We have limited boondocking available. Mostly for small RVs or campers. We have a Sprinter Van and that barely fits in our driveway, but we have street parking and the neighbors are pretty tolerant as long as its short term.
No smoking in our home.(outside) You may shower and use bathroom. If you want to use home space to relax etc.. Just get permission and be clear ahead of time about your needs. We are very accommodating.
We live in a quiet neighborhood with close homes. Our neighbors would probably not mind short term small RV parking in our driveway or on our street. Use of our BBQ and outdoor furniture is permitted and your welcome to our yard. Access to bathroom, shower, and plug in electric. Not recommended for large RV
We have a small side street that has room for smaller RV people. Vans and small trailers work well. We share the street with others so we try and be respectful of the size. Our driveway is small sand sloped so the street is probably the only option. Very quiet, safe neighborhood.
Send us a message if you are passing through and need a place to stop and/or visit Philadelphia. Our house will be up for sale soon and after that we will no longer be hosting.
Philadelphia, Magic Gardens,Eastern State Penitentiary, Wissahickon Valley, Longwood Gardens, much much more....
This is a great place to stay! Its close to the city without being too busy. Plus, you'll love the people. I feel like I left with more friends than I came with!
Paul and Julie provided a great spot for my little RV for two days. From their house I was able to take a bus into Philadelphia on July 3rd and 4th. It is a quick 30 minute bus ride to the center of Philly from their house. They also provided needed advice on visiting the city, since this was my first. A great host that is welcome anytime at my place. Visited several museums, took a bus tour, saw “Rocky”, “ The Thinker”, and many other works of art. Had a great Philly Steak Sandwich, ate at some pubs and street vendors. The weather in the city was hot, which was a good excuse for occasional icecream. A great stay. I was so hot that I was sure “The Thinker” was thinking about how to get some ice cream, not trying to solve some world problem.
We stayed at PaulnJulie for two nights. They live in a nice, quiet and friendly area that is a 15 minutes drive to downtown Philly. The Boondocking spot is in the street, but it is a private road, so almost no traffic and they can pass a cord for electricity. They also let us use there facilities wich was really convenient for us. These guys are great hosts, they know the city pretty well and gives you good tips for where to go. We were also lucky to get invited to a get together a neighbor hosted for Memorial Day. It gave us a chance to meet new people and to get to know our hosts better. We hope the visit us in Montreal!
