The Riverhouse is situated on 300+ feet of the Spokane River directly across from Riverside State Park in the Nine Mile Falls area just 15 miles northwest of downtown Spokane, Washington. For larger rigs we can offer you a comfortable stay on a graveled parking lot overlooking the woods and the Spokane River. If you are car/truck camping with 4WD or tenting you are more than welcome to set up camp down by the river (keep in mind its a steep, gravel hill that you would need to climb to get out so 4WD is required if you don't want to pack it in). Feel free to roam the property where you can fish off our dock or swim in our swimming hole (conditions permitting) or just sit back and relax and watch the amazing sunsets over the water.
16' Gated entrance. Larger Rigs would need to back into lot with approach next to highway. (We are over 55' long with trailer and rig and and have no problem.) Some smaller setups may be allowed to park down by the river however there is a steep graveled hill that would require 4WD to climb back out.

If we are unavailable and you need overnight accommodations in the Spokane area we highly recommend Northern Quest Casino and Resort in Airway Heights. Free parking with security is available in one of their lot as well as their brand new RV Resort (not free) that is now open next door to the Casino.

We had a lovely stay here and very much enjoyed talking with our kind and generous hosts!
Convenient location for exploring the Spokane area. Close to Riverside SP for hiking and the Centennial Trail for great biking. Some noise from the nearby road that quiets down at night. Appreciate our hosts as well as their precious dogs' warm hospitality!
Our hosts went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Welcomed us at the gate and chatted for quite awhile. Wonderful people and their dogs are great, too! Oh, and the water.....so awesome.
Thanks for your hospitality!
Our hosts have a river outside their backyard that they enjoy sharing. Although a big rig parking spot would be up near their home and the main road, we were able to park the truck camper down on the waters edge. Our hosts were gracious and informative about the area. Their dog greeted us and Mr. Cooper like old friends. A delightful place and we’re grateful for the quiet, safe place to spend a couple nights.
Our generous hosts provided us an ample spot on their property with a view of the Spokane River in their backyard. There is so much to do in the area,... we went to an OHV park to ride our RZR, kayaked down the Little Spokane River, and did a backroads daytrip to Idaho. Great place to stay.
These intelligent, knowledgeable and friendly Patriot Nomads were very kind and courageous to share their extraordinary Sanctuary with this fellow Traveler during the Strange Days which afflict us today. If the Master of the Manor offers to show you how to tie a "Dry Fly" on properly, you will be in for a treat indeed!;~) In all events, quality ear plugs will enhance your time beside the busy Hwy off which this spectacular River Haus is nestled. Health Friends!
The Riverhouse was a perfect place to stop for a moment and enjoy the nature around you. Our dogs loved running around the property and going swimming in the river! There is a State Park across the river, a short drive away, lots of hiking/biking possibilities They were very welcoming on our arrival and helpful with anything we needed. We are incredibly grateful for their hospitality!
We stayed for three nights. Friendly hosts and great back country property (on a river!) on north side of Spokane about 15 minutes from the heart of the city. Very organized, they gave us a PDF with a map and some suggestions on how to approach and how to text them shortly before we arrived so they could meet us at the entrance gate. Our 37' Class A had no trouble backing in from the highway and getting level in the gravel spot, also plenty of room for tow car next to it. We left a small donation for plugging into power and some water. Their apple tree was in season and they encouraged us to take what we wanted. There is a little road noise during the day, but it totally dies down at night and did not bother us one bit. We were also <10 minutes from Green Bluff growers where there was wine/mead/beer/cider tasting, pumpkin patches, and u-pick orchards. It was fun to nerd out on our motorhome setups. We would definitely stay again if passing through Spokane!
Stacey & Gary were great hosts. Good directions on how to find their place and where to park. They were on hand to greet us (along with their resident host, Scott). RV parking was easy to back into behind a large swing gate (take their recommendation and come from the north as your approach). They graciously provided us with an electrical hookup, and invited us to join them around the campfire one evening. Wonderful place to stay, with the only downside being the road noise which, for the most part, quiets down at night.
It was a pleasure meeting the Riverhouse folks and the parking spot was very nice. I look forward to meeting them on the road to Alaska.
Oh my gosh! What a beautiful spot and stay. Unfortunately the owners were out travelling and we did not meet :(.
But, the host family caring for the location is beyond awesome! They are, delightful, gracious, engaging, accommodating and just darn nice folks. We totally enjoyed their kids,
And to top it off the grounds are comfortable and beautiful.
We shared many experiences and foundi the whole experience second to none! Thank you so much for the privilege of sharing your beautiful Riverhouse. We were AMAZED ♡♡♡♡♡
Some fun hikes and city touring. Our kids loved playing around the house.
Be sure to approach from the north (i.e. pass the house then turn around if coming from US 90), so that you can back into gate. The blind turn makes it harder to back out a big rig.
The gravel parking spot was close to the road with trucks passing all night, so be aware road noise is loud.
Such a beautiful, peaceful location...very relaxing and great to have power too. We missed meeting you, Gary and Stacey, but we really appreciate you agreeing to host us. Your property-sitters, Melissa and Scott, were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed chatting with them. My favorite memory from your place was sitting outside overlooking the river and watching Scott take Ellie and Briggs round and round on the ATV. Each time, they would pass us, little Ellie and Briggs would be smiling and waving...what delightful kids! Hope your trip is as amazing as it sounds!
Both Stacey and Gary were terrific hosts! Their property is nothing short of fantastic. Scenic, secluded waterfront property with a giant lawn overlooking the river and a picturesque pedestrian bridge in the background. It's absolutely stunning back there. The hosts offered an electric hook up and didn't mind us running our generator when we declined (we try to be self reliant as much as possible). Our stay was so enjoyable and welcoming that it was honestly hard to leave. If you're in the area, this is an absolute must stay. Thank you GARY and STACEY! SO MUCH LOVE from the RollWithItBus family! OH, and check out their youtube channel, it's full of RV living knowledge from two pros..
We were only able to spend one night here but the hosts are amazing. In addition to their great .pdf map and directions (which means you can look at it even when there is no internet signal), they helped us back in -- pointed out a good spot with a view of the river. It was HOT the evening we were there so we were *really* grateful for their 50 amp outlet in front of their shop. (Our fifth wheel is 30 amp but we have an adapter -- so no problem.) They told us to feel free to walk the property along the river, so we did -- and got some great reflection shots of a bridge across the river from their house. After our long and HOT drive heading east from Lake Chelan, this place was just the ticket. Thanks to these great Boondockers Welcome hosts for their great hospitality and sharing their property with the rest of us.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at The Riverhouse for two nights and it was just perfect. I'm so thankful for the hospitality and generosity that they showed us. Their home is just beautiful and it was this amazing healing oasis. I hope that we run across each other on the road!! xx
