We live in the country on 13 acres, 5 miles north of Granbury, Tx. 15 miles South of I-20, exit 408. We are 35 miles Southwest of Ft. Worth.
Park in my driveway, 300 ft. long, inside my gate or at my shop next door.
All paved roads, Easy access off Highway 51. Sharp turn to get in my gate, I have no problems with my 35 ft. motorhome.
No problems getting into the shop area.
plenty of room on property
Anytime when we are home. We like to travel as much as possible. Gone most of the summer.
Granbury's is a great small town, nice town square for shopping and eating. Lake side community.
In March 2018, for the second time (first time in 2015), donnancy hosted us for two nights. Once again, we felt like at home… Discussing, joking and laughing,,, between good friends. Few weeks later, we met together for one day in a State Park in Louisiana…
And guess what! In summer 2019, we will have the pleasure to see them visiting us at home in Québec City, Canada. And we are planning to spend some days in camping in the countryside in the province of Québec… The Chef Marmiton is waiting for you!
Nevertheless the distances…, Bonndockers Welcome brings people together. Thanks Boondockers Welcome.
This was our first experience with Boodickers Welcome. We could not have imagined how good an experience it would be. Don and Nancy were wonderful hosts. The area was beautiful and quiet. Nancy gave us fresh eggs from their chickens which we cooked for breakfast. Both Don and Nancy are very friendly and helpful while still respecting our privacy. Don even told us of a better route home. Thank you Don and Nancy. We hope to see you guys again soon.
Very hospitable couple. Nothing was a problem. Invited us into their home and cooked a lovely meal for us. Great company with good conversations. We have come away with lots more places to see and things to do.
Our boys had fun playing with their grandchildren. They loved helping feed the animals and collecting the chicken eggs.
We hope to stay in touch.
I left Nancy and Don this morning feeling like I was leaving family. They invited me into their beautiful home on both days. Sharing wine, great conversation and dinner with their grandkids who were delightfully entertaining. I am confident that we will be in touch again - hopefully on their trip to Canada. They opitimize the idea of boondocking with their kind generosity.
Don and Nancy were most gracious and welcoming even though they had just returned from a 3 week trip themselves. Paved road and paved driveway made it easy with our 36' coach. Town of Granbury is a charming county seat, lots of shops to browse, about an hour from Ft Worth and the historic stockyards district. We feel badly that we cant host them at our place in that we are full-timers. They are great hosts and we had wonderful evening visits!
Don & Nancy embody Texas Hospitality with their warm welcome & helpful information about their area. Once again they welcomed me to their beautiful and Peaceful homestead and made me feel like an old friend. These are very special people and privileged to be their guest. Hope to stay in touch and meet again!

Don & Nancy are wonderful people, surrounded by beauty which they shared freely. After a warm welcome on a grey, rainy day Don directed me to park on the front driveway as their usual boondock site was wet grass. He lent me several water hoses and a extra long extension cord to reach both outlets and lent me a gate opener so I could come & go. Nancy came out in the rain to greet me and we got to enjoy a nice visit the next days when the weather improved. After hearing of my theft of my campsite things in Waco, including my water hose and new connectors, Don replaced both my quick-release and water pressure regulator when he noticed my older one was leaking and couldn't be fixed. I was so humbled & grateful for his kindness. (He also offered one of his spare hoses but I had gotten an extra. Such generosity clearly overrode disappointments.)
Granbury is a cute little historic downtown with plenty of interesting buildings, cafes, shops & a nice urban park to enjoy a few hours on a sunny day. Nearby are plenty of large box stores if so inclined.
With an invite to sit and visit, then join them for dinner, got a chance to learn more about these wonderful people, their Texas roots, careers & fellow RV'ers. Even though they were preparing for a large family weekend gathering, they were gracious, warm, friendly and went out of their way to make this traveler feel rooted and comfortable for a spell. Nancy, with many chores ahead, previously trained & showed dogs, took time out to teach me how to shear my pup's overlong locks to a more manageable length! They are Super Hosts for sure. If not traveling themselves, any fellow RVer would find themselves lucky to stay with Don & Nancy... I certainly felt blessed. Texas is growing on me.
They went above and beyond what we expected. They involved us in several activities and we spent a wonderful few days touring the area and discussing the boondocking experience. Excellent hosts.
what a wonderful couple! they were incredibly kind and very tolerable of our two little kids. i don't think we could have asked for a better first experience using boondockerwelcome! we may have been a bit more of a pain to them though, i hope to pass on the kindness sometime! thanks again for a great experience!
What a first experience for us with Boondockers Welcome at Dannamcy's home!!! Warm welcome. Friendly people. Nice place.
We met new good friends. We wish to see them at our home in Québec City, Canada.
Thanks very much to Nancy and Don. We highly recommand you.
