We are located between Standish and Tawas City near the Saginaw Bay. We have room in the front yard for you to barbecue and sit outside. Across the street is a large wetland area. We have neighbors on one side and open fields on the other side. Our homes are built on a canal so our back yard is where we hang out, the front yard is semi-private and available for you to use. Suggested Local Attractions:The Rifle River for tubing, kayaking or canoeing. Public boat launch to Lake Huron. Restaurants and a grocery store. Nice park and county beach on Lake Huron.

Love traveling around the country. Details: My husband Deck and I, retired, sold our home of 30 years and hit the road in a class A motorhome. We traveled for a year and enjoyed ever minute of it. We purchased a home up north so we could spend our summers boating on the Great Lakes enjoying Michigan's beautiful summers and our families. Our goal is to visit all the National Parks and everything in between. We now travel in a class C motorhome enjoying the outdoors and continue our travels around the US. Home Town: Au Gres, Michigan Skills or Expertise to Share: 45 years camping, including tents, pop-ups, 5th wheel, Class A and now a Class C motorhome.

I was the first guest to be hosted at Huron Canal but with how great the hosts were it seemed like they’ve had dozens of guests here before. The communication was excellent. I was greeted upon arrival and shown where to park and hook up. The spot is quiet and level. Towards the end of a dead end road so not much traffic at all. Swapped a few stories with the hosts and shared some of our past travel experiences and future plans. Highly recommend stopping in for a stay if you’re in the area.
