Our home was built by Mr. J. L. and Mrs. Gladys Keys in the 1970's. Mrs. Gladys used to work for my Grandmother at the local ladies dress shop. She and her husband often brought us fresh vegetables they raised on their "little piece of heaven." They had no children and all these years later, their idea of heaven became ours to take care of now. We are so blessed here at Payne Lane Farms. You can safely camp minutes off of I-20 on our wooded, rural lot minutes from town, convenience stores, food, and even dump stations near by. The front (grass lawn) pecan orchard provides a refuge of shade and privacy while also allowing you to see everything around you. Rayville, Louisiana has great history and heritage and some fun artifacts to explore if you have an adventurous spirit. Good people and family owned businesses if services are needed while enroute-traveling. Payne Lane Farms provides grass lot shaded site with small concrete slab to park on for boondocking or plug-in at our 50 Amp service ($15.00per night) under the lighted pecan trees. A quiet stay and hopefully a start sky. This would be for people traveling through that needed a safe place for the/a night. Suggested Local Attractions: Rhymes Memorial Library, shopping at Magnolias and Lace, or The Rose… El Paso Mexican and Big Johns Burgers. Boeuf River and Rhymes School have deep historical roots. Motor homes in excess of 30,000 pounds and more than 35’ in length may not have the kind of ‘get up and go’ needed to navigate the front orchard. I know they have get up and go, it just is not distributed in a way that makes them able to navigate the orchard perhaps… We mainly host 33’ and under bumper pulls! We are not set up to pull out rigs weighing 30,000 pounds or more that may become bogged down! CNR or Bear's Towing Service is! If you risk it, call ahead for rates. As a side note, we do have a local Walmart and a Pilot if it’s raining and you need a place to stay over and you have a super heavy setup. I know that those parking lots are not pretty, but you sure won't get stuck in them... Happy Camping!

Butts go in trash. No Generators after 6pm. Pick up and Pull out by 9am Please! Dogs need to be current on Vet and Flea / Tick Treated. We have a quiet little life here, except for one rooster. He is kinda vocal sometimes! We don’t outright sell things like many hosts do. Occasionally we have eggs for $3.00 a dozen or by request will take orders for dinners or desserts (food license/ServeSafe is current). Canned goods, soups, etc… We have a canning pantry where items are for sale $2.00 a jar if you want to avoid store shopping. Our town has a walmart, DG, Brookshires and several gas stations. This part of the I-20 corridor is low on safe, clean and just usable places to RV/stay. Eatting out recommendations available if needed (Waffle House and El Fogata are about it - Both 1 minute away) Fire Ring can be provided. #NoWorriesAttitude found here…
Location
Access Road Conditions: You may be more comfortable pulling just past of the mailbox and using the yard if you are not plugging in for the night. 50amp plug may or may not be booked. Rate is $15.00 per night for 50 amp service. If you need 30 amp bring your step-down service! Rigs more than 35’ long weighing in excess of 30,000 pounds (Motorhome Coach) are probably not best suited for this type of camp ground. A GM truck towing a 33’ Airstream is what we most commonly see. We have never seen a tow set up like this have problems navigating the orchard. Trees are being trimmed constantly and shrubs removed as we add utilities to the front orchard. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We are not particular. Can use driveway roadside or park with the travel trailer. No tent camping at this time. Please text me at (318) 235-4798 and do not use ap for messaging. Also available to book on Hip Camp and https://paynelanefarms.square.site We have a second property with NO POWER that we can divert overflow too. 400 acre cattle ranch six miles north of our farm here off of the interstate. Please message me on text to communicate as the ap can be hard to navigate from my phone.

We had lots of rain, so the yard was flooded... The host was so accommodating, she sent us down the road to her dad's old farm. There was no power, but we could use the generator, so it was all good. What a beautiful place.

This host's property was flooded and she could have easily denied my request. Instead she found me a wonderful alternate site for the night. Safe and peaceful. We did not meet, but I did get to meet her kind father who hooked us up with electricity for the chilly night. Would sure recommend this generous host.

Our first time using Boondockers Welcome and we found such an easy friendly place for our maiden voyage with our new class b van. Thank you Justin for the safe stop over on our way to Fl. We will be back if we drive near you on the way home.
