We live outside Prescott, AZ; our property borders National Forest so we are private, secluded and quiet. Those of you with pets will need to keep an eye on them (and a leash at all times outside your RV) due to the mountain lion, coyote, javelina and fox population here. We frequently see deer on our property.
15 amp electricity only, water is available.
While this website requires us to specify a minimum and maximum time frame for contacting us, we are pretty flexible and have had people stay the night they contacted us and have had Boondockers make arrangements to stay weeks in advance. Feel free to contact us when you know your plans. We have found that 2 nights' stay is about right for us.
No "rules" but we are hopeful you will be respectful of our property.
We are at the top of a hill with paved road access. Our driveway is about 12' wide and 200' long. Although it is a circle drive at the top, the circle is tight and not conducive to use by longer RVs. For the longer RVs backing in (we've found) is the best option and we ask that you allow us to facilitate that when you arrive due to the winding driveway with trees that are very close. For those with RVs of 22' or so, you should be able to make the circle at
the top of the driveway without any problem. We can help direct you so you don't hit any of the decorative lights, rocks or plants.
We usually have enough space to park your tow vehicle on our property. Please let us know ahead of time what you might need.
We are spontaneous travelers. Send us a message to inquire about availability.
Please let us know what you have in the way of slide-outs and awnings when you message for availability.
Grand Canyon is about 2.5 hours away.
We had a delightful, quiet stay with Wendalyn and Roger. We enjoyed meeting them and staying on their beautiful property overlooking national forest land and Granite Mountain. They were generous with their time, space, electricity, and coffee...all were a true gift! Our pup enjoyed playing with their pup as we listened to stories of their travels and fascinating lives! We hope to cross paths with Wendalyn and Roger again!
Such a nice quiet spot to boondock up on Granite Mt. and close to Prescott.....the view is wonderful but watch out for the mountain lions 🦁 (there are even photos to prove their presence in the drive way 😼🙅♂️😁). Hosts R&W are most hospitable and welcoming, with plenty of information about the surrounding district. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....especially our evening chats over coffee and chocolate cake on the veranda watching the sun go down. Would love to return the favour if they ever come to Australia.
Gorgeous mountain views set the stage for a quiet stay. Helpful hosts too.
This lovely couple accepted our short visit on short notice and the spot was perfect for our 26’ sprinter. The view from our spot was awesome. Hope to visit them again!
We enjoyed our stay with this active congenial couple on their long view property.
The approach to parking spot is narrow and windy. Turning radius is limited. We easily parked a Cssita with Exploer TV.
Wildlife watching was good.
Our request to stay was recieved by Wendalyn and Roger the morning they arrived home at 1:00am from a long overseas vacation, yet they still accepted it! When we arrived two days later they were still feeling jet lagged. They were welcoming, offering us electricity and water. The morning after our first nights stay, they invited us to come over that evening for cake and coffee. We enjoyed our visit and witnessed a beautiful sunset from their patio which overlooks Granite Mountain and the National Forest surrounding it. Thankyou Wendalyn and Roger for your hospitality!
We stayed one night at our host's place, had a nice chat with both and relaxed over a very nice view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The property is nice and clean. We spotted a couple of deers nearby.
They were flexible and accommodating. I enjoyed a lovely conversation after I arrived and briefly before I had to go. My schedule was pretty full while I was in Prescott, and was offered dinner that I wasn't able to accept (definitely above and beyond!).
The site is gorgeous with spectacular views. The driveway is mostly flat and very nicely paved. I was a little concerned about leaving tire marks, but the host assured me that any left would wash off in the next rain.
Great experience with wonderful hosts. Chocolate cake, beverages, and enjoyable conversation, it doesn't get better than this.
The site has incredible views and beautiful quiet which made for a restful night.
We had a chance to sit down with the hosts and had coffee before we left. We enjoyed the conversation so much we happily left on on our journey an hour later than planned feeling enriched by the connection.
We look forward to a return visit with these wonderful hosts.
These hosts were very welcoming and helpful, they have a great site with fantastic views and backdoor hiking. The Indian ruin a short distance away was fun to explore. They are friendly and gave us lots of good information about the area. Enjoyed the time we spent here!
We really enjoyed their company, had some great conversation over the best coffee and home baking on our trip yet (and we have been going 10 months!). Lovely quiet location. Hopefully we will meet again on the road.
Lovely and helpfull people living in a beautiful place with Great view over the mountains! We get a Great advice for hiking near the Watson Lake and that was amazing! Thanks for the drinks and dessert, we loved it! Hope to see again when we come back end of this year!
Thanks for being at your place and nice talks!!

What a lovely location and even lovelier couple. They have a stunning home with great views. We had a great dinner with them one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful conversation. Such a welcoming couple.
Spent 2 nights there while visiting local family. Great views! Had coffee and cake with HappyinAZ and then a tour of their new home. Wow what a great place..... They made us feel very welcome....thank you HappyinAZ!
Our communications with them has been great. We are new to BoondockersWelcome.com and they have represented the group well. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip after a mishap with our tow vehicle. Rest assured, we will be reaching out to them again for our next trip to the area.
HappyinAZ were great hosts for a couple of days. They shared homemade cake last night while we chatted about our travels around their dining table. When they designed their beautiful new home they certainly took full advantage of the scenic view of Granite Mountain right beside them. Hoping they will visit us soon in Ontario!
We stayed with this lovely couple for one night and it was a great experience! Their house is beautiful and the views are spectacular. They were very accommodating and replied to our request very quickly. It was a great stay!
