So far none. I hope it stays that way.
gravel.
On the property
You will need to e-mail or call and check. During winter it rains a lot and the ground here is soft so i can't take larger rigs. A 30 ft motor home is ok but 30 ft trailers with tow vehicle are too long to turn around, with out the use of the field. Sorry.

Kenbo was great and made us feel very welcome! We made friends with the curious horses in the field behind and enjoyed the music from one of the nearby houses. It was so nice and quiet and the choices for a parking sites are all good. It was a treat to have WIFi and electrical. We ended up leaving early the following morning so we didn’t get the official tour. Maybe next time!
We had a very nice time meeting and talking with our host! He gave us a tour of his shop and it was AMAZING! This guy can make/manufacture ANYTHING! It's so nice to meet people who have so many different interests!
Our parking spot was small because the rains made the field too soft to drive on, but we had a lovely time and it was a welcome respite from our regular routine.
There's a fantastic Chinese restaurant in Corvallis (China Delight) that has great vegetarian and vegan options and very friendly staff!
Perfect spot for visiting family...great view of Mary's Peak...sweet horses and SO quiet! My husband had a tour of our host's interesting shop...thanks Ken..Will definitely return.
Had a nice stay. Kent was personable. Nice view of the mountains and the horses in the pasture we friendly. It was hard to see the driveway and mailbox numbers but we found it the second time around.
Kenbo was welcoming and friendly. Quiet parking space in the back of his property looking out at fields toward Mary’s peak. There are friendly horses that may come and visit on the property next door. Beautiful park with a community garden is within walking distance (1/2 mile?). Nice neighborhood.
What a wonderful location, it’s like living in the country and yet just minutes away from the city. I woke up to the neighbors’ horses and some deer in the field right in front of my van. Cannot start the day any better !
Host was very helpful explaining where the nearest parks were. And gave me some other great suggestions.
Thank you so much again for accommodating me !
If you love horses this is an unbelievable bonus! Kenai quickly greeted us with a tour of his amazing workshops. After that we were set up and situated—very peaceful and lovely large property. Bonus! There are two gorgeous mares that share the field with your campsite. Don’t miss this spot. You’re behind a farm workshop and it opens into a beautiful spot. Thanks Kenbo!
Kent is an excellent host. The directions provided were easy to follow and he was available to great us on our arrival. The spot was level and access was simple. Kent gave us a tour of his workshop even demonstrating the operation of several tools and inventions. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely contact Kent again if we are in the area.
Kenbo was a gracious host who let me stay at short notice. He wore a mask to talk to me when I arrived, which I really appreciate! (Ironically, my masks were in the back, so I just cracked my window).
The spot is at the back of his property - cut grass/hay/straw? with horses next to it. Loved the horse neighbors. Unfortunately, my hayfever didn't cooperate (hadn't had it in years!) and I left early, but he was very understanding.
We stayed two nights. Kenbo was super friendly and got us set up right away. Nice spot with horses and mountains within view and a short bike ride to downtown.
This is a great property for an RV.. It is near grocery and shopping, and close to Philomath and Corvallis, but has an out in the country feel. Very quiet and peaceful and plenty of space to walk the dog. Kenbo was so nice and a terrific host. I would have liked to spend more time with him, but I was very busy during my stay here.
Such a beautiful view of the mountains at sunset and a safe place to crash for the evening! Kenbo has some pretty incredible hobbies and showed us around his property. He also provided us with electricity and told us to call if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!
Friendly interesting host, nice camp spot.
Enjoyed our visit with Ken.
Got a tour of the hobby headquarters. Wow..Kenbo is one talented and creative person. My 21 foot van fit perfectly. Thanks, again.
Very nice host, took time away from his Saturday evening plans to meet me. Beautiful property with beautiful horses, nice and very quiet.
Thanks very much to Kenbo who accepted a same day request from us. He met us at the driveway when we arrived and directed us to a nice quiet level spot. Had a great quiet night. He graciously offered us an electric hookup but we didn't need it. Highly recommend a stop here.
Kenbo's property is peaceful and private. He was there to greet me when I arrived and provided an electric hook up and wifi. He gave me a tour of his shops and projects. He has many talents and skills; a very interesting fellow. He was available to help if needed. Corvallis is a very nice city with lots of amenities. There are many parks, trails and bike paths near by. I would stay there again.
i thought I already reviewed this place which was a great spot btw, however Boondockers Welcome keeps sending me messages on my phone that I haven't done it yet. So here it is maybe again LOL. Never got to Meet Ken, I was busy and I guess he was too. Location was easy to find, plenty of room etc. I was offered power but didn't need it because I have solar.
It was a great pleasure to meet Kenbo, tour his workshops, and see many of his projects. Nice quiet stay here and very convenient to OSU and downtown Corvallis. Good country bike riding from here and a short ride to bike paths. Fresh blackberries at the door of our RV. Thank you for great stay Kenbo!
Big numbers on mailbox and ‘kenbo’ sign Once turned into driveway. Large flat mowed area and turn around space. I was there 3 nights and gone all day so never had an opportunity to actually meet Kenbo but He responded promptly when I texted that I had arrived. Told me how to get power but didn’t need it since I have solar.
I’ll likely be back some day and hopefully have a chance in person to meet and thank Kenbo for being a Boondockers Welcome host.
We stayed two nights at Kent's place... I wish we had had time for the "tour" of his shop! Looked really cool! We were visiting my brother, who lives in Corvallis, so we were occupied most of the time. Kent's place is a little outside of town. Very quiet and nice... we left the windows open in our VW camper and it was quiet and comfortable.
I found the area to be very nice and scenic. The amenities are close. There are seasonal pie cherries you can pick yourself. The residents are very friendly and have very interesting hobbies.
This is by far the most private and peaceful boondocking location I have enjoyed yet. Away from roads and out of sight of people I felt I could really relax unlike anywhere else I have stayed. The host was refreshingly accomodating without being inquisitive or invasive which I really appreciate. When I am back in this area I look forward to requesting another stay with Kenbo again.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Kenbo's. Jenny was layed up sick in the Van and I did some minor works. It was a pleasure to discus ours and his life ventures.Hope to see you in AUST Kenbo.
Kenbo was a wonderful host and a gentleman. Not only did he provide us power, which was needed to run our A/C as it was hot during our stay, but he gave us the full tour of his magical shop. Kenbo must have one of the world's largest collection of oil cans...the tin-man would be in heaven. The property itself is a beautiful 25 acres of meadow which have been in his family for generations.
....Among the alfalfa and birds and breezes. Such a peaceful and quiet place to spend a few days. Kenbo was helpful and understanding when I was delayed because of a wheel bearing failure along the way.
Everything is as described except more peaceful and relaxing.....
Thanks Kenbo...I hope to be able to come for a return visit.
Kenbo is a Super Host!!!! Above and beyond what we expected, this Boondocker is the cherry on our 13000 mile USA Tour cake!!! Hope to be back!
Another restful spot to relax when we were not visiting with our daughter’s family in Corvallis. Thank you Kent!
Another peaceful parking spot ion a beautiful piece of Kenbo’s property. Thank you again, Kenbo for a safe spot to park while we visited our daughter.
Kenbo gave us a warm welcome when we arrived in the early afternoon. We had a tour of his extensive shop and sewing room. He must have every tool there is!
This flat spot off the main road was exactly what we needed for our stay in Corvallis.
Thank you Kenbo for a great stay!
Kent was quite inviting while sharing his multitude of tools and hobbies on site. Had a very nice and relaxing time there; nice and quiet.
Thx much
Steve
What a perfect spot!
Wish I could have stayed longer.
Maybe next time through.
Kenbo was gracious and welcoming. Touring his shops was like visiting a museum!
Greeted me as I arrived and immediately ran a long extension cord out to hook up my rig. His shops are amazing. Perfect location as the beaches were a short 50 minute drive through some beautiful mountains . Asked if I could stay one additional day and without hesitation I was accommodated . Another great host!
Nice stay in a field behind the hosts many workshops. Worth your time to check out Kens collections. We were only a few miles from family , so was perfect for our stay.
Kenbo’s place was exactly what we needed. A place to hang our hat while we waited for mail and did some things to our home on wheels. We stayed behind the shops and Jimmy even got the grand tour ( words cans describe how impressed the shops are!) it’s very quiet here... an oasis.
Kenbo allowed us a 5 day stay behind his shops. Plenty of room for kids and dog to play. He showed us around most of his shops. He has some very interesting hobbies. My husband really enjoyed chatting with him.
Also, short bike ride to two playgrounds.
Simply put: I look forward to visiting Kenbo again!
Very flexible & accommodating! The spot is very quiet and out of the way. Kenbo's workshops are amazing and a true maker's inspiration, he's always thinking and tinkering!
This is by far the most unique Boondockers Welcome site we have encountered! Kent himself is the main attraction! Kent is accomplished in many skills, as others have noted! He has a twinkle in his eye as he guides you through his shops! Machine shop, sewing, auto restoration and some terrific model building! Kent also helped us back into our spot. If you are in or near Corvallis, this is a great BW site!
Kent is a very talented man. Many hobbies & interests. Welcoming and talkative. Easy and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here, & would come back if traveling through this way.
Kent is an interesting and very pleasant fellow to be around, as many others have already pointed out, so I'll stick to reviewing the actual camping area on his property. The gravel road leading back to the boondocking spot from the main street includes a tight 90 degree turn that might be difficult for really long rigs. The parking area is basically a hay field, with a lot of small dips and bumps and it can get pretty slippery in the morning dew. The area is very safe and the only other people we ever saw were a couple riding horses through the property. There are tons of places within 5 or 10 minutes to go shopping and get groceries and fuel.
We loved staying here. It was only for one night, but it was a good one. Kent was very hospitable and we loved seeing his workshop. Parking was pretty easy which was much appreciated since we haven't had our camper very long. We would definitely stay here again!
A gracious host. I loved the tour of the spheres and the workshops. I wish I could do a project together!
The parking spot is hidden from the road in a great neighborhood. Kent was an awesome host. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re back in the area.
It was just great! The communication was easy and the host was really nice! The tour through his workshop was just astonishing! The tips for the days thereafter were also very helpful. Thank you so much!
Kent was absolutely awesome. He was very patient with this newbie as I tried to back my camper into the spot. The location is great, as you are just outside of Corvallis, creating easy access to everything you could possibly need.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Our host was very friendly, and made room for us even though someone else was boondocking there. Thanks again for a pleasnat evening.
We stayed 2 days at Kent's place, and it was perfect for us. He was there when we arrived, showed us where to park, and even gave a tour of his amazing workshops. We enjoyed meeting him, and would definitely stay there again the next time we're in Corvallis. Thanks Kent!
Kent welcomed us, and gave us a tour of his workshop. He is a fascinating person- so involved in interesting restoration projects, and building gadgets - he welcomed us and showed us what he was working on. Thank you Kent for your welcome and tour!
We just loved Ken and his hobbies and stories. We would definitely stay there again. Corvallis is a great spot to anchor to check out all the sites. It was a very quiet neighborhood and away from the street. Although we just stayed one night, we would stay again to say hello.Thank you Ken, for a great experience.
Had a great visit in Corvallis thanks to kenbo. He was hospitable, flexible, low key, and fun to talk to.
Plus, if you have any interest at all in machine or electric engineering or toys, or even sewing, you'll fall in love with his shop. kenbo is a man of many talents and interests, you'll definitely enjoy visiting with him.
I can't recommend this kind host enough! And what an incredible location. If I were to settle down, I'd consider Corvallis. They have a lovely town, with all sorts of family activities to entertain everyone. We especially enjoyed all the U-pick opportunities.
Thank you so much for the generous hospitality! We are grateful!
Found Kenbo on the Boondockers website. He is friendly, easy to work with, and responsive to communication. The area for RVs is about 50 yards back from a street, far from any residences and pleasantly quiet. Electricity was available from a close by shop building. Consider staying with Kenbo if you are looking for a place to park in the Corvallis area.
