Our 10-acre farm is mostly high desert, native land/terrain which is slowly being transformed into a small, sustainable Idaho farm. Our primary focus is currently raising small livestock and growing food in a garden to sell at our local Farmers Market. We share a property line with an active PRIVATE gun range and while this may seem like a deterrent, there's no safety concern for us and the noise is mostly sporadic and the range is closed from sunset to sunrise.

Ok, so the Idaho Pioneer Farm was our first ever time Boondocking, and I must say the bar has now been set very high. Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Upon arrival to the beautiful farm, we were greeted by The Idaho Farmer himself and shown to our Boondocking campsite, which was private, quiet and had a wonderful view of the farm and surrounding area. One other super nice couple were staying in the second campsite next to us. The surrounding area had many farms which was fun to walk around and see. My husband and I went for walks in the area, rode our bikes in nearby neighborhoods, and we also walked the Idaho Pioneer Farm trail that surrounds the property, with our dog Smokey. Speaking of dogs, the farm has two precious dogs, and our Smokey was very sweet on the female! We happened to arrive on the night that The Idaho Farmer was going to be rounding up their chickens to send off to “camp”, so all guests were able to watch, and my husband actually helped to helped which was very cool. We also received a personalized farm tour by the two young sons and they did a fabulous job. We purchased their organic chicken too! All in all I think our two night stay was fun, educational, peaceful, serene and beautiful. Thank you Idaho Pioneer Farmer for a fabulous stay on your property!
We had a wonderful stay at The Idaho Pioneer. Our host was friendly, informative and helpful. We had a great time learning about chicken farming and even got to be part of a “chicken roundup.” The two farm dogs were fun and the sunset was amazing! We would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to eat the frozen chicken we bought as well.
