Description

We're in a country setting but do have neighbors on both sides. We like to be respectful of our neighbors by keeping tidy and generally quiet (but a good evening gathering or yard party are certainly a thing!). We've got a 6.5 yo who LOVES making new friends. Our property is 2 wooded acres you're welcome to roam, and our neighborhood is host to many interesting livestock you'll see on a nice stroll or bike ride - donkeys, emus, horses, sheep, goats, cows, giant tortoises, and more. We also have exciting wildlife like deer, foxes, coyotes, bobcats, over 30 species of wild birds, snakes, and the rare mountain lion sighting (you're blessed if you ever get to see one!) Guests are welcome to use our BBQ and enjoy watching sunsets from our back porch.

House Rules

-- Please tidy up and pack up each time you finish cooking or leave to enjoy an attraction, and before going to bed.
-- If you need to hang/lay things out to dry or re-pack, please use the back yard area.
-- Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am.
-- Guests are welcome to explore our property trails and use our grill.
-- No *cigarettes*. Other smoking is OK.
-- No generators.
-- No driving on the septic field (front lawn).
-- Trash may be disposed in the bins by the gate.
-- Recycling is required. Please don't make us sort your waste after you leave.
-- We're big on lots of good communication. The more the better!

Suggested Local Attractions

We're within minutes of distilleries, wineries, breweries, and great BBQ. River activities in Austin, San Marcos, and New Braunfels are 25 - 45 minutes away. Area lakes are 45 minutes to an hour away in all directions. Artist and weaving attractions are 30 minutes away in Wimberley. Guests are welcome to borrow our kayak, fishing poles, and bikes. There are beautiful Hill Country drives all around, and Central Texas music is strong. Also...tacos.
