Hosts were out of town. Family member greeted us and settled us in. Loved the quiet remote location. Hosts were so friendly!
Oldtrojan66’s location was easy to find, convenient to the interstate and provided a solid level parking spot. He was available and immediately made us feel welcome. We are repeat guests for oldtrojan66 and always enjoy the conversation and wit.
We will request this site again when traveling through the area and highly recommend it to others.
Throughly enjoyed our stay, the family home and land had a beautiful view, with corn fields surrounding it, we were able to have a really nice conversation with our hosts at a very nice distance, would love to stay again, highly recommended. Thank you
Just what we needed on our trip to break it up. Host was super nice and welcoming. A couple of miles from the interstate was so convenient and the traffic noise was barely noticeable. Love overnight stays at the peaceful farm. Thanks for your hospitality.
Our host, David, was great. The location is easy to get to right off the interstate. Easy to pull into and turn around so we were headed to pull out in the morning. When we arrived we were greeted David. We had some pleasant conversation and went about our ways. In the morning we had 8 ears of sweet corn on our steps. David came out to see us off In the morning at 7:00 am. Great location and awesome host. Will stay there again if headed that way

We had to cancel original date but they were wonderful and flexible accepted us on the spur of the moment the next day. Beautiful peaceful surroundings and friendly helpful hosts. Will definitely head their way again someday on our travels and plan a slightly longer and more organized stay.
I love that this location was not far off the route we were taking. We got in late, and D. so generously came out and not only directed us on how to access the spot without backing in (still something we're getting used to) - he took the wheel and got us situated super quickly! :)
The location was beautiful with lots of open fields and we heard the distant sound of cows mooing which was fun to be quiet enough to hear - we stayed one night and were basically looking for somewhere to take a break from driving on our way from St. Louis to Pittsburgh and this was perfect - we had a peaceful rest and appreciate the spot! :)
OldTrojan66 were gracious hosts! Replied within minutes of our request to pop-in on our trek cross country. They helped us get parked and settled in even though it was late and dark. They have also put out reflectors for the edges of the driveway for easier parking at night.
The scenery we woke up to the next morning was beautiful and serene, we did not want to get back on the road and leave it behind! Next time we are passing through we will definitely reach out to stay here and see them again!
Big thanks to these hosts for hosting us on our very first Boondocking experience. Beautiful, peaceful setting. While the host was not present, the communication was easy, and welcoming. This location is also super convenient right off the highway in beautiful farm country. Highly recommend! Thank you again.
We stayed here overnight. Easy to find, easy access right off the interstate, but far enough away to be quiet. They had put out reflectors to mark the culvert. We were warmly welcomed. We highly recommend this Boondockers Welcome! host.
Thank you Oldtrojan66 we had a great stay at your place. It was nice and quiet and absolutely beautiful! I know you guys had to be wiped out from just getting home from your own month of RVing, but you were very helpful and friendly and we greatly appreciated your hospitality.
Hope to see you on the road.... Maybe in AZ.
You have our number :)
I am so happy we contacted this host as the response was quick, they put out reflectors so we would know where to park and their property was lovely. It's a quiet spot on a country road where my husband was able to fit in a brisk evening walk before retiring. Very convenient to two major highways and a gas station/convenience mart. I would definitely recommend these folks as they were very helpful and welcoming.
Host could not be home but allowed us to stay anyway. Their Grandson left a wedding to make sure we got settled in. Wonderful corn country. We were headed to NM from PA. The response time was within minutes. Hope to get back to meet our generous hosts.
We had a tough time saying goodbye to my ailing Brother earilier, then our Garmin got us lost. He still got out there in the dark to show us where their campsight was marked out. They could accommodate a few self contained RVs in their large location. They are only a short mile and 1/4 from the I-70 freeway. It is also a historic area where Wilbur Wright was born nearby. Nice Fellow but we couldn't visit much. He gets up for work at 4 AM. We would visit them again if they will have us!
