We can provide a van-sized (21 feet or 6.4 meters) paved space on our driveway in a 50's-era family-friendly neighborhood. You will be right at the edge of the tree-lined street. Residents' cars will drive down the street. Children will play in nearby yards and driveways. Neighbors will say to one another, "Oh, they have company again." ;-) So please do be thoughtful of our neighbors and their children.
Note: We can NOT offer guests WIFI but free WIFI is available at the town library a couple of miles away. Please do not ask.
There is a dump station less than 3 miles away at the town sewer department (10 Pine Road) for a fee. Free unsecured wi-fi is available at the town library a couple of miles away.
One slide-out or awning could go out over the front lawn but to maintain our garage access, there is no room for either on the other side. The driveway slopes down toward the street very slightly (for drainage). The town requires dogs to be cleaned up after and leashed when outside. No dogs on our lawn, please.
You would be an easy drive from I-295 and lots of interesting mid-coast Maine sights, museums, nature, shopping, and a surprising variety of restaurants for a town of around 20K people.
(If our site is not available or your rig won't fit, L. L. Bean in nearby Freeport offers a designated RV parking area and does allow overnight parking).
No smoking on property, please.
The town requires that dogs be on leashes and that owners carry plastic bags and "scoop" when walking them.
Children welcome -- this is a family neighborhood.
Please do be respectful of our neighbors.
Wide, well-paved town streets that accomodate school buses.
On-street parking for a tow vehicle is usually allowed...except during snowstorms...
Contact us to see if we a) are here and b) will have no other guests at the time you plan to be in the area. Availability is currently limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Museums, art galleries, and lots of restaurants are in this "foodie" town, plus outlet shopping, scenic coastline and walking/hiking/biking trails are all within easy reach.
The host family in Brunswick me .. just delightful! Helpful, kind and excited for us! They helped us figure out fun places to explore and shared yummy Maine water and a love of maps ! We enjoyed their company and the neighborhood!
Had so much fun chatting with our hosts. We shared a lot of van life stories. They were nice enough to share a lot wisdom and knowledge nuggets. Had a fun night! Thank you for making our stay fun and memorable. Looking forward to seeing you soon again or meeting out there in the wild! 😘
I enjoyed visiting with them, giving a tour of my van and seeing there’s Nice peaceful neighborhood with songbirds to awaken you in the morning! 😊

Wonderful stay! Very welcoming hosts and perfect location for all kinds of activities. Highly recommended.
Great location for exploring the area. Super sweet couple who were welcoming and informative. Driveway space was perfect for my 19’ Roadtrek
Very quiet, slept great. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful spot to stay close to town. Hosts were were very nice and especially accommodating. I would definitely recommend!!
Due to travel schedules we did not have the chance to meet these hosts but they did give us email advice about a great spot to boondock in their neighbourhood. Thanks!
We had a very relaxed and pleasant two nights with Mainah, while we attended a wedding and explored Brunswick and Harpswell, and fit in a quick shopping spree at Freeport. We strongly recommend Mainah to anyone who is wanting to visit this area.
Nice safe neighborhood
Close to town that has a lot of restaurants and things to do
Hosts were friendly and replied back quickly
Mainah were friendly hosts and we enjoyed our stay. It was lovely to chat with like-minded travellers and exchange ideas. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. Thank you very much for your great hospitality.
First night on the road as we headed south and our very first boondocking experience - Mainah was a great host couple we would highly recommend! Kind, friendly and very knowledgeable about smart, affordable travelling. Their tips, directions (and even maps!) became important staples on our journey from northern Nova Scotia to South Carolina. Thanks again Mainah!
We stayed with Mainah for 2 nights over Halloween this year. They are very welcoming and we were very comfortable at their house. We bought some candy to give out, so we got to enjoy the trick or treaters, and the trick or treaters loved getting extra candy at one stop! Had some great travel conversations with him, and when we asked he gave us some great tips about what to check out. Among his recommendations we made it to Land's End and Cape Elizabeth - both awesome and the sort of place we enjoy :) Thank you! Hopefully we see you again somewhere out there!
Mainah are two great people. I arrived in a middle of a heatwave (90F +) and had trouble with hooking up the power to my trailer. My wife was scorched, the dogs were panting but he did not give up till we had the power working and the Air Conditioning going. Great place to visit, LL Bean is only a few minutes away and worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our time with Mainah! They were incredibly welcoming, helped us find fun and interesting restaurants and sites in the Portland, ME area, and were so great to our kids. We all felt very welcomed and right at home. The space was perfect for our little camper, very level, and we slept great. A really great experience all around.
We had the opportunity to stay here a couple of nights and our hosts were terrific & very knowledgeable of the area. We appreciated the use of electrical & would recommend anyone to try this area, situated to any number of wonderful attractions. We have a small 20ft. motorhome which fit nicely into the driveway location.
