This is a driveway, that leads to my home. Nothing fancy. Safe and quiet. Not sure it is ideal for a larger RV. I think it is better for Class B vehicles. Suggested Local Attractions:This is a good stopping place on the way to Acadia National Park, farther north, or the Maine coastal areas.

I love to be that person you can glean all the local beta from. I enjoy meeting others and hearing life stories. I would love to gain more perspective on traveling whether it is the US or abroad. Pleasant stay in a quiet spot. Our host was away — sorry not to meet her — but her daughter was there to help us settle in and to provide a wifi-password.

Basil is an incredible host who’s been involved with many different hospitality exchanges over the years. I feel so fortunate to have had the privilege of being her guest. She is an absolutely fascinating human who goes above and beyond the call of duty for guests, unwanted animals, and I suspect for probably everyone she meets. A true angel.

The property is very pretty. It’s on a long road that dead ends so it’s nice and quiet. There are plenty of trails nearby and it’s also close to Bangor. Mount Waldo was a great hike with some beautiful views at the top. My dogs loved hiking Mount Waldo and walking around the host’s neighborhood. But the best part about my stay was the host. She is an incredible person. We shared a few home-cooked meals, drinks and great conversation. She was more than accommodating of me and my dogs. I will make every effort to stay here again after I head back through Maine.
