Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe have an acreage aproximately 13km northeast of Rocky Mountain House AB. There is plenty of room for 4 or more RV's of all sizes. It is mostly grass in our back yard which has a gentle slope to it. The driveway through the yard has a gravel base so is fairly flat and firm in wet weather. There is not really a pull through but there is lots of room to turn around. We can supply some electricity but depending on where you park, longer extension cords may be required. We also have well water available, but we recommend you fill up with town water which has been chlorinated. There is also a fire pit in the yard that you are welcome to use.
Paved highways to graveled driveway. Trees along the driveway but we keep them trimmed back. Trees in back yard but you can maneuver around them. No sites per say but lots of grassed area to use.
Grass area in back yard. As it is grass, there may be issues if we experience an extremely wet season.
Our local camping season usually starts around mid May and ends in October. We like to get out on some weekends throughout the summer and are usually around through the week.
There is a 9 hole golf course within 1/2 mile. The Rocky Mountains are 1 hour to the west, and an entrance to Banff/Jasper National Park system about a half hour past that. There are lots of outdoor adventures to the west of Rocky Mountain House, hiking, fishing, canoeing, ATV trails and open camping areas (boondocking) to name a few. A National Historic Site is minutes from town, a rodeo in june and chuckwagon races in August.
Had a nice visit with Joedog. Power, wifi and a good nights rest. What more do you need. Great place to stop
Thanks
Thanks Joedog, for coming out in the rain to welcome and and to show us where to park. It was an excellent spot and the location was peaceful and quiet. Hope we can come back when it's dry and sit at that great looking campfire!! P.S. Did your new kitchen counter arrive safely??
We had a wonderful evening, interesting talk on the campfire.
We have learned a lot about Canadian history
We also keep good memories on the delicious cocktail by arrival
Thanks again for the pleasant stay.

Very accommodating, relaxed exchanges, super bare foot grass walking & fun doggie entertainment.
Nice spot in the country for quiet nights sleep. Stayed 1 night, had another place to be the next day. Wished we could have stayed longer. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.
These hosts were very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. We learned so much from them about the current situation in Alberta. They recommended that we see Lacombe and we spent a delightful day there. These hosts have led very interesting lives and we were delighted to have them share some of their experiences with us.
We enjoyed a beautiful location, quiet stay and nice company around the fire pit with "Joe the Dog"--oh yea, and Darcy and Sherri :-) This was our first stay through Boondockers Welcome and they made us feel very welcome. Thanks!
joedog has such a great spot we had to come back! This time we were treated to great photos of their recent trip and some good stories too!
Sorry we missed you S. All being well...2015?
joedog provided a lovely, level and grassy site for our one night stay. We really enjoyed meeting this friendly, fun couple and swapping travel stories. Would definitely stay here again.
