Lyndhurst - A quaint rural village, Lyndhurst is home to the oldest bridge in existence in Ontario. The village is located on the Rideau Heritage Route and is easily accessed from either Highway 15 or Country Road 42. It offers a small boat launch into Lyndhurst Creek which connects to Lower Beverley Lake. It also hosts the famous Lyndhurst Turkey Fair, held in mid-September each year. The fair features hay rides, a quilt show, silent auctions, a children's parade, antique & classic car show and much more.
we spent the day in the 1000 islands NP, and arrived at black rapid's place i little bit before him. unfortunately we just met half the couple, but that was an awesome experience. we ended up sitting outside and talking for hours till very late. the next day was superhot, so he took us to gananoque, to swim in the st. laurence and have an icecream. we are impressed about his knowledge and handyman-skills. it was great to meet you and share experiences and thoughts, thanks for the good time. your plans will do well.

This is the 1st time we boondocked. My wife was somewhat reluctant, but now she is a fan, it was a great experience. D and C are wonderful boondocking hosts. We are happy to have met new like minded boondocking friends.
