I'm a mile and a half off RT 522 north of Taos, NM and 8 mi. N. of Questa. My Gated driveway is a little rough but quite passable. I have room for 2, one no hookups, the other water and 20A electric.
Prior to planned arrival, email me for directions.
No smoking, pets on leash. Quiet time after dark please
Gravel and close trees, but I keep it trimmed enough to get in myself. Long trailers may have difficulty. Gate is kept locked and code is given upon arrival.
There is lots of acreage for parking
May-Oct. only as 8000 ft elevation and winter is harsh. At the present time, I must restrict to RVers without children. Message to see if we have an open spot. Gate code by email or phone only.
Red River, Taos, Rio Grande Gorge National Monument across highway, Latir wilderness in my back yard
We were running a day late due to a minor repair holdup and our gracious host were most accommodating of the change. My wife and I were treated to informed and balanced discussion and thoroughly enjoyed our days stay. We would definitely recommend a visit when passing.
Thanks P and A
We enjoyed our stay very much, our hosts let us feel at home and comfortable.
We feel that we made friends for life.
I just noticed the reference I left while on the road did not post to the website.
Paul was an extremely gracious host. We arrived just about dusk as he and spouse were about to sit down to dinner, yet he made sure we got parked and had access to power and water before returning to the dinner table.
We celebrated the Fourth of July by making some noise with black powder. Paul gave me a tour of his fantastic wood shop. A little bet of high desert paradise off the beaten path.
Paul and his spouse’s place is pretty close to paradise. Beautiful part of the country, far from the main road, hidden within thousands of trees. Warm welcome that made me feel at ease instantly. The wood workshop is worth the visit. Thanks for your hospitality.
After staying at the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado it was a likely choice to enjoy our boondockers membership and stop outside of Questa New Mexico. Off of hwy. 522 we were treated to a mountain pines oasis by our lovely host Paul. He met us at the gate with a big smile and a welcome! We were able to pull into a very nice and level spot and hook up with 20amp. He was gracious and showed us his fully functional wood shop. My husband and he talked of all things shop and rv related and I enjoyed painting in this magical setting. I hope that we can make this an annual trip before the snows fly. Many thanks and blessings to the two of you for hosting us!
What a beautiful location and just off the highway! Knowing we had to leave early in the morning, we arrived in time to have a good visit. But we underestimated how much we'd enjoy our time with this couple. Now we definitely have to come back and next time for longer! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope we can return the favor some day.
I stayed 2 nights, and was wholeheartedly welcomed. Met on Boondockers website.
