Update: So far the only type of rv that is too large/heavy is fifth wheels with a large dually truck. The driveway is not wide enough and it caused stress cracks on the sides of the driveway. We should be fine with almost any size Class C motorhome and any size pull behind travel trailers. We do not know about motor coach style yet as we have not had any requests to stay. A smaller one might be ok. We are about 10 minutes off Interstate 95. Take Exit 100 which is the North East, MD exit for Rt 272 if you are traveling east from Baltimore. If you are traveling south on I95 from NY/NJ/PA there is a way for you to avoid the toll at the Delaware/Maryland line by taking the 896 South exit off of Interstate 95. When you merge onto 896 South, travel a few miles and then turn right onto Rt. 40 West and follow gps to our house (about 18-20 minutes further). Our location is very central to a lot of attractions. The Delaware beaches are only about 2 hours away. Rehoboth Beach (95 miles) has outlets (Tanger Outlets) for tax free shopping. Ocean City, MD is about 2 hours (120 miles) away. Ocean City, Maryland has bike week (motorcycles) in Spring and in late September. New York is approximately 2 1/2 hours (145 miles) away. Wildwood NJ is about 2 hours (106 miles) away or you can take the Lewes Ferry across the Delaware Bay to Cape May New Jersey if you have a tow car. The Baltimore Aquarium and the Camden, New Jersey Aquarium are an hour from here. Washington DC is about an hour and a half (90 miles). Lancaster, PA is about an hour and fifteen minutes. Gettysburg is about 2 hours (100 miles). Accessible for home games for Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies Baseball. All about an hour away. Many good restaurants are nearby, some are overlooking the water. Some have all you can eat crabs. The famous Maryland blue crabs. If you want to order a half or full bushel (when in season), we can tell you where and you are welcome to use our deck to gather and have a feast. Delaware is only 15 minutes east. The Christiana Mall is about 30 minutes from our house and has tax free shopping. You can use your savings and go to the Delaware Park Casino on your way back. Hollywood Casino is about a half an hour away from our location. Atlantic City, New Jersey is almost 2 hours away (about 110 miles). A Wolf Lodge is slated to open by 2023 just down the road in Perryville. We have time to chit chat if you would like. I (wife) work on genealogy and I am always happy to research and talk the talk. It's my hobby now that I am retired. I also am lucky to be able to take care of a grandchild 5 days a week. My husband is a retired Navy Veteran and is always up for conversation. We love motorcycles, classic cars, genealogy, family and sitting around with family and friends having a fun time.

House Rules

We prefer no smoking. If you do smoke, please do it in your camper where we will not smell it and no cigarette butts thrown on the ground. If you need to run your generator for some reason, it must be turned off by 9. We have a 30 amp dedicated outlet installed on the side of the garage for our campers. Our deck/back porch has been updated and you are invited to use it anytime. You will find a bar b que grill and a fire pit on the deck. We have a fire pit in the yard too. Wood is behind the garage. Help yourself. We have a blue trash bin by the fence gate into the yard. Place your trash in a plastic bag before throwing it in the bin. If you use our chairs on the back deck/porch, please put them back. If you need anything, just ask. We want your stay to be easy not stressful. Most importantly, have fun!!!!!

Location

Access Road Conditions: WE PREFER YOU ARRIVE DURING DAYLIGHT BECAUSE OUR DRIVEWAY IS DIFFICULT TO BACK DOWN ONCE DAYLIGHT FADES. IF YOU CAN'T, LET US KNOW SO WE WILL BE HOME OR PREPARED TO STAY UP LATE TO ASSIST. Must negotiate two 90 degree turns. One turning in to our neighborhood on Indian Road and one to the right onto Falls Road. Only 2 streets. Look for number 71 on the mailbox post on the right side of the road. Once you are facing our cul de sac you need to pull partially in the driveway to the far left to negotiate an easy backup into our driveway. MUST BACK IN OUR DRIVEWAY. Our driveway has a slight bend that makes it a little tricky. Back down to the side of our garage. We have an outside hose for you to hook up. We have installed a 30 amp outlet for our Boondockers on the outside of the garage. If your rv is over 32 feet we ask that you have a comfort level negotiating 90 degree turns in a neighborhood with not so wide streets and sometimes with cars parked on them in some spots along Indian Road. If it's a tall rv, let us know. We have a tree we might need to trim a few branches up. We have determined we are unable to accept fifth wheels. We tried one and the width and weight on the edges of our driveway are too much for the driveway. YOU CAN CONTACT US SAME DAY IF NECESSARY BUT KNOW WE MAY NOT BE PREPARED RIGHT AWAY IF WE ARE RUNNING ERRANDS, ETC. OUR RV (28 ft) IS PARKED IN THE SPOT UNLESS WE KNOW YOU ARE COMING. There is enough room for you to park in our cul de sac until we arrive. CELL IS 302-528-3366. BETTY ANN Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Our driveway is long enough and we have extra spots on the other side of the driveway. There is also an area on the street for a tow vehicle.

Easy going, fun and sociable Details: We are easy going, thrilled to be retired, excited to see the sights and meet good people. I adapt to almost anywhere and love a nice campfire or talking around a fire pit. I enjoy playing card games, board games, outside games etc. My husband does not except for maybe horse shoes. I hope to travel some with the children and grandchildren too. We have two young grandchildren. Both toddlers. Our children have full time jobs so their traveling with us will be limited. We both love riding motorcycles. I have a hobby which is genealogy. It consumes a lot of my time as I also help others if they want some assistance to try and learn who their parent, parents or grandparents are. Home Town: We live in North East, MD. I am from Clayton, Delaware and my husband is from Elkton, Maryland. Favorite Boondocking Locations: No. New to boondocking. Skills or Expertise to Share: I have no idea what to list here. I worked for 43 years. My last 32 years were spent in law offices in various positions such as Office Manager, Paralegal, Secretary, and Bookkeeper. Currently I enjoy working on genealogy - mine and others. My husband did 23 years in the Navy. We both have our motorcycle license and enjoy a good ride. We are raising a few angus steers on our daughter's property. We both hunt. I love to hunt deer and my husband hunts a variety. We eat what we hunt.

Thank you Mommadukes! We are sorry the weather didn’t give us a chance to catch up. We so appreciate your making your safe, quiet, cozy spot available to us yet again. Come stay with us and we will spoil you both!

We are Mommadukes’ biggest fans. Southern hospitality starts in Northeast! We loved the warm welcome upon on our return visit! The introduction to 2 generations of your family, who love pups, was a tonic. Crab Lover’s Paradise has it all and we feel blessed to have been able to stay here. Grandbaby, and your goodbye waves were priceless. Thank you.

Duane and Betty had a blacktopped level space for us in their cul de sac. It was quiet and close to scenic spots and yummy crabs to dine upon. We took advantage of their water and elec tric hook ups. We will return again.
