If you just want a safe, rural place to sleep- this is a great fit. This is my home/farm though so unfortunately I do no have any amenities or utilities for you- it's essentially a place to park. The pull-off is directly off the road and there is a farm gate there you can close once you are in. This is at the foot of my property, mostly open fields with a nearby wildflower area (about an acre) and a 5-acre pond. Pets are ok as long as they are quiet and behaved and stay with you. I also have a decent ~2-mile hiking trail around the outside edge of the property you can use if you let me know in advance. You can also fish the pond if you catch and release. There's a good chance you won't meet us- but we're nice people. We don't ask for any payment- but we'd love for you to leave something sentimental in the mailbox like a photo, postcard or something from your trip like a sticker or badge.
The description notes everything pretty clearly. This is a quiet spot for an overnight stay- with no utilities or amenities. It's really not a place to camp, hang-out, etc. If you are quiet and keep to yourself, we're open to more than one night stays.
Gravel drive directly off maintained pavement.
Plenty of space in the pull-off. Prefer vans but smaller campers ok.
If you just need a place to park for the night- reach out. It's a quiet place to get some rest. We're here most of the time. There's a very good chance you may never meet us, but we will wave if we see you.
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere in central Kentucky. Most notable local things are the Bourbon Trail and pretty much an hour to an hour and a half from both Lexington and Louisville.
