Welcome to Fruitland, Idaho. We are located right on the Oregon / Idaho border, just off of I84. We are about 50 miles west of Boise, Idaho. Idaho and Eastern Oregon offer miles and miles of beautiful country, from high desert to high mountains and western forest. If you are visiting the area, or just passing through, maybe we could help you with your travel plans.
We live on 5 acres on the outskirts of town. Surrounded by agriculture fields but homes and subdivisions within sight. Ontario, Oregon is just across Snake River from Fruitland. Ontario offers a Walmart and most all the services you might need.
We would appreciate common courtesy. So far everyone who has Boondocked with us have been wonderful!!
We have a couple different options for parking your RV. They require some tight turns and might require some backing to get turned around. We live down a private gravel lane on the outskirts of town. I am able to maneuver my 36 foot 5th wheel around on our property. Electricity is 15 amp only with extension cord. If you check out our pictures you will see our driveway. The big turn around is about 100 feet by 75 feet so access is not bad, but turning a big 5th wheel around does take some maneuvering. Road into our place is maintained gravel.
All parking will be off the road on our property. Our property sits back off the road.
We love to travel ourselves so availability varies a great deal. You just need to contact us to see if we will be available. Winters can be very cold at times, so December through February are pretty iffy unless you just need a place to park overnight. We would love to meet you so drop us a line if you are traveling through our area.
Hells Canyon, McCall Idaho, Sumpter Oregon all just a days drive away.
This location was easy to find and close to the highway, but far enough off to be very quiet. Jerry and Sue and Sunni were sweet and helpful. Sadie loved being off leash and meeting another old dog. Great hospitality!
We were greeted with cookies! It is a nice quiet setting among the alfalfa fields, yet very close to a small town for errands. JerryandSue were gracious and helped us on our way as we were traveling through and only stopped for one night.
Did you ever meet someone for the first time and feel deep
inside that you've known them forever?
Well, that was our experience with these two special people.
They greeted us with open arms, a dish of delicious goodies,
helped us set up for the evening, and then invited us to join
them on their beautiful backyard deck.
We laughed, we joked, went from one meaning conversation
to the next with never a lul or dull moment well into the evening.
In the morning they were there again, with muscle and atv, to
help get us turned around and wish us a bon voyage.
It was sad to leave, but we look forward the day when we can
pick up where we left off!!!
Jerry and Sue were very gracious hosts. Jerry sent me great directions to their property and our site was very convenient. We sat on their back deck and talked for several hours. Their home is located in between farm fields; very peaceful. A fun time
Snow to the north, snow to the west, snow to the east, somehow These two managed a dry driveway. Much appreciated night and the treats were yummy. Thanks guys.
Jerry & Sue are very outgoing, it was a real pleasure to meet them. We look forward to seeing them again. Thanks for hosting us, we really enjoyed our visit.
We are very glad to visit Jerry and Sue on our trip to Southern Utah. They let us stay for two nights at their beautiful property in Fruitland, Idaho and even baked for us cupcakes. Tasted very good. If we come back to the area we would be happy to stay with them again.
Not only were Sue and Jerry very warm and welcoming but they provide such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Greg and I really enjoyed our time with Sue and Jerry and very much hope they one day can make their way up here!
