Hello Fellow Traveler, PLEASE NOTE: MY URBAN DRIVEWAY MEASUREMENTS ARE 17 FEET WIDE AND 18 FEET IN LENGTH. THE DRIVEWAY IS NOT FLAT. SEE THE PHOTO BEFORE REQUESTING A STAY, THANK YOU;) I am located between Gilroy and Monterey, a few minutes west of Highway 101. Travel time to Monterey/Carmel is about 15 minutes. Santa Cruz is about 35 minutes (depending on traffic). Access to highways 101, 156, and 1 is pretty easy from my location. Several grocery stores, pharmacies, a brewery, restaurants, and an auto supply store are nearby in case you need to get provisions. I live in an urban working-class neighborhood in Seaside. Seaside is located between Santa Cruz and Monterey on the California coast. Morning fog is not uncommon, but that keeps our temperatures pretty mild. You are welcome to boondock in my driveway. PLEASE NOTE: MY DRIVEWAY MEASUREMENTS ARE 17 FEET WIDE AND 18 FEET IN LENGTH. THE DRIVEWAY IS NOT FLAT. SEE THE PHOTO BEFORE REQUESTING A STAY, THANK YOU;) No generators after 8 pm or before 8 am, be respectful of neighbors and quiet down at 10 pm. Owners may come and go early in the morning but please will be quiet and respectful. I love my neighbors;) The driveway site is suitable for vans or smaller Class B rigs (less than 20 feet) and you will need to back in or back out. I am not sure if there is room on either side for slide-outs. Electricity and water can be made available if requested for a $15 donation. There is a small seating area in the front yard for you. No other amenities are available. Happy trails to you! See You Down the Road... Suggested Local Attractions: There are so many unique attractions and tours in Monterey County that it can be hard to pick just one! From historic sites to wine and agricultural tours to scenic drives, beaches, and even aerial tours, the sky's the limit! There's something for every type of travel interest whether you're looking to see some of the more iconic attractions like Big Sur, Carmel, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17-Mile Drive, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf, or simply hang out at the beach...

I am a middle school teacher who enjoys a good joke and camping and van life. Details: My goal is to create a well-lived life that sparks joy! I love to learn new things, meet new people, and go on new adventures in California One (my camper van)! Top Three Expectations: 1. Laugh a little (or a lot) have fun. 2. Follow the Golden Rule. 3. Be gentle with yourself and others. Home Town: When I am not traveling Sand City's West End is where I hang my hat. It is an exciting blend of art and industry in the transformed area dubbed the ‘West End.' The community opens its doors most weekends with some type of music, dance, street performances, local restaurateurs, and food producers in celebrating Sand City’s unique ways of living and working. The West End features open studio tours, permanent murals, pop-up art exhibits, live entertainment, food, craft beer, wine tasting, and other activities. Favorite Boondocking Locations: The Carmel Beach and West End city streets...

We had a choice to park in front of house or another spot on the street that was a bit more level and that worked well for us. Martha was welcoming and very friendly. Thanks for a greet place to stay on our way through.

Martha was so sweet, she greeted me when I arrived, my van was a bit long in her driveway so she moved her car from the street so I could park in front of her home, which was a little more level!! It's a tight narrow street, but so great to have a friendly soul to make you feel welcome and a safe place to park after a long day day of driving. Martha was very communicative, which was great!

Super friendly host, moved car to street so we could park in driveway. Space can be tight for larger rigs, but perfect for our small class B.

This was my first BW stay ever. Martha was super-communicative, replied promptly to all of my questions. She was gracious, giving info on local attractions. We had a very quiet, long, uninterrupted good night’s sleep. Thank you!
