I am only 2 miles from Interstate 90 located on a blacktop (hard surface road).
If you have questions please send me an email.
Parking location is easy to get to. Well water (my drinking water) and 30 amp electricity is available. Usually my WiFi reaches the parking spot.
Parking is quite level, parking could be on gravel drive or grass, depending if I will need to be driving in or out of my shed. Real quiet area.
Main trait I'm looking for is - Be Friendly! and of course don't leave a mess.
Need to be careful. The township does NOT do a good job of making it convenient to drive tall vehicles without rubbing tree branches. Some places you will need to drive a little ways from the side of the road to miss a couple of overhanging trees. Typical Wisconsin county road. I have no problems with my 40 foot motorhome and 25' trailer, just drive slow and everything is OK.
Plenty of space to park tow vehicles and or trailer, and its right next to your whether pull type or motorized RV.
My place is usually available between mid April through December.
I receive emails on my phone so feel free to send me an email if you are interested in stopping by. I try to respond quickly, if I hear the phone beep, as I know personally how frustrating it is when someone either doesn't answer you or takes a day or so. I also understand about not being able to plan out a few days in advance, so last minute decisions are welcome. Da....the joys of an RV, being independent, right!
Also, if you are in need of stopping by during some of my blocked dates....and if you have stayed with me before. Feel free to send me a request, I'd probably let you stay whether I'm going to be home or not.
I look forward to meeting you.
If you are traveling with pets, I'm sorry but no matter how small, they are not welcome. I don't have any pets myself. I added this sentence because some people are not paying attention to the icons above.
The famous Elroy - Sparta bicycle trail is about 15 miles away.
Nationally known tractor pull is also held every June, only about a 5 mile drive.
Annual Warrens Cranberry Festival (Cranfest) is the last weekend of September every year (just a few miles north of Tomah).
Gorgeous 7acres. Wonderful hosts. Very friendly, helped us park. Had a short chat. Had 30 amp, water, and WiFi. Most generous and friendly. Had a really nice conversation before we left on Sunday. Bought some Wisconsin cheese, 😋. Will definitely stay here with our new friend when our adventures bring us to Wisconsin in the future.
An affable host plus a lovely setting with great views make this a perfect spot for a night or longer.
We stopped here for one night on our way out West and we wished we had more time to stay! Our host was very helpful, very nice and we had a great chat around the fire. It was a beautiful location, easy to find and very quiet. This was our kids' favorite location to stay in our whole 3 weeks of travel! Thanks again!!
I've only been on the road for five days, and arrived at Samson Acres tired, at dusk, after a long day of navigating construction on the way from Chicago. My host was so friendly and welcoming, and when I was daunted at having to back and reposition my RV, offered to do it for me, which I gratefully accepted. He clearly delights in meeting the people who pull into his drive and hearing their stories. I highly recommend him as a host!
We felt well cared for on Samson Acres . Our host waited for us even though we were delayed by traffic, was quick to reply to messages and generous in providing hydro and water. We were invited to join him at his campfire, and conversation was pleasant and comfortable.
This was a wonderful first boondocking experience for our family.
My wife and I stopped here on our way through Wisconsin and I have to say it turned out to be an unexpected gem along our road trip. We stayed several nights on the property and made our way to local cheese joints, visited the Amish, and met with other friends who took us to Devil's Lake, which are all very close to the property.
The host here was great. He was exactly "our type of guy". Not intrusive but sociable. He took the time to get to know us and we him and now we have a real friend! We still keep in touch via email because we had a lot in common and shared a really great night around his fire pit cooking and chatting.
The property was clean, level, had water and wifi. The views were great and no real traffic. The area had some nice hiking and my wife enjoyed jogging and cycling along the road. The "neighbors" are also great. We met a farmer who invited us to come see a new born calf if we wanted.
All in all, this is the best stop we've found on boondockers welcome. If you're in his neighborhood, I suggest you give Samson Acres a shout out. Instead of a "stop", it was a great experience. Thanks again for the great times!
We stayed with 'Samson Acres' for one night, but wish our schedule allowed for us to have stayed longer. 'Samson Acres' was incredibly welcoming and friendly. From our first email correspondece ... to receiving an email with directions, an invitation to enjoy a bonfire in their backyard ... the experience couldn't have been better. We really enjoyed our time, especially sitting with them, eating smores and getting to know them.
As an added perk ... The parking site was amazingly beautiful. This is an understatement ... the view from our rig was just stunning while parked at their home.
Thank you for a wonderful stay ... we'd love to come back sometime in the future!!
We had a delightful afternoon visiting with our host and daughter. The facilities were perfect for us. This is a beautiful, peaceful location with wonderful views - our only disappointment was not seeing any deer while there.
The parking site was level and easy to back into. Our host was most helpful making sure we were comfortable.
Our main reason for visiting the area was to bicycle on the Elroy Sparta Trail which was close by.
Another wonderful stay with Boondockers Welcome.
