Flat driveway inside a fence for small RV's less than 26 ft, it used to be shady but the neighbor cut the beautiful maple tree down. It is far too hot on sunny 80+F days since my wiring can NOT accommodate air conditioning. Sorry.
NO pull behinds or class A's . Available parking is too limited. Sorry
The neighbors don't like RV parking on the street.
5 miles from downtown Cincinnati and the Bengal and Cincinnati Reds Stadiums. Bus service, every 30-min., at the end of the street, in a nice neighborhood with sidewalks.
Gas station, hardware store, YMCA, close and convenient. Casual chain restaurants (Apple-bees, Cracker Barrel, Chipotle etc., within 2-miles)
Keep the gates closed at all times.
Treat my property as you would want others to treat yours.
Clean up after your pets
Keep your pets in your rig after they exercise. My pet schnauzer, will be out otherwise and they don't always play well with other dogs.
Quiet after 10 p.m.
No audible music or quarrels; I have close neighbors, however it is private but not sound proof.
This is a nice place to relax and enjoy nature but NOT in the sweltering heat. I only have 15 amp electricity so no air conditioners and no generators. Sorry.
Dead end street off of Hwy 27, Alexandria Pike, which is at the end of Hwy 471 (only 5-miles long from the Ohio River to Highland Heights, Ky)
The premium location is at the bottom of my driveway which requires backing in or out. A shade tree has been cut and it is NO longer shady and cool. Not a comfortable site if hotter than 80F during the day since my wiring can NOT accommodate RV air conditioning.
RV's longer than 30-ft with a tow vehicle can not fit. The street has a sharp turn with vehicles parked on the street. The curve in the street, and tight/short cul-de-sac at the end of the street makes a Rig with the total length of 30-ft a problem especially for neighbors parked on the street and cul-de-sac.
Tow vehicle needs to be dropped and parked on the street. It's a dead end street with little traffic. Level parking is in the front of the house, but not private since it's on the street.
Quiet, private parking at the end of the driveway. Gated, level for 25-ft., w/ water and electricity. There is a man hole for dumping sewage if you're strong enough to remove the lid. It is extremely heavy; I can't move it.
Formerly my location had a cool shady spot, but the neighbor removed a beautiful maple tree. It is NOW too hot in weather over 80F, which is June until October. There may be cool weather occasionally during that time, so visits are weather/temperature sensitive. The past 4-years the temperatures have been warmer both day and night.
I am home most of the time. Even during the summer please contact 2-weeks in advance to confirm availability.
NO surprises please.
Temperature can be an issue, over 80F it is not comfortable.
I travel as much as possible, but enjoy helping others by providing a quiet, safe place to relax.
Professional athletic games, summer, winter and fall. Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals stadiums are 5-miles away. Downtown Cincinnati offers multiple museums, restaurants from quaint hot dog carts to 4-star restaurants, Segway tours, parks, nationally recognized conservatory, and Zoo. Night clubs and special events along with the 2nd largest October Fest in the World (Munich, Germany is #1)
We had a nice visit at Rachel's home.
Unfortunately it was a short stay; that Rachel was kind to allow us to park our Class B just for the day while we caught a ball game (talking ride share to and from).
When we returned; as we departed, we told Rachel 'see ya next year'.
G & D
Rachel was such a gracious host. She is so much fun. And full of information on the area. Just a real joy to be around. She really, really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed.
And Fort Thomas is a really cool place to discover! I hope to return someday for another visit.
Rachel was very welcoming, hospitable, giving, & travel-savvy. She gave us some wonderful produce from her garden & chatted for well over an hour. We just stayed one night and didn't need hookups. Our 4x4 Sprinter just fit inside her gate where we slept so well. Hope our paths cross again!
Can't say enough about this location, and our kind host. She made sure we were comfortable, and even gave us a tour of Cincinnati! We enjoyed getting to know her, and the history of the area. We had a great time exploring Cincinnati, and this was a great home base. Highly recommend this host site!
Our family was welcomed by Rachel! She did everything possible to make us feel welcome and was very accommodating! We were able to park the RV under the shade trees which made a huge difference in keeping our RV cooler. It was a quiet neighborhood and we had no problem sleeping! Our stay at Rachel's gave us easy access to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter on two separate days! It was great getting to know Rachel on a personal level. We were able to share RV stories and teaching stories. We are so grateful for this new connection and hope to meet again.
Rachel is a great host. Super sweet and accommodating. Would totally recommend her place. Thank you so much.
Stayed at Rachel's place on my way to Florida...very good host...nice quiet spot.
Milo loved roaming in your fenced in yard...stop in if your coming to Toronto...
