I live in an older neighborhood with easy access to main roads. My driveway is basically level and I can provide house current (15 amp) or 30amp. There are many trees so a big motorhome would find it difficult to maneuver but a Class B or C would do just fine. My RV is 22 ft so anything over 30 ft is problematic. No turn around, so backing in or out would be necessary. Suggested Local Attractions:nc state fair grounds. Triangle area has many attractions from academic to cultural.

I am retired. My wife died last year from ALS. I travel in an 2003 Isata Sports Sedan. Details: I am a retired independent school administrator and teacher of history. originally from Massachusetts, I went to Amherst College '64 and have taught in seven independent schools up and down the east coast. The last one is in Raleigh,NC where I currently reside. My 22' sports sedan is comfortable and compact enough to fit about any where. I boondock a lot because I need to stretch the funds as far as possible. My hobbies are biking and hiking. When my wife was alive, We travelled the country biking Rails to Trails routes and greenways of various cities. Currently living with my son, Randy who thinks a guy approaching 80 needs a companion. Home Town: Raleigh, NC Favorite Boondocking Locations: we love the woods, lakes and mountains. I admit to loving to stay overnight in truck stops, walmarts, and Cracker Barrel parking lots! Skills or Expertise to Share: I have been RVing since 1972, travelled across the country about 10 times and have 182000 miles on my Isata sports sedan. I can impart good information for newbies especially, if they want to boondock extensively.

We had a wonderful stay at Jim's place. The parking was level and he provided power to our rig. We stayed two nights which gave us time to visit with friends in the area. We also shared a dinner around the firepit with Jim and his son Randy. Interesting and lovely people! Hope our paths cross in the future! Jim - we owe you a recipe for the marinade!

The parking was as advertised—nice flat driveway spot perfect for a smaller rig. Jim and Randy were extremely welcoming and generous, I felt at home as soon as I arrived and learned a ton about RVing throughout my stay. Most of all, they are good people and great company to spend a couple of nights with around a campfire. I would certainly stay here again!

Great conversations around the bonfire both nights, and very welcoming to me and my current foster dog, nice neighborhood for walks, too. Truly excellent hosting.
