Very rural location in North Central Florida on Adams Lake. It's four acres of oaks & pines, with no house. We boondock here in our fifth wheel.
Last couple of miles are dirt/sand. Firm, you won't get stuck, but can be bumpy depending on when it was last graded.
Plenty of open space on the property.
Out of the area. No availability 2018.
Suwannee River is close, as are several springs. Gulf of Mexico or Gainesville are about an hour away.
My hosts were awesome. Very welcoming, helped me to feel right at home. My first night there we had a fire and shared stories. They told me of interesting places in the area to visit. The next day they took me to Troy springs and showed me around. They were just really great people. I would highly recommend stopping there. Even if it's a little out of your way.
We missed this couple when we first arrived in Florida but, two weeks later, tried again. What luck! The lake is even prettier than in their photo and they gave us the spot with the best view! Then provided a campfire and we hit it off immediately and shared many an adventure story. Having paddled every river in Florida, they insisted we simply cannot leave Florida without a float down the nearby Ichetucknee River with the most pristine clear springs in the entire state! They even offered to provide livery if we could come back on Sunday but, sadly, after leaving we had a vehicle breakdown and missed the opportunity. We're hoping our "raincheck has no expiry date and now we'll just HAVE to come back on a future visit.
