for some conversation. They told us where we could find some wild blackberries. YUM. We HIGHLY recommend this site. Thanks for your hospitality, S & J.
Gene & Liz
The hosts are the best! Wonderful location and close to everything. They let my dog have free run of their yard and play with their doodle. I felt welcomed and like part of their family. J and another boondocker even helped me fix a plumbing issue that had stumped the dealer I bought it from. I can't say enough good things. This was my first experience boondocking with this club and it was all positives. Beautiful yard and parking spot with the river right down the road to swim in. Thank you very much!!!
Our hosts were the utmost - hospitable, friendly, accommodating, down to earth people. The location is ideal - close to river for a swim and town for necessities and site seeing. Parking space was easy to enter and exit. We plan to return. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay and meeting our gracious hosts....enjoyed a drink on the patio and shared our travel experiences. This is a great setup, very comfortable and just up the hill from the river where we enjoyed the cool water...also got a few cherries from the orchard across the street!
Pearts are friendly, warm and super nice couple. It was our first boon docking experience and we enjoyed very much the space we were allowed to park our RV. Very nice environment, with cherries plantation just across the street where we picked our own cherries. Thank you once again for your generous offer to boon docked at your place, Pearts, will come back again next time.
What a wonderful place to spend the night! A beautiful setting and our hosts were so very gracious. Definitely on our list of places we would like to return to again! Many thanks!!
I was welcomed by the hosts and they assisted me in hooking up my rig to their electricity and water. They then invited me to join them for happy hour on their back yard patio. After a long day of driving it was so nice to sit around their fire pit for some good conversation and relaxation. They have the perfect level ground, full facilities RV set up for visitors. Their property is decorated with antiques throughout their a beautiful garden.
The Pearts are great hosts who offer a wonderful place to park your rig, however big or small, on level ground and in a nice country setting with all the hookups you need. I really enjoyed my stay.
What a lovely family and place to stay! We we're welcomed warmly and "wine-ly" and felt at home from the moment we arrived. It is no wonder that Sleepy Hollow is so popular and had we more time we wouldhave been able to enjoy more of the area's offerings. We slept wonderfully, train and rooster noise didn't even enter our consciousness and awake to beauty each morning whether it was cherry orchards, the beautiful flower garden or the prolific and fantastic iron works. Thank you so much for making this stop so fun and restful!!
We had such an amazing time in Wenatchee and I think that the Peart family was the best part! They couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. They as well as the two other Boondockers who were also there at the same time are now new friends and we look forward to seeing them all again "down the road".
Nuts and bolts: we're not small at 40ft and access was quite simple. Power and water were available for us and easy to reach.
They are wonderful hosts, very gracious and accommodating. I felt like part of their family while I was there. The steel sculptures on their property are numerous and extremely creative.
EZ in out. Outside town. Welded items galore and friendly guy by name of Asher.
Nice to have been able to meet other travelers while there.
Appreciated the hospitality and happy hour(s).😊
We enjoyed our stay. They are very welcoming and helpful hosts. Easy in and out parking with power and water available. We would happily stay here again.
I enjoyed meeting the Sleepy Hollow folks and their parking spot was quite nice. I especially liked looking at all their welding art. If you like Kokopeli, you will love this place. Thanks for a great visit.
Wonderful stay-quiet level spot in "garden of Eden" like setting. Nice conversation about world travels around a campfire with wine. Does it get any better?
Delightful folk..so much so I stayed TWO nights.....and encourage them to do BooDockers themselves. My first experience as a BD..and what a start!
We needed a place to overnight late and received a warm response, with instructions to find our way in the dark. Pull through and level site with electricity was much appreciated! Highly recommended.
This was our first Boondocker experience and Sleepy Hollow Boondocker set the bar High for our future experiences. They are such an interesting couple to visit with and their entire family was extremely gracious to us. We loved the location central to all we wanted to see and do. Water and electricity were provided and we felt safe and welcome here. We'll be back!
Shirley and Jack are wonderful hosts! They have a beautiful place adorned with Jack's talent in iron works and lovely flowers everywhere. They have a fenced yard for the dogs and a sweet dog for them to play with. Couldn't have been better!
We did not get the pleasure to spend any real time with our guests but they were awesome! They already has a booking for the time we were there but they made room for us! Jack works with metal and makes some of the greatest art! They have a great location, it was flat, easy to get into and out of and even had water & electric available. If we are ever in the area again we will try and stay here again and hopefully get to spend some more time with Jack & Shirley.
Thank you again for making foom for us!
Our 1st Boondockers Welcome experience. It can be a little awkward right off, but Jack & Shirley couldn’t have been a better stop to get started! They are very gracious to say the least. They give you your space when needed and also stayed close enough by to help you with getting to know their hometown and great ideas for day trips. Two very interesting people here! Thank you Jack & Shirley! Staying with you will be one of the bright lights of our cross country trip! Jon & Sarah
We really enjoyed our time with Jack and Shirley and would highly recommend them. Both were very accommodating and helpful and made of feel right at home. We travel with two small dogs and they loved the chance to run and play with their super sweet laberdoodle. The RV spot was gravel with access to power and water so that was a nice bonus. I hope we get a chance to cross paths with this couple again sometime.
Great hosts We've got a beautiful welcome meeting in their backyard.
Jack create fabulous aircraft with metal. We didn't notice it when we arrive, but when we got a look at it, we saw all the work behind each piece of art.that he created.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sleepy Hollow. Very convenient location. Easy to get to and get set up. They are such gracious hosts. Loved getting to know them and hearing about their travels. Definitely enjoyed evening happy hours! They gave us great ideas on sights to see. Don't miss Ohme Gardens! We hope to stay there again sometime.
This was our second stay at this fabulous spot as we passed back through the area after a wedding. Jack and Shirley welcomed us back with open arms. We will not hesitate in contacting them when we happen to be in the area again! Happy travels to them, and perhaps our paths will cross somewhere further south, when escaping the winter months!
The Pearts get a blue ribbon in the host category.
Sleepy Hollow is enchanting with the wonderful art and colorful gardens. This place makes my eyes and my heart happy. Love lives here.
We shared cocktails, dinner and met some of the family and a neighbor. Our dogs played together.
The next morning we took a short walk to the river to get our toes wet, it was fabulous.
Thank you Peart family, we hope to return again soon. I am SO happy that we do not live so very far away.
Monica, Dave and Katy Scott
Jack and Shirley, thank you so much for being such great hosts! We had a terrific time in your beautiful spot. Thanks, especially, for the electrical hookup so that we could run our air conditioner while it was hot, and for the water to power our shower--and Happy Hour with your family was just the best! We hope that you keep hosting so that we can come back and see you again. Cheers! -- Amy & John
If you are traveling through the area (which you should - the North Cascades are incredible!), take a rest at Sleepy Hollow and enjoy great conversation with great hosts. They have plenty of room for all that is easy to access and flat.
Level, exceedingly well groomed site. We were immediately embraced within the family whilst they were Celebrating a Birthday. We were treated as family, wined and dined and generally spoilt. Talk about having all your birthdays at once. A big thanks to two people of generous spirit and intent.
Amazing hosts at Sleepy Hollow! We had a great time awing over his creativity with metal yard art. If only we had a larger space in our 21’ RV or a yard to put it in! She joined us river kayaking one day and they both gave us plenty of information on the area and suggestions for places to see and things to do. We also enjoyed visiting with their other guests. As we departed after our extended stay, it wasn’t good-bye, but ‘til we meet again!’
Shirley and Jack ate wonderful peoples and really accomodating. Spend part of the evening sitting with them and other Boondockees on their patio drinking wines and having fun.
Thanks Shirley and Jack
Sleepy Hollow hosts are definitely not your run-of-the-mill hosts. These folks are exceptional. Their site is very nice, clean and inviting. They definitely make you feel welcome. Thank you both for a great time at Sleepy Hollow!
So enjoyed spending the afternoon evening with our hosts We were amazed at all the welded art he has created around their yard. Fantastic huge wind chimes, so many he wasn't sure how many he had made. Her garden is wonderful. She gave us some veggies from her garden, as well as some apricots and a bag of cherries they had on hand from friends. Enjoyed sharing during their Happy Hour and talked about each others travels.
The Sleepy Hollow owners welcomed us to their beautiful home. Their yard had lush grass, beautiful flowers and intriguing metal art. They offered water and electricity, then gave us fresh cherries for the road. It was an easy drive to Leavenworth. We hope to journey there again.
Jack and Shirley are positively splendid. They were extremely warm and welcoming upon our arrival, and happy to offer all sorts of local points of interest and diversions while we stayed on their beautiful property. Our first evening we enjoyed happy hour in the backyard with them, which lasted well into the late hours—a sign of great conversation! They even offered for us to stay an extra night which we gladly accepted. Asher has been a very gracious pup host to our Cricket, which is always a nice treat to have a dog friend! We very much look forward to spending more time getting to know them should we pass through this part of Washington again.
We stayed here June 2018 and it was our first BW Stay. They are friendly hosts and a creative team. Thoughtfulness and genuine characters, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We recommend their bw hollow and look forward to passing through in the future.
Jack and Shirley are so warm and welcoming we felt like we were visiting with old, dear friends! Their place is lovely and peaceful and they have the sweetest dog.
If you're ever passing this way, we highly recommend you boondock at Sleepy Hollow. It was a wonderful experience :)
Our stay at Sleepy Hollow could not have been any better. Not only was the site very well laid out with electric and water, it also had plenty of room and a turn around. Our hosts were absolutely delightful and could not have been more welcoming. While enjoying an evening inside due to high winds one evening, and around the backyard camp fire the next evening, everywhere you looked were artistic creations made by the hosts to feast your eyes upon. Very talented hosts!
We highly recommend these hosts and look forward to stopping again next time we are in the area.
My dogs & I stayed overnight with "pearts" & had a great boondock. When we got there, we were invited for a visit in their back patio with another couple that were also boondocking. It was a great time, great spot, & will definitely stop by again on future travels thru the area. Also, Asher is a great friendly dog, & got along wonderfully with my 2. If you are in their area, stop by, you'll be glad you did.
Pearts welcomed us with our National flag and let us feel welcomed , we shared drinks and food on thier patio in the beautiful garden.
Thank you very much , we will cherish the time we spent together.
Pearts were so welcoming, and greeted us with a sweet gift of hand-picked cherries. They were very respectful of our space and privacy. Their RV spot is wonderful and level with easy-to-access hookups. We will absolutely be keeping them in mind the next time we visit Washington.
We loved our time with "Pearts". Joining them for happy hour on the patio was very relaxing and the conversation was refreshing. They were extremely hospitable and warm. We wouldn't wish to stay anywhere else if we pass through again. Our only issue was that they set the bar so high for future stops! Hopefully one day we'll be able to extend the same hospitality to them.
Pearts were absolutely lovely hosts. We were invited to drinks by the fire and even went to their Thanksgiving dinner.. felt like we were part of the family.
Super easy access and pull through spot.
So so so thankful for their hospitality and help.
Hope to see you two and the family again!
As you can see from all of the recommendations, the Pearts are such fun and hospitable people! We spent happy hour with them on their back patio and had lots of laughs and interesting conversation. They have a great set up for campers. We went to Leavenworth and it is definitely worth the visit! Such a cute Bavarian town. I hope they visit us someday, they were so much fun to spend time with!
Our second boondocking stop ever , Jack and Shirley were awesome hosts , inviting us to join them in the very interesting back yard for "happy hour" we surely had a great visit. Also suggested sights to see for our day at their location. My trailer sustained some wind damage during our travels. Jack handily supplied and helped install the adequate material to fix me up! Super stay highly recommend !
Our hosts at this site are amazing -- friendly, welcoming, and we really enjoyed this stop. Unfortunately, we were on a roll and only stayed one night but we surely hope to stay longer next time! As I rolled in and they were pointing out the power outlets (30 amp *and* 50 amp), the water hookup, etc., I was bragging about our 420 watt panel and how we live as if we're plugged in 24/7 even though we almost never are. Then I stepped outside and realized how HOT it was that day. Within minutes, we plugged into their 30 amp outlet -- turned on the AC *and* the ceiling fan. When we returned from happy hour, it was so cold inside we turned it all off. :o) Our hosts here are interesting and fun to talk with. We look forward to staying here again. The huge wind chimes that he builds during the summer months are an extra special treat all by themselves -- simply amazing. The hosts spend their winter months in AZ so they truly understand the needs of RVers -- access is easy on a pull-through loop = plenty of room.
JIM & ANNIE
We stayed three nights at Jack and Shirley's wonderful home sitting on the scenic Wenatchee River in the midst of verdant orchards and majestic mountains. Obviously Jack and Shirley enjoy meeting new people and we felt most welcome. They know the area well and we took them up on several recommendations like visiting Leavenworth, WA and the Rocky Reach dam and fish ladder. The trail system in Wenatchee is easily accessible from their beautiful home. Wonderful setting and wonderful, kind, friendly hosts. Jack is an amazing artist so keep your eyes open as you make interesting discoveries from every angle. I imagine it will take more than one visit to notice it all. Subtle and beautiful. Thanks again.
We very much appreciated staying two nights here on this beautiful property! The Pearts are wonderful and welcoming and we are so grateful for their time and hospitality. They gave us plenty of tips for what to do in the area and offered that we stay longer to take it all in. The area itself is stunning with orchards and rushing rivers all around. Thanks again!
We absolutely loved, loved, LOVED this stop. We gave very little notice and they accommodated us with open arms. What an oasis after a long, hot drive. Jack & Shirley were so kind to us and our dog too. Very nice, level spot. A++. Nice views, soft green grass & peaceful. Lots of great spots nearby to buy fruit, veggies & wine. OhMe Gardens were nearby and really cool to see. Levensworth was awesome. We will be back for sure. We hope to host boondockers someday when we settle and pay the kindness forward. Thanks Perts!!
We haven't stayed at many Boondockers Welcome locations, but this is a top notch location. Jack and Shirley are very friendly and very accommodating. You won't be disappointed staying here. Jack's artistic ability with iron Works is amazing. We can't wait to come back to this part of the country and visit again. They will be top of the list for our next Boondocking stay in the region.
We didn't expect our short stay would would include a great visit with such wonderful people. Will absolutely stop by the next time we are passing through. The only challenge is whether We should bring a bottle of white or red. Oh hec, we'll bring both!
Jack and Shirley are warm, welcoming hosts. They are both interesting people with lots of traveling experience to share. Their property provides a comfortable stopover.
