This 2-acre property has three dwelling houses on it but still plenty of room for an occasional overnight RV. We are on the edge of Aylmer, part of Gatineau and a 7-minute drive from the Sir John MacDonald bridge from Ottawa.
The property is well-treed and it is not uncommon to see a deer munching on fallen apples or rabbits stealing vegetables from the garden.
Slideouts on one side of your RV can be extended but not on the other as it might obstruct use of the driveway by other residents.
No running generators after 10 p.m.
Long gravel driveway off a main paved road. Some overhanging trees with leaves which will brush the roof of your rig, but nothing that could damage any roof-mounted equipment.
Gravel driveway. Depending upon size of rig, the parking location may be a bit uneven, so leveling pads may be needed. There is a turnaround within the property which may be a bit tight for long RVs to use. Tow vehicle can remain attached or can be parked in another nearby space.
We travel regularly during the summer but our plans are flexible enough that we can accommodate yours.
We are a 5-minute drive from major grocery stores and other shops and restaurants. A bit farther down the same road brings you into the heart of Vieux Aylmer which has plenty of character. On the far side of Aylmer is the shore of the Ottawa River where there is a lovely, supervised swimming beach, playground, picnic area and space for many activities. There is an oversized Adirondack chair (our Ontario friends would call it a Muskoka chair) perfectly positioned to watch a glorious sunset when the weather co-operates.
We stayed for one night in September. Al & Bev have a great lifestyle - staying in each Canadian province! Kudos to them!
Quiet, lovely place to stay.
