I have a converted box van and love Boondocking on the gulf coast and Smoky mountains. Details: I am semi-retired and hope to travel more in the future, and would love to hear about, and learn from your boondocking experiences. I made artificial limbs, braces, and orthopedic shoes. I made much of my equipment, so I guess I have some mechanical aptitude. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Northwest gulf coast of Florida is my favorite so far, but I hope to see the west coast and everything in between.

Tom was quick to communicate with us about parking. He called to make sure we knew where to go. His place is quiet and has lots of level ground. Our dog loved running around the large property and playing with the neighbors’ dogs. Tom stopped in, even though he wasn’t home. Tom is a friendly and kind host.

Tom was a good host with interesting stories. We parked near the lake, where we saw ducks and even a big nest of duck eggs. Great stay.

Tom is a great host and ensured all my stay were 100% including meeting me at the site and parking. Talking with Tom was a great experience, it’s what makes Boondocking such a wonderful experience.

We spent a few days with Tom and Wanda and had a great time. Beautful house on a lake. They are people of wide-ranging interests, experiences, and generosity and we had many an enjoyable conversation. They even invited us into their home to sit out a potential tornado. They couldn't have been nicer or more accomodating. Highly recommended.
