Suburbs of Wilmington NC approx. 12 to 15 mins from the beach parking. We are on the north end of town which offers easy in and out access to major highways. As you go south into Wilmington and down to Carolina Beach, traffic becomes busier. Wrightsville beach is 10 mins away. Any stores or services you need are within 10 to 15 minutes. There is a driveway security camera as well as others, so you do not need to worry about your rig. Suggested Local Attractions:Wrightsville beach, Carolina beach, Wilmington River walk, Battleship North Carolina, Fort Fisher Kure Beach, Surf City and Topsail Island is about 45 mins north. And Hr south offers Oak Island and numerous other beach towns. Wilmington area is amazing with a lot to do, way too much to list here.

House Rules

Long term stays (more than a night or 2) will be case by case, and mainly for smaller rigs, vans etc. Our neighborhood is a quiet one, so no blaring of music, etc. This is meant to be a quick stop over and not a camp ground for long term. Clean up your pets messes. No lounging on the driveway, there is a back deck that you may relax on just inside the gate. We need to be able to get our cars in and out, but this will be arranged and set up case by case upon arrival. If we are not home, we ask that you park and go and not enter the back yard etc. (we travel a lot). No smoking on the wood deck. Ask before placing garbage in our trash can and recycle bins (they fill fast, we want to help out but at times might not be able to) There is also a recycle center drop off in the neighborhood. Basically, just be respectful and ask if you are curious about something.

Location

Access Road Conditions: Concrete driveway. Newer subdivision with great roads. Interstate 40 is less than 10 mins away. You may enter the driveway from either direction, going around the block for easier access, backup, etc. is not an issue here. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Suburbs parking in a wide driveway. HOA does not allow long term trailer parking; therefore, travel trailers may only stay a night or two and tow vehicle needs to stay attached. Depending on day & time of year, detaching the tow vehicle might be acceptable for during the day. 40 ft. total length max as the driveway is short. RVs, camper vans, trucks with camper beds etc. are not an issue.

Avid travel and adventure seekers via camping and motorcycle trips Details: We love to travel, hike, surf, skateboard, kayak... pretty much anything and everything outdoors. Currently we are travelling via motorcycle or in our little rugged Bushwhacker tear drop. Home Town: Wilmington NC is a small yet vibrant city with tons to do from the river walk to beaches. Art galleries and good food readily available everywhere. We are 12-15 minutes from the beach depending on how many traffic lights you get stuck at. Wrightsville beach is just a quick jump over the bridges and you are in a mostly residential gorgeous beach area. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Although we live on the east coast, our preference is desert mountains.... TX, AZ, NM, UT. Finding areas to boondock on the east coast is a bit more challenging. Let us know where you are headed and we'll share whatever info we have. Skills or Expertise to Share: We know the area and east coast quite well. Have travelled a lot, so tons of recommendations. I am also an avid motorcyclist, off-road and on; so if you have a toy hauler, I can recommend some areas to go to. And of course there are the beaches, we'll tell you where the locals go, where to park, etc.

Convenient subdivision location for a visit to Wilmington. Moved their cars to leave room for our van before we arrived. Driveway has a minor 1 degree slope. Great communication and friendly local knowledge from host.
