Parking space on a hard surface driveway. Slideouts or awning will need to extend over the yard and not the driveway to not interfere with access. 15 amp electric from the garage will require extension cord but I have a cord if needed. This 15 amp electric is not able to handle an air conditioner so please consider that if you plan to come in the hot, humid summertime. Water also available from outside faucet. We like pets but they must be vaccinated and leashed per local regulations.
Please no smoking on property.
Please no open alcohol outside your vehicle.
This is a very quiet private neighborhood so please keep the noise to a minimum. Also, our neighbors go to sleep early so please especially keep noise down after 8:30 PM or so.
Access roads are good. The final 500 feet to our house is via a one-lane road but it is easy to navigate. There is enough room to turn around.
Elsewhere on the property in the driveway
Generally we have good availability throughout the year, depending on our travels. We do some last minute trips in the spring, summer, and fall, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you. Send us a message to see if we have a spot available to fit your timeline.
Hampton Roads has lots of history: Yorktown, Fort Monroe, and much more. Nice Air and Space museum in downtown Hampton. Langley Air Force Base closeby so you hear the sound of freedom from the daily F-22 flights. Occasionally an F-22 does a practice airshow routine that you can partly see from the house.
Great hosts on a dead end street, no traffic. Nice base to explore the area. Offered 110 power and water. We would stay again
Pete was quick to respond and easy to communicate with, as well as nice to talk to. I hade a very positive experience and their place is quiet and peaceful. I would recommend.
Had a nice quiet night. Pete is very accommodating and Pleasant to talk with. Would recommend his place.
After recommending the perfect local spot for a low-key seafood dinner, Pete met us in the driveway of his home and made sure we were all set for the night. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with big, beautiful trees. We had a peaceful night’s sleep and left early the next morning. Thanks, Pete! Come see us in Maine!
Pete was very accommodating. We had a very good stay in a quite neighborhood. We highly recommended.
Nice location. Hosts were very kind and pleasant. As a newbie the host reminded me to bring in my awning when the wind picked up. I would definitely stay At thei home again.
Pete & Letty- were fabulous hosts. Very helpful, safe and kind. They checked us in after dark and gave us a warm welcome. Would love to see them come out to Oregon someday.Best- Kevin & Julie
This was our first stop after being on Cape Hatteras for a week. We were in Hampton for the 400th Commemoration of the first African landing at Old Point Comfort, Virginia in 1619. This spot was very convenient for us and our host could note have been more gracious and generous. Flat driveway and a cool evening made for a great stay.
Pete helped us hook up water and 15 amp electric. Super quiet secluded spot with no noise. Very nice people. Stayed here while we were seeing Williamsburg.
I needed an overnight place to park and PeteRT came to the rescue. I cannot overstate the kindness and hospitality this couple pours out. The peaceful area provided me a restful night's sleep so I could be refreshed for a long drive the next day. Thank you PeteRT and Mrs RT!
PeteRT and his lovely wife are incredibly welcoming and helpful. Pete showed me and my 16 year old son some things I needed to know about my RV and even checked the tire pressure before we left. That kind of concern and caring is remarkable. We all chatted about Aerospace which is a subject we have in common. These hosts are friendly, helpful, fun and all around good people. The parking area is level and PeteRT provided an electrical hookup which was very welcome since it was 90 degrees and very humid. The property is beautiful and quiet; in the city but seeming to be rural.
If one is traveling this area, PeteRv is a perfect place to rest for a night or two. I will never forget this couple and their hospitality and kindness.
I had a wonderful stay at PeteRT's location. I'm quite new to the RV world and PeteRT helped me out with fixing a few things in my van and giving me some tips for future maintenance. Overall I had a wonderful and relaxed stay.
Pete and his wife were so welcoming and eager to make our first BW experience a good one. They definitely succeeded! Pete was an excellent communicator and super flexible. We were in town with lots of family attending my sons graduation and kept having to change our arrival time. He was so accommodating. Thank you guys!!
We didn’t actually make it to Pete’s due to severe rain and thunderstorms. We ended up spending the night in a Walmart only half an hour or so from Pete’s. We kept in contact with Pete but after several hours of driving in torrential downpours and flooded roads we had no choice but to find somewhere to park. Pete was gracious enough to let us know that our safety was his first concern and that we could arrive at his place if the weather broke no mater how late it got. I hope we get to meet Pete on another trip! Thanks Pete for being so understanding.
Would highly recommend staying with PeteRT. Accepted our stay on a very short notice and we are so glad to have not missed the opportunity to meet this wonderful couple. Lovely setting, didn't even have to disconnect. We were able to sit and talk about all kinds of subjects, confirmed our interest into ways to help others in need as we travel. Would love to have stayed longer and explore the area. Definitely hope to meet up with them again.
Pete could not do enough for us, even fixing a broken RV door handle. Highly recommended.
Really nice friendly couple. We had a long chat about rving and travel. Together we resolved a couple of issues for my van. Altogether a pleasant experience.
Stayed with our amazing hosts for 2 nights. We enjoyed sharing camper modification ideas. They gave us great info on things to see/do in Hampton, Va. Hope to see them again as we have an interest in disaster relief and they are seasoned volunteers. They are welcome to stay with us anytime.
Thank you! I wish you many blessings and a happy Easter! Great stay very accommodating very safe area and very quiet area except for the Cowboys occasionally from Langley dipping their wings in flybys! Which is normal for the Norfolk Hampton Virginia area. Lots to see and do here it's my favorite spot in Virginia! A wonderful stay and rest for a weary traveler who still has a thousand miles to go! Kind regards Paula
Thank you very much for your welcoming.
You made us very confortable and submit all facilities
Thank you a lot and we very hope to see you again.
The french team ;)
It was great staying with Pete and his wife. He responded quickly to my request and let me boondock even with short notice.
I had good internet access and 15 amp power.
If I am in this area again I look forward to spending time with them.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this hospitable couple! They went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable and felt at home. We shared a lovely meal and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. They were so great with our kids and were ever so helpful planning our journeys and giving us local information. Our only regret was not being able to spend more time with them.
Stayed one night with Pete & Letty, nice area and a level paved parking spot. Enjoyed meeting our hosts and the tea and coffee cake was good. Would gladly stay again and hope we can reciprocate on a trip to our area.
