A Class B van, a medium to small Class C with good clearance, or pickup with a camper in the bed will fit in the driveway.
This is a small city property, so only vehicles 25 feet and under will fit.
Two guests have had issues with scraping the bottom of their rig as they tried to get into the driveway. Most have had no problem.
This is a city property, please be considerate of the neighbors (no generators, loud music, barking dogs, etc.). Think of it as a step up from stealth camping.
I also suggest that, because of the city surroundings, you secure your belongings.

My host was so welcoming to me and my pups.
Got a great night's sleep. Neighborhood is close to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend!
It was a pleasure to meet Thornyrose and talk about van life. She gave good advice on what to see in Albuquerque. And her driveway provided a safe and peaceful night.
Thornyrose is a delightful host, concerned for the comfort of the guest. The conversation was wonderful, suggesting places to visit for those unfamiliar with Albuguerque. As a bonus, a few tips for improved health were suggested.
We stayed in Thornyrose's driveway for two nights and it made simple logistics to take short uber to the park-n-ride lot at Coronado .
We were so impressed that she gave her parking spot to complete strangers! What a heart.
We weren't ever able to connect with our host in person as we came in late, but thornyrose was very kind to us! She gave us a great spot in the driveway moving her own vehicle, and was very understanding of our late arrival. Wish we could have given our thanks in person!
Had a pleasant stay here at thornyrrose's despite having difficulty getting our rig into her driveway due to the slope and our low hitch, we ended up parked on the street and had no issues. Levelling blocks advisable if your rig isn't self levelling. There is a bit of road noise which quieted down as the night went on. Walking distance to a grocery store. Convenient to freeway as well.
Thornyrose was very nice and welcoming. We ended up not being able to park in the driveway. Our rig sits pretty low and has a bar protecting the tank drain. The drain started to drag on the driveway as there was a slight incline from the street. She was kind enough to move her van so we could just stay on the street. Aside from the one small issue, it was a good night
Right off a main road. Very convenient spot. Thank you.
Very friendly host, but the position of the site (very close to a busy road) does not support a good sleep at night. Rena gave us good advise for visiting part of Albuquerque. Understand that she cannot eliminate the heavy traffic noises. Alternatively we can’t understand one of the other references reporting: quiet neighborhood.
It was such a pleasure to be hosted by Thornyrrose. Not only was she very nice & easy to talk to, but when my transmission died she helped me in every way that she could, most importantly letting me stay in her driveway for not the scheduled one, but EIGHT nights in a row. Knowing that I had a place to park & stay while waiting for my van to get fixed was such a blessing.
The location is within walking distance of a grocery store, two parks, & a great brewery. Very easy drive to downtown (when your transmission works).
Highly recommend!!
We spent one night in the driveway and had a good sleep in the middle of Alburquerque. Didn’t get the chance to meet up with thornyrrose but it was ok since we came late and left early. Thanks again for your spot :-)
The Thornyrose is a perfect place to stay inside the city of Albuquerque. Close to everything, pretty quiet, especially for the city, safe, and the host is extremely kind and very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend and am very thankful for the blessing.
Thornyrrose is a very pleasant host and the driveway parking spot is flat. The urban location has many amenities nearby.
This a terrific site set in Albuquerque, convenient for some site seeing. Our host is a very nice person who gave us a ton of ideas for our visit in the region. Our 25 ft motor home fit perfectly in the driveway.
Please be aware that this is an urban location so some background noise will be present during the night. However this did not bother us at all.
Overall a nice comfortable stay. Thank you for the hospitality and great communication.
I stayed with Thornyrose for a single night in March. She responded quickly and positively. Her situation was exactly as described. She greeted me upon arrival, offering me either the driveway or the street, and even invited me to a public event happening nearby. Because I'm used to living in rural areas, and her home is very near a major artery in Albuquerque, I decided to stay just a single night. Other than typical city noise which was bothersome to me, it was a very positive experience. Thank you, Thornyrose ~
We stayed with Thornyrrose in March 2017 and she made our boondocking so wonderful. She was informative, kind, thoughtful, and flexible. She has also hosted numerous times and that expertise was very helpful in figuring out the best parking and visit arrangements. We highly recommend her as a host. Thanks, Thornyrrose!!
We stayed here a month ago, Oct. 2016, during the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, and found it very comfortable and convenient for all things. It was an easy drive to the Sandia Peak Tramway (we didn't take the tram - way too crowded - but we did hike on the trails), very quick and easy drive to the shopping center for the Balloon Fiesta shuttle, and a fairly easy drive to Old Town. Thornyrrose very kindly parked on the street so we could park in her driveway for a couple of nights. Unfortunately, between her work schedule and our up and out early for the Fiesta activities, and home late after more Fiesta activities, we met and spoke with her only briefly as she went to work one mornings. But through our email correspondence, she was very helpful and friendly.
Stayed with Thornyrrose during the Albuquerque Ballon Festival. She was very knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat in her area. We had plenty of room for our 23ft camper van in her driveway. We really enjoyed talking with her about traveling.
We had a lovely time staying at Thorny Roses place. She was as nice as could be and we couldn't have asked for a better host.
Had an awesome stop at thoryrose's in Albuquerque. Great host. Very fast in communication. Extremely friendly. Would love to stop by again.
The response time was exceptional, the host is exceptional, the location is exceptional what more cam I say except I had an exceptional time.
Thank you.
We enjoyed the close to everything location whole staying with Thornyrose in ABQ. We got some great tips on places to camp nearby from our gracious host as well. Thanks, see you again!
We had so much fun getting to know Thornyrrose, who made us feel immediately welcome and, at the same time, free to do our own thing and come and go as we pleased. The location is central, with easy access to lots of shopping as well as the Interstates Highways. Than you for the outstanding hospitality and two peaceful nights!
Quiet neighborhood. Easy to locate and very easy to get to the Balloon Fiesta from here. An actual neighborhood where I could take my dogs for a walk in the morning. Nice host too.
