Located 10 minutes south of the town of Huntsville, on a paved rural road, our 4 acre property sits on the edge of a natural wetland, surrounded by hills and forest (cell service can be limited) where you will see a wonderful variety of birds. The entrance to our gravel driveway is very wide with a short hill down to an even wider, flat, open area that will easily accommodate turning and backing up. We have cleared a campsite on the edge of the wetland in a well treed area, but we also offer level parking in the driveway itself, beside our open lawn area. We have a short boardwalk out to a small flowing stream that runs through the wetland. Guests are welcome to use the side and upper deck of our home where you can enjoy a perfect view over the marsh and the many birds that live here. This is an extremely quiet area but there is the occasional ATV or noisy vehicle that goes by, as is common in rural areas. Our road is quite lovely to walk or bike, with a steep hill to the west and less hilly to the east. The trees on our property and the surrounding area are quite stunning in the peak of the fall colour season. Suggested Local Attractions:Algonquin Provincial Park 30 minutes east. Arrowhead Provincial Park 25 minutes north. South Portage Boat Launch and Park 9 minutes east. Port Sydney Beach and Boat Launch 15 minutes west. Dwight Beach and Boat Launch 15 minutes east. The town of Huntsville is 10 minutes north of us - for groceries, fuel, supplies, etc with a lovely downtown located on the picturesque Muskoka River where you will find restaurants, ice cream, children’s playground, park, and more. Our road is a favourite route for motorcycle and bicycle touring, especially in the fall season.

I was given a quick response to my request. More specific instructions followed. Everything was as described and the welcome and conversation were inspiring. Not only that, but I was surrounded by beautiful forest. Thank you.

Lovely location by a marsh. We saw FIREFLIES in the night. Great hosts! You made us feel welcome, we had some great chats, and still you gave us our privacy. Thank you! We would recommend this calming site for anyone with a rig on the shorter size due to the sloped gravel driveway.
