Located 10 minutes south of the town of Huntsville, on a paved rural road, our 4 acre property sits on the edge of a natural wetland, surrounded by hills and forest (cell service can be limited) where you will see a wonderful variety of birds. The entrance to our gravel driveway is very wide with a short hill down to an even wider, flat, open area that will easily accommodate turning and backing up. We have cleared a campsite on the edge of the wetland in a well treed area, but we also offer level parking in the driveway itself, beside our open lawn area. We have a short boardwalk out to a small flowing stream that runs through the wetland. Guests are welcome to use the side and upper deck of our home where you can enjoy a perfect view over the marsh and the many birds that live here. This is an extremely quiet area but there is the occasional ATV or noisy vehicle that goes by, as is common in rural areas. Our road is quite lovely to walk or bike, with a steep hill to the west and less hilly to the east. The trees on our property and the surrounding area are quite stunning in the peak of the fall colour season.
Paved road to gravel driveway. One steep hill on road
We do a lot of last minute trips in the summer, but feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you.
Algonquin Provincial Park 30 minutes east.
Arrowhead Provincial Park 25 minutes north.
South Portage Boat Launch and Park 9 minutes east.

The town of Huntsville is 10 minutes north of us - for groceries, fuel, supplies, etc with a lovely downtown located on the picturesque Muskoka River where you will find restaurants, ice cream, children’s playground, park, and more.
Our road is a favourite route for motorcycle and bicycle touring, especially in the fall season.
We had a great stay! Very quiet (other than the thunder) and peaceful. Hosts were friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again!
What a great stay we had at Birders Paradise. Peace and quiet in nature, yet close to a beautiful community on the lakes.
Enjoyed hearing about the history of the area and seeing many of the cottages on the water.
We also enjoyed wonderful conversations and time spent overlooking their wetlands.
Would gladly stay here again!
We had a wonderful visit at birders Paradise. A truly quiet and serene place for a rest. We enjoyed chatting with the host about the RV lifestyle, and talking about their Hobbies.
Very much looking forward to visiting again sometime.
This was possibly the quietest and greenest Boondocker'a,site we have ever visited! We really appreciated the hosts sharing common interests with us and opening this very beautiful place with us!
Thank you, Birders Paradise!
Great location along the wetlands to enjoy the flights of nature. Peaceful location with shaded area. And clase to to a great little town.
It was our first stay at a host‘s site, so we were curious how it works. We LOVE it! John and MaryAnne gave as such a warm welcome and were so helpful, just amazing! One of the most quiet places we have ever been to. John helped us with a small repair in the morning and we could fill our freshwater with his fantastic own dwell.
As visitors from Germany we like to get in contact with Canadian people, so Boondockers is great, especially with hosts like John and MaryAnn.
