We live on a homestead that is a 14 acre tree farm. We are very remote with our easterly neighbors being a 600 acre tree farm bordered by 1000 acres of commercial timberland. Territorial views overlooking the Kalama River Valley.
Logging roads allow miles of off leash dog walking. Fresh farm raised eggs are available every morning! We have a honey bee apiary, so fresh honey is available at select times of the year!
Laundry facilities are available on a limited basis.
Please, No aggressive dogs. We have two smaller house dogs that are let out frequently to relieve themselves and my granddaughters also have two small dogs that come and visit ( on their own at unannounced times!). They are friendly but vulnerable to larger dogs.
We live up a relatively steep county road (16% grade) for about a mile. The county road ends and becomes a hard packed gravel roadway. This also becomes almost 17% for about 500'. I owned a 31' Class C motor home and towed a small car up this road without difficulty. Just dont stop on the steep stuff!
Being a one lane private road (~1/4 mile), there are low hanging branches potentially. At the top of the crest at my driveway entrance is a hard right hand turn with turn around capability in front of the pole barn.
Parking is available on site, either next to RV or in gravel parking lot
We do a lot of last minute trips in the summer to the boat, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you.
I'm retired, so I'm home quite a bit.... but I can only get cell phone service when I am in my house, and not on the property, garden or shop. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
We are located 8 miles off of Interstate 5 at exit 32. We are 35 miles from Vancouver, 10 miles from downtown Kalama. Shopping is available from larger retailers in Longview or Woodland. Both are another 8 miles either south or north from exit 32.
