We can provide space up to maximum of 30 feet (including TOTAL length of any campervan, trailer/tow vehicle, bike rack, spare tire, etc.) along the side of the paved street in front of our house in a 50's-era family-friendly neighborhood. You will be right at the edge of the tree-lined street. One slide-out or awning could go out over the front lawn. Please arrive before sunset whenever possible. Residents' cars will drive down the street. Children may play in nearby yards and driveways. Neighbors will say to one another, "Oh, they have company again." ;-) So please do be thoughtful of our neighbors and their children. Note: We can NOT offer guests WIFI but free WIFI is available at the town library a couple of miles away. Please do not ask. There is a dump station less than 3 miles away at the town sewer department (10 Pine Road) for a fee. Free unsecured wi-fi is available at the town library a couple of miles away. The town requires dogs to be cleaned up after and leashed when outside. No dogs loose on our lawn, please. By the way, early on Sunday mornings our Sunday paper is delivered to our front door and this could potentially interrupt your sleep. You would be an easy drive from I-295 and lots of interesting mid-coast Maine sights, museums, nature, shopping, and a surprising variety of restaurants for a town of around 20K people. (If our site is not available or your rig won't fit, L. L. Bean in nearby Freeport offers a designated RV parking area and does allow overnight parking). Suggested Local Attractions: museums, art galleries, old buildings and houses, and lots of restaurants are in this "foodie" town, plus outlet shopping, scenic coastline and walking/hiking/biking trails are all within easy reach.

Love turning former strangers into new friends. Details: Retired medical professionals. Nonsmokers and nondrinkers. Quiet. Parents of four wonderful daughters. Grandparents to eight. Happily retired and enjoying having more time to travel around the continent and to enjoy beautiful Maine. ;-) Favorite Boondocking Locations: So far, except for a wonderful seven-week ~10,000 mile journey across to the west coast and back in our minivan "Class B- camper" and now a second 7,500 mile journey to the west coast and back in our Class B ProMaster campervan, we've primarily boondocked up and down the east coast en route between visits to family. Pennsylvania rest areas have been great spots to stop for some free sleep time. We've also overnighted at Walmarts, Truck Stops, friends driveways, and national forests. We're looking forward to meeting other hosts eventually as we have more opportunities to explore. Skills or Expertise to Share: Love to travel, love to plan inexpensive trips, and we are happy to share our travel experiences and recommendations.

the hosts were extremely kind. great conversation. We didn’t look close enough about pets and we had to drive diwn the street to let her potty. Parking was along the street for the night and made my hubby nervous. it is however a quiet neighborhood and the hos were very kind and helpful in getting us situated for the night. they were conveniently on our route

Our hosts met us when we arrived and provided lots of information on nearby sights and places to eat. Very kind and welcoming. Level surface at the side of a quiet street. Would definitely return.

Our hosts met us in the pouring rain, and we had a lovely visit with them before settling in for a quiet and restful night. They shared travel information and tips. Had a lovely conversation on multiple topics including van travel tips. Wonderful lovely couple actively involved with their community and humanitarian efforts.
