We live outside Prescott, AZ; our property borders National Forest so we are private, secluded and quiet. Those of you with pets will need to keep an eye on them (and a leash at all times outside your RV) due to the mountain lion, coyote, javelina and fox population here. We frequently see deer on our property.
15 amp electricity only, water is available.
While this website requires us to specify a minimum and maximum time frame for contacting us, we are pretty flexible and have had people stay the night they contacted us and have had Boondockers make arrangements to stay weeks in advance. Feel free to contact us when you know your plans. We have found that 2 nights' stay is about right for us.
No "rules" but we are hopeful you will be respectful of our property.
We are at the top of a hill with paved road access. Our driveway is about 12' wide and 200' long, a bit winding with trees that are very close (and a drop off on one side.) . Although it is a circle drive at the top, the circle is tight and not conducive to use by longer RVs.
The driveway is long, narrow, winding with a drop-off on one side and trees very nearby. There is a circle at the top that is very tight. If your rig length totals more than 30' it is very doubtful you will fit. We usually have enough space to park your tow vehicle on our property. Please let us know ahead of time what you might need.
Grand Canyon is about 2.5 hours away.
This spot is gorgeous, the views can’t be beat. In a lovely neighborhood and near downtown Prescott. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Had a peaceful stay.
we arrived later than we’d hoped, right after sunset, and our hosts were quick to greet us and were kind. the stars were gorgeous later that night! we chatted briefly in the morning before we left, they greeted us and sent us off with a smile.
Easy to understand why they are "HappyinAZ. Such a beautiful location in the shadow of Granite Mountain with the national forest for a back yard. Very welcoming and pleasant hosts.
I could not have picked a better spot for my first outing of the season! Beautiful views, close to a couple of great hikes, and the only sound was the wind in the trees. It's unfortunate due to the virus that we were not able to spend time visiting with our hosts so we hope to meet them again in the future! It was a very kind gesture for HappyinAZ to be open to hosting during this chaos!
Life for us all has changed during this time and I, speaking for many nomadic travelers, are blessed to have people still providing a welcome and safe place to stay.
Gorgeous view! Nice hiking areas. Thank you W & R 😊
Wonderful hosts in a quite neighborhood. Plenty of recreation surrounding this area. Wish we could have stayed longer.
I enjoyed my stay with HappyinAZ very much! Parking for my van was easy and they provided a 15 A electrical hookup and fresh drinking water. The location is very convenient for the lakes and granite dells the area is known for. I’d return in a heartbeat.
We were hurten for certain in Sonoma with no campsite available. With all the recent rain forest service roads were a mud sloppy mess. The first night we barely made it out of our pigpen. Called HappyinAZ on short noticed and they bailed us out without knowing our situation. Things went from a dire to happy in AZ. What a beautiful home they have with a perfect spot for our campervan overlooking the snow covered mountains. Spent the day at scenic Watson Lake enjoying the outdoors. After dinner we were invited into there home for some coffee, tea, and the best homemade walnut brownies I've ever had. The evening rolled along with some great conversation and another sound sleep not having to worry about getting stuck in the mud.
Wonderful place to boondock ... the view of the mountain was awesome and even saw a javelina at night. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We had a pleasant stay.
Our hosts were very welcoming, but we were in the area to get some personal business done and didn't get to visit with them much. They offered us coffee and coffee cake before we left.We had a nice chat. Our 25ft class a fit in their driveway just fine. They have a beautiful home and yard. We would like to visit Prescott again just as tourists and would love to stay here again.
Wonderful hosts and a very nice setting. Thank you for waiting for us and helping us set up our rig.
Happily surprised to see a family of deer while enjoying our breakfast
Great location , close to Jerome and Sedona
New members of Boondockers Welcome and this was our first stay with a club host. Wendalyn and Roger are gracious hosts whose only real rule is that the guest respects their property. They offer 15A electric and water, if needed. Panoramic views from their property, particularly the RV parking spot, are incredibly gorgeous. The hosts are attentive but are not obtrusive... just right for us. We would not hesitate to stay with them again.
If this first experience is indicative of all Boondockers Welcome hosts, we will surely recommend all our RV friends join and we will consider becoming hosts ourselves once we check with local authorities.
This was a lovely place to park for the view. Hosts were accommodating. Verizon connection very slow.
Couldn't ask for more gracious hosts and their views from the mountains is spectacular! I had a great time visiting with both of them and look forward to staying with them again in the future!
What a lovely couple that are willing to share their beautiful property and driveway with strangers! We had a great view and a great time Preskitt! Thank you!
What a fabulous place and Wendy and Roger (and Dulce) welcomed us with gracious and generous hospitality. It was so nice that Maggie and I were able to stay another day and enjoy the view and hiking from the house. Coffee, cake, water, conversion and a tour of the house topped things off!!
.... and very welcoming hosts. Beautiful place, fantastic views, quiet and secure.
Would go back anytime.
This was our 1st experience using Boondockers Welcome and it couldn't have been any better! Our hosts were amazing! They offered us electricity and water and the night before we left they invited us to have coffee and cake 😁
Roger and Wendalyn are very kind, friendly and fun people to spend some time with. We really enjoyed talking with them and we loved their hospitality and kindness.
In two words(?) : Wonderful hosts!
Their property is amazing, their home and the views are stunning! It is peaceful, quiet and very save.
If you need a place to stay in Prescott area, this should be definitely your number one choice, 100% recommended!
Our stay was wonderful!
The location is perfect if you like to see wildlife or take a day trip to any of the surrounding areas. We saw many Javelinas at close range right in the yard! We also took a day trip to the Grand Canyon, a bucket-list item for us!
HappyinAZ were lovely hosts with an impressive travel record of their own. We really enjoyed sharing stories with them over coffee! Thanks for all the suggestions of places to see. We will have to come back and spend more time in Arizona someday!
Let us know next time you're in Colorado!
Very grateful to stay here for a few nights, hosts were very welcoming and accommodating, it snowed a few inches while we were there and we even enjoyed a fresh latte in the morning! The views are spectacular. They have a nice little flat spot in their circular driveway that overlooks a mountain and city far away. Didn’t see any wildlife ourselves but it was quite cold during our stay! We were happy to make use of the extension cord that was laid out for us before arrival. Thank you!
We had a delightful, quiet stay with Wendalyn and Roger. We enjoyed meeting them and staying on their beautiful property overlooking national forest land and Granite Mountain. They were generous with their time, space, electricity, and coffee...all were a true gift! Our pup enjoyed playing with their pup as we listened to stories of their travels and fascinating lives! We hope to cross paths with Wendalyn and Roger again!
Such a nice quiet spot to boondock up on Granite Mt. and close to Prescott.....the view is wonderful but watch out for the mountain lions 🦁 (there are even photos to prove their presence in the drive way 😼🙅♂️😁). Hosts R&W are most hospitable and welcoming, with plenty of information about the surrounding district. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....especially our evening chats over coffee and chocolate cake on the veranda watching the sun go down. Would love to return the favour if they ever come to Australia.
Gorgeous mountain views set the stage for a quiet stay. Helpful hosts too.
This lovely couple accepted our short visit on short notice and the spot was perfect for our 26’ sprinter. The view from our spot was awesome. Hope to visit them again!
We enjoyed our stay with this active congenial couple on their long view property.
The approach to parking spot is narrow and windy. Turning radius is limited. We easily parked a Cssita with Exploer TV.
Wildlife watching was good.
Our request to stay was recieved by Wendalyn and Roger the morning they arrived home at 1:00am from a long overseas vacation, yet they still accepted it! When we arrived two days later they were still feeling jet lagged. They were welcoming, offering us electricity and water. The morning after our first nights stay, they invited us to come over that evening for cake and coffee. We enjoyed our visit and witnessed a beautiful sunset from their patio which overlooks Granite Mountain and the National Forest surrounding it. Thankyou Wendalyn and Roger for your hospitality!
We stayed one night at our host's place, had a nice chat with both and relaxed over a very nice view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The property is nice and clean. We spotted a couple of deers nearby.
They were flexible and accommodating. I enjoyed a lovely conversation after I arrived and briefly before I had to go. My schedule was pretty full while I was in Prescott, and was offered dinner that I wasn't able to accept (definitely above and beyond!).
The site is gorgeous with spectacular views. The driveway is mostly flat and very nicely paved. I was a little concerned about leaving tire marks, but the host assured me that any left would wash off in the next rain.
Great experience with wonderful hosts. Chocolate cake, beverages, and enjoyable conversation, it doesn't get better than this.
The site has incredible views and beautiful quiet which made for a restful night.
We had a chance to sit down with the hosts and had coffee before we left. We enjoyed the conversation so much we happily left on on our journey an hour later than planned feeling enriched by the connection.
We look forward to a return visit with these wonderful hosts.
These hosts were very welcoming and helpful, they have a great site with fantastic views and backdoor hiking. The Indian ruin a short distance away was fun to explore. They are friendly and gave us lots of good information about the area. Enjoyed the time we spent here!
We really enjoyed their company, had some great conversation over the best coffee and home baking on our trip yet (and we have been going 10 months!). Lovely quiet location. Hopefully we will meet again on the road.
Lovely and helpfull people living in a beautiful place with Great view over the mountains! We get a Great advice for hiking near the Watson Lake and that was amazing! Thanks for the drinks and dessert, we loved it! Hope to see again when we come back end of this year!
Thanks for being at your place and nice talks!!

What a lovely location and even lovelier couple. They have a stunning home with great views. We had a great dinner with them one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful conversation. Such a welcoming couple.
Spent 2 nights there while visiting local family. Great views! Had coffee and cake with HappyinAZ and then a tour of their new home. Wow what a great place..... They made us feel very welcome....thank you HappyinAZ!
Our communications with them has been great. We are new to BoondockersWelcome.com and they have represented the group well. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip after a mishap with our tow vehicle. Rest assured, we will be reaching out to them again for our next trip to the area.
HappyinAZ were great hosts for a couple of days. They shared homemade cake last night while we chatted about our travels around their dining table. When they designed their beautiful new home they certainly took full advantage of the scenic view of Granite Mountain right beside them. Hoping they will visit us soon in Ontario!
We stayed with this lovely couple for one night and it was a great experience! Their house is beautiful and the views are spectacular. They were very accommodating and replied to our request very quickly. It was a great stay!
