Boondocking available on our EXTRA long driveway. Max 30 feet. Update- we can no longer take tall 5th wheels due to cable lines getting snagged at the entrance to our drive. Smaller rigs can pull-thru. Push outs okay. We prefer you do not use your loud generator due to neighbors close by. You can use our electricity or your quiet generator. Your friendly pet is welcome.
Quiet after 8pm / before 8am.
Regular neighborhood access road. You will enter on narrow driveway. Please know how to "back-it-in".
Tow parking next to rig or on street. Sorry, no tall 5th wheels, low cable lines at driveway.
We are home most days. Send us a message to check availability.
Modesto is famous for being the birthplace of rockabilly music. You can find great food and live music to enjoy any night of the week downtown. Bicycle friendly area.
One hour to San Francisco Bay Area attractions. One hour to Yosemite and gold country mountain towns/wineries. 5 minutes from Highway 99. 20 minutes from Highway 5. Perfect stopover point on your way to/from San Diego, LA, SF, Oregon, Sierra Nevada, Burning Man or if you are making for either U.S. border running from the law.
We can provide you with a list of fun things to do while you enjoy Modesto.
Spend a nice quiet night. Friendly hosts. Appreciated their hospitality.
Such generous and cool hosts. We were lucky enough to arrive on the weekend when they had some free time, and gained a great weekend of stories, cooking, bicycling and much more. They even built a shower, toilet & dump especially for their boondocking guests! We couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so much for everything!
I really enjoyed meeting Hawk and Nannette. Their driveway is perfect for RVs.
We stayed with Hawk and Nannette for one night on our way back from Sequoia. They are a really kind and helpful couple. Really loved your schoolbus :) Happy building and travels with it and thanks a lot for everything!
Couldn't have found a nicer couple people than Hawk and Nannette to stay with on our maiden boondocking voyage. We really enjoyed hanging out with them and their friends, checking out their cool eclectic art, petting their pooches, and shooting the breeze.
Thank you both very much for being so gracious and for going way over and beyond to take care of us and keep our rig safe from those tree trimmers! lol
I stay one night in Hawk's and Nannnette's driveway. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting this very kind couple who helped me, along with some friends, back out of their driveway the next morning. I will always remember them as kind and understanding, especially vis-a-vis my limited RV skills. I heartily recommend them as hosts.
They have a great little spot there and are gracious welcoming hosts. I wish I could have hung out with them both more but with Hawk's recommendations for spots that I may like to photograph I was busy and away doing my thing. His tips were great and very fruitful for what I like to take photos of.
Would totally recommend them as a stop over spot and I hope to visit them again one day.
We were on our way to Yosemite, perfectly hospitable place for overnight thanks to hawk and nannette!
Hawk & Nannette were fabulous hosts. They graciously showed us around their town & even gave us an indispensable suggestion on where to go in the next city we were visiting & were able to connect us to their friends there where we also had an awesome time. Great people, wonderful cultural experience!
Thanks again for hosting us.
Many thanks to Hosts Hawk and Nannette for making it easy for us to stay with our 30ft fifth wheel in the side yard for a night early March 2015! It was very handy to stop overnight while we were making our long way home to northern California! They said we were their 10th, so clearly they've got a good track record. We contacted them before the start of our 7-week RV tour and they were willing and volunteered useful info, and were able to arrange our welcome just an hour in advance of our eventual arrival. Cool!
