We were warmly welcomed by traveller 52 and their very gorgeous dog. We had a fabulous RV site, as good as any camp ground. We were sheltered by beautiful trees and at night the lighting strategically placed amongst the trees further enhanced the setting. Our hosts were so helpful and friendly, we had a few social catch ups over drinks, food and a campfire kindly provided by our host. I would highly recommend this stop and hope one day to be able to call on by once more. A big thanks from the travelling kiwis and we hope this finds you well during these very trying times.
A++ We loved our rest at Traveler 52's site. Beautiful place and an enjoyable evening of fellowship with other guest and host. Thank you, we hope to be able to stay again sometime.
This was our second stay with this wonderful couple in the last few weeks and it could not have been more enjoyable. Wine and cheese buy a fire and a day trip to quaint towns and lunch at a fabulous winery. We stayed an extra day to enjoy their hospitality. Many fond memories made!
What a great site. It was very peaceful and they have water and electric hookups. Enjoyed listening to the birds this morning. Loved our stay.
Even though my arrival was delayed, I received a warm welcome. I was exhausted from the road and had a wonderful recouping day there with everything I needed. Thanks.
Appreciated the house invite and conversation over a glass of wine. We are definitely of the same mindset.
Pretty extensive layout there. Lots of space and all the hookups.
Thank you again.
Traveler52 has individual spots with full hookups for a very small fee just like a secluded campground. Secure and quite it was one of the nicest boondocking spots I’ve stayed at I felt completely comfortable unhooking and exploring. My dog had an opportunity as well to go off leash as the area is fenced. Would highly recommend
Wow, I got a presidential escort and got to meet my hosts and have a great conversation upon arrival. If you want a great spot to spend a night or two near Stockton Ca this is the place. I was level and hooked up in minutes and had a very restful night sleep. I had to meet my nephew the next day but would have loved to stay longer. Hats off to this location and for the short time we visited these are fantastic hosts. Thanks guys!
They have their very own private campground set up with full hookups! Truly a rare find! We only intended to stay for a day or two, but the weather was bad and they were very flexible with us staying longer for a reasonable rate to ride out the bad weather. They made us feel very welcome and right at home. We would gladly stay here again.
Cathy and Bill were extremely warm, welcoming, and helpful. Their place is beautiful and we would have loved to stay longer if the timing had worked out.
Bill and Cathy were wonderful hosts. Great big property, beautiful garden, and lots to do within 30min. They have full hookups! A great place to stop for a couple nights. Highly recommend!!!
The place is beautiful, quiet and accessible, the hosts are super welcoming and simply awesome. They offered me electric and wine :-) Thanks so much, Bill and Cathy!
Last summer we stayed with Bill and Cathy at their summer place in northern Idaho and had a wonderful time. We were so pleased to discover their California place was right on our route as we head back to the Northwest. Nestled among orchards and redwoods, this spot is so lovely and quiet it's hard to leave!
Only stay here if you enjoy beauty, peace, gracious hosts and lovable Labrador Retrievers :)
It's tough to describe how amazing Traveler52 are. They stayed with us a few months ago and we enjoyed their company so much we made a point to stop and stay with them on our way south. So glad we did. Their home and property are amazing and we got to know them even better. People often ask us why we are members of Boondockers, specifically they ask "what do you get out of this?". The experience we had with Traveler52 is the answer. It's meeting wonderful people like them, hosting them at your home and then having the chance to see how and where they live, and getting to know them even better. People like this are rare. As I was typing this message I even got a text from them making sure we made it to our next stop safely (weather was a bit iffy).
Thank you guys for sharing so much with us. Looking forward to your next stop in Reno to stay with us!
This stop made for a very restful night for my wife and I. Just what we needed for a quick secure and safe overnight spot. Bill met us at the gate and directed us in and Cathy came out in the darkness to greet us. Only wish we would have had more time to get to know them a bit better. Thank so much for allowing us to stay with you!
We had a great experience staying at Traveler52’s place for a night on our way to see family for the holidays. He has a fantastic and easy to navigate set up and was very friendly and hospitable and the setting was beautiful. Highly recommended!
We were very surprised arriving at this place. Beatiful place to stay. They have everthing a boondocker could Dream About. Thank you Bill and Cathy.
We would recommend this place to all travelers.
Very nice hosts. And what a beautiful location. They have built a private RV park in their backyard. We felt like we were in a state or national park.
We wish them the best with their Idaho location.
B&C are welcome to stay with us anytime if they are ever in our area in their travels.
What great hosts, and what peaceful, calm surroundings. We couldn't ask for a better spot and better folks to spend our nostalgic visit back to a town we lived in 53 years ago. Thanks so much Traveler52 and we hope we will someday, be able to be your host. Thank you so much.
We were looking for a Boondocker after we left San Francisco to Yosemite and found Bill and Kathy.
We arrived in Stockton in the late afternoon and Bill gave us detailed instructions how to find the property.
After a 20min drive Bill welcomed us on the main road and opened the gate to the beautiful property.
We could park our motorhome next to the shop and Bill provided us power and water. Afterwards he invited us for a glas of wine in the house. There we had a really nice chat together with him, his wife Kathy and Jim, another boondocker. Afterwards, we got a guided tour around the property and an introduction in Bills 40ft RV.
Our dog Bella enjoyed the stay as well, playing unleashed with Kahlua.
We really appreciate you guys hosted us. It was a blast! Many thanks! Safe travels and take care!!!
Tobias & Diana
What a wonderful welcome Bill and his wife Cathy gave me! At their request, I phoned them about 15 minutes before my arrival at their lovely place in the countryside so they could open their entrance gate for me. I felt like they were welcoming the President of the United States!
After parking my rig and meeting their friendly dog Kalua, Bill and Cathy invited me over to their gorgeous home for a glass of wine. Later, two other Boondocker Welcome guests from Germany arrived and joined us. It was a wonderful evening!
I very highly recommend Traveler52. Thank you for your gracious hospitality!
Bill and Kathy were wonderful hosts! And the little piece of paradise that they have built is fabulous! What an oasis! In fact, I threatened to pull the wheels off my rig and become the resident vagrant. Their hospitality was second to none. An earlier referral made reference to how they had set the bar... They are the bar! Thank you so much and give Kahlua a hug from me!
We stayed with Traveler52 for two nights. We could have stayed longer it was so nice there. These hosts were so helpful, and even lent me a tool to clean out our hot water heater. Something I didn't even know I was supposed to be doing. They gave us a tour of their beautiful home, and their amazing rig. We want to be like them when we grow up. If you're travelling through the Stockton area, you won't regret stopping and meeting these hosts, they have a great spot.
The location was perfect for us. We were having trouble with our truck and ended up in the shop for over a week. Traveler52 was super nice and even offered us a ride to the repair shop.
Great hosts and beautiful property. Absolutely stunning, clean site.
What a perfect location! It felt like my own mini private campground. the owners are very helpful and give if you wish advice and tips. On my last evening they make a nice fire and whit some drinks and a nice applebread we where chatting about the good and bad things in life. Dog Khalua is a fun and friendly dog that came to greet me every now and then, so sweet. If you are around I recomand this Boondockadres, it is nice and save and the hosts are great!
Wow, what a stunningly beautiful location with such lovely and generous hosts! The children also adored their gentle dog, Kahlua. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!
we met traveler52 over a meal at a prior boondock and enjoyed their company so much we wished to travel to their site. It is an amazing place to be... and they are amazing hosts
Wow, this property makes you feel like you're at an rv resort! Amazingly friendly hosts with an adorable pup that our dog absolutely loved. They gave us great suggestions to check out in the area and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again for letting us stop by!
We stayed 2 nights on Traveler52's property and were welcomed from the start. We shared stories over a bottle of wine and got to love on their sweet dog Kahlua. We drove into San Francisco from here (a bit of a drive with lots of traffic) and spent the other day checking out local wineries. We enjoyed our stay and hope to see them again over the road!
Let me tell you about Traveler52, boondockers welcome is where we met, but the journey has not stopped there, we have stayed at there place(s) many times and it has always been a spectacular time, excellent hosts, a wealth of knowledge about the local sites, they are always willing to help guide us at a moments notice, and they know how to throw a party. We just cant say enough good things about this family. They will always be family to us. There site is more like an RV Resort, quiet, spacious, perfect.
The hosts met us on the corner of their street with a smile and waving arms, guiding us onto their property. They directed our 41 foot fifth wheel into a back in spot with everything we needed. Our kids loved playing on the property and enjoyed their lab as well.
The hosts were very friendly and accommodating to our random schedule. We needed to stick around for a while as our truck was making funny sounds and needed to be taken to a few different shops.
Travelers52, thanks for your hospitality!
Well we arrived 3 months earlier than intended, but these guys still welcomed us in our Time Of Need and were so helpful. Despite the dark late hour they were professional in guiding us in; and thanks for the facilities. We only wish we had more time to chat and get to know them better. Big Thanks! Dave’n’Kim
Cathy and Bill have set the bar very high for us and Boon docking. They are some of the most gracious and giving people we have met on our journey. We had plans of traveling to Yosemite and ended up not leaving the property. Fine wine, puppies, swimming and all the comforts of home. I highly, highly recommend Cathy and Bill and this little oasis out in the country amongst farmland and orchards. Thank you!!!
We had the best time! Cathy and Bill are wonderful hosts, and their place is lovely. We called out of the blue from the Boondockers Welcome Website and they were so welcoming. They gave us all kinds of good tips about the area, and Frank and Bill traded stories about fixing RV's, while we cooked chicken cacciatore in the Dutch Oven. Cathy even took us for her favorite morning walk. We are very much looking forward to being able to host them when they come to Washington.
Very welcoming and friendly couple. Offered us free dry camping, or a very reasonable price for full hookups (which we gladly accepted!) Large fenced in yard, dog friendly. Would love to stay here again when we're in the area. Top notch.
Beautiful home and rv sites. Better than any campground you could find.
Gracious hosts, fine wine and good time
easy to access
Don't let the distance from the freeway discourage you.
Thank you again Bill and Kathy. Hope to see you in Oregon this summer.
Bill & Kathy are incredible hosts and we were fortune to be able to stay at their place near Stockton, CA. The home is in a rural area East of town and Bob has done an incredible job on creating an RV Oasis on his property. They were incrediby gracious with our two boys and patient with the adults as we are learning the ropes of the RV life, heading out on a countrywide adventure this year. They are avid divers and had a fun video we watched about some of their own adventures. They shared the road is calling them as well, please open your home to them, great people!
This was the first time we've stayed with anyone from the site and, from the initial contact to the (hopefully not) final goodbye, it was a great experience. Bill and Cathy have provided a terrific facility in their large yard which in itself would be a recommendation, but the were also so very friendly and welcoming as we shared experiences over a bottle of wine.
We'd hope to stay with the again sometime
A huge thank you to Bill and Kathy, graciious hosts and their dog Kahlua. Wonderfully, peaceful accomodations on two acres with 125 Redwood trees. Since this was our first experience using Boondockers Welcome, it was such a positive experience that it won't be the last. Thanks again so much Bill and Kathy. I hope you enjoy your upcoming month of travels.
Great couple with adorable dog!
A great, peaceful place to park up just off #99 near Stockton.
Perfect hosts, sheltered parking.
Had a wonderful time meeting Bill and Cathy! They have a beautiful place and were great hosts - their hospitality was unbeatable! Hope to see them again - either their place or ours.
