We live on Georgian Bay north of Wiarton. About an hour from the Tobermory ferry to Manitoulin Island. We are on a paved road. Water access across the road where you can swim or fish if you care to (usually into July before it is warm enough to swim) There is a government dock across the road and a small sand beach. We have a gravel lane that you can back into (or drive into and back out). We have neighbours close by so we are not secluded.
No, we just respect our quiet neighbourhood.
Paved road. You can back in or some folk drive in and then there is room to back the tow vehicle out
Next to the rig.
We are available most of the time but please drop us an email to check if we have a spot to suit your timeline.

John kept us up to date re hydro problems, gave me another extension cord, lovely property on Colpoys Bay.
We had a good visit with our host last evening. Had a lot in common, so easy to talk to, so we spent the whole evening in their home. We exchanged stories had a few laughs, and retired to a restful evening beside the Bay. Gordon &Anne
Ann is super nice and the place is so beautiful and in a beautiful location. So highly recommended!!!!!
Thank you Ann
Excellent location, close to wiarton ,government dock. Evening wine morning coffee
Thank you for welcoming us into your house. You are extremely kind people and we thank you for letting us stay at your property .
A very quiet clean place to stay.
The hosts weren’t home but they had a power cord ready for us.
Very accommodating. Easy access. Very clean.
Any questions were promptly replied to.
Such a lovely spot with a beautiful view and gracious hosts. We were able to meet Ann and really enjoyed her but were sorry to miss meeting John. Their instructions were spot on even down to where the electrical chord was and we felt very welcomed. Also got lots of information about the area and what to see which really helped . This was our first Boondockers Welcome stay and what a great way to start!
Spent one night here. Such a lovely spot overlooking the bay. Our hosts were so gracious and eager to offer whatever we might need. Good location for us to continue on to Tobermory.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with Us for the weekend
and thank you John for coming home from your camping to make sure we
got set up. Even with the wicked rain that didn't clear up until Saturday afternoon
we had a great time and on Sunday morning we were able to take a long walk beside the
John and Donna
We really enjoyed our stay at this boondocking spot however we did not get to meet the owners face to face. We did however chat lots and were made to feel completely at home. The town and surroundings are beautiful as are the people in the area. We look forward to a return trip.
Beautiful view and quite area. Unfortunately the hosts were away so we weren’t able to meet them.
Thanks to the host who welcomed us on this rainy evening. This is certainly a beautiful spot and the host was very welcoming. Hopefully next time we are in the area the weather will be more cooperative. Thanks so much.
This was an early in the season visit and our host was most accommodating in helping level our RV an generally get settled. Weather restricted our visit but these hosts were very cordial on this our second visit.
It was easy to connect with our hosts. They were very enthusiastic and ready to help. They offered everything that facilitated our life. Quiet neighbourhood, very nice view of the Bay.
Thanks again for being so nice to us.
We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Thank you for your very generous use of electricity. Your location was conveniently close to Wiatron and also offered a nice view of the water front.
Our stay was short but fantastic. Our hosts were very accomodating. They have a beautiful location. Thank you for sharing you place with us for the night. It was a great place to stay before going on to the Bruce Peninsula.
Thank you John and Ann for making us so welcome. It was a wonderful place to experience our first time Boondocking.
We had a chance to meet Stonemasons on our arrival. What a friendly refreshing couple. Their spot is a absolutely must to experience as you will be looking at the Colpoys Bay every day. We had the chance to do lots of kayaking and hit the biking trails and enjoyed our drinks by the water. What a way to finish our days. Thank you Stonemasons for a peaceful week. We will be back for sure.
We found this little gem and we were received by the host John (awesome fellow) who managed to help us parking our trailer. Unfortunately we couldn't meet Ann. We are very grateful and you have a wonderful land and house by the river. We appreciated the stay very close to Tobermory and the city of Wiarton. We will be very welcome whenever you pass by the Montreal area.
Could not have asked for a nicer location or a more peaceful sleep. Although our visit was brief, we really enjoyed meeting you and can't thank you enough!
We missed our hosts, they were away but everything was ready for us to stay overnight. It is a beautiful spot overlooking the bay and there is beach access across the road. Real easy to park. Thanks so much for letting us stay.
Allen and MaryLynn
Great location across a lake.
Very beautiful view in the morning.
Easy communication with host.
Did not meet Stonemason, but their kids were very nice and welcoming. Talked to some neighbors on dog walks and Boondockers Welcome guests have created quite a positive impression on them.
Hope we can meet them as guests in the future.
What a great location in a great part of Ontario. The hosts were away but John made a special trip to see us and make sure we were comfortable. Amazing place to paddle and lovely walks with beautiful cottages and homes and wildflowers all along the lanes. Great place to watch birds and fish. Also close to the town of Wiarton. We hope to return again soon.
We Thank so much the host even though we couldnt meet them. We had a lot of fun. Our dog enjoyed so much. We appreciate their kindness. This place is wonderful and beautiful. We did some kayaking in the beautiful Huron Lake.
A wonderful location with a view of Colpoy Bay.
A great place for me to overnight while hiking the bruce trail from end to end .
I plan on staying here a few more weekends while hiking this section ... assuming it is available ... and not snapped up by all you other boondockers
John and Ann are warm and interested hosts
John helped us newbies feel suppported in RVing
Ann made a point to come to chat
What a great spot. Stayed at the stonemasons property on our way to Cypress Lake. Sorry we didn't actually meet but the accommodation was over the top. Thanks to you we had relaxed in the chairs overlooking the water and then unwound around the campfire. Thanks again for your hospitality and if you are ever in the Huntsville area please give us the opportunity to do the same. Thanks again. Solera
After too many unnecessary hesitations about this new (to me) boondocking experience, I was lucky to have Stonemasons Rock as my first hosts. Joyful people. Great short but fruitful conversations with both made my first trip to Bruce Peninsula a real pleasure. I will be going back and try to stay at their place, no doubt.
The driveway is in perfect shape and I had plenty of space to park my car. From their house, the view of the bay is splendid and there's even a beach near by so you can go for a swim!
Thank you. You rock!
Great stay. It was our first time using Boondockers Welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much, our hosts were great and alot of fun to talk with. Hope to see you guys again. Thanks. How we Roll
We have spent a few days parked at the Stonemasons place, and we can't say enough about how great it has been. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting this couple, brief as the meetings were, and are looking forward to our next visit.
Stonemasons certainly do rock!
We stayed at stonemasons rock's place for two nights, and it was great. they allowed us to have a campfire in their yard, even when they were away, and we enjoyed the quiet setting on the lake.
thanks for accomodating us.
Beautiful place to stay with a nice view on Georgia Bay.
We can highly recommend this place.
Unfortunately we didn't got the chance to meet this couple. But they provided us the full hock up and let us rest without being at home.
Thank you very much!
With a elevated view overlooking Georgian Bay this was a prize location to spend an evening. The hosting couple were more than accommodating on arrival with offers of what we might need . In the morning over coffee and conversation
they shared camping and local interest stories so we found it difficult to leave to honour a Chi Chemaun ferry commitment . Definitely hope to return.
I recommend this place, i thought stay one night but when a met Stonemasons Rock, and i saw the perfect place front lake, i décided to stay a second night...
Host are really lovelly. Maybe i Will come another time.
Thank's so much
I don't want to make this recommendation because I want to keep the hosts and the place to myself but it is a beautiful place to stay and the hosts are amazing! I can't have asked for better hosts or a prettier spot - please stay away so we can keep it for ourselves when we are here! ;)
Pulled and parked trailer where indicated with no issues. John's stone mason eyes had us leveled on first try. Very friendly and could have talked longer but dusk brings the mosquitos. Great stopover if headed fir Bruce National Park or tobermory ferry.
My wife Angie & I stayed one night at John and Ann's property on our way to the Tobermory ferry to Manitoulin Island. They were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome and even moved their vehicles so that we could have a better spot. Beautiful location too!
You couldn't find a better place to spend a couple of nights. John and Ann are great hosts and they have a terrific place for parking.
Our hosts, John & Anne were very congenial and accommodating - moving their vehicles in order to make it easier for us to get level and also exit their property. The facilites were perfect and the setting very nice. This is a very convenient stop if you are traveling up the Bruce Penninsula to get the ferry at Tobermory.
