Normal residential setting. You are welcome to park on the street in front of the house. One night stays only. Absolutely no more than two. This is a location to use if you need a night to stop while passing through. Nothing to do here except visit a little with us and go for a walk / bike ride on the trail system. Lake Lewisville is about 1.5 miles away via the trail system. Suggested Local Attractions: Groceries and beer/wine/liquor stores close by. Movie house is about 3 miles away. Great restaurants within 1-4 miles. The "Flower Mound" is the local geographical feature about 5 miles away. You can actually walk up on it and see 360 degrees across the blighted urban landscape.......used to be able to walk up on top and see prairie and the Cross Timbers Forest. Some remnants remain. Lake Lewisville is a huge man made lake that most people from states with natural lakes would call a mud hole, but we are proud of it since it is the source of our drinking water. The haunted old iron bridge at Old Alton is about 7 miles away. It crosses Hickory Creek and the very upper end of the Hickory Creek arm of Lake Lewisville. Good hiking trail starts there.

House Rules

Pets must be on a leash and please pick up after them. Generators not okay. This is a neighborhood and neighbors may object. Electric hookup is 20 am, standard 15-20 receptacle. You will need an adapter for 30/50 amp to 20 amp This is a residential neighborhood, so please act accordingly. This is a place to park and rest for a night, not to camp. So, no setting up outdoor shelters, barbecues, etc. A couple of lawn chairs would be okay, but again, it would be in our front lawn. If you come in at night after 9pm, then hookups may be unavailable. Communicate before arrival to make arrangements Plan on leaving in the morning before 9am, but communicate with us and we can be flexible depending on your needs. Communicate with us what you need.

Location

Residential street. Parking is "pull through" on the curb in front of the house. Electric hookup will require a 60' cord. We can help with a heavy duty extension cord if needed. You'll have to be the judge on whether the voltage drop will be too significant. For lights and low amp appliances, its fine. We have had guests use their A/C with the hookup.

We were welcomed warmly and had an uneventful night parked on the road in front of their house. They were incredibly gracious to allow us to stay parked for several house beyond the original agreement when the little car we tow had a tire blowout.

Great stay in a quiet neighborhood. I got in late but talked with Scott the following morning. Nice, welcoming hosts who even offered an electric hookup if needed. Will definitely stop by again if driving this way.

Wonderful stay in a delightful, quiet neighborhood north of D/FW with a variety of excellent resturants and shopping nearby. Hosts were extremely responsive, friendly, and accommodating. They offered a 20A connection for heat as the night was going to dip to freezing (although I didn't need it). Will definitely stay again when I need a midpoint stop in D/FW!
