We are located in Boerne, TX (pronouced Bernie) right in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. We are just a five minute drive from our scenic downtown. We are in a neighborhood that was developed in the 80s and has unique custom homes and lots of massive mature oak trees. Everyone in our neighborhood has between 1-10 acres of property.
We have about 3 acres of property with the best view in the neighborhood. Looking out from our back patio, the view literally stretches for miles. Our neighbors behind us have three Longhorns and they are majestic to watch (when they are around). We have a fully fenced in yard and your dog(s) are welcome to run off leash, but they'll have to deal with our four (very friendly) dogs. So if yours don't get along well with others, this might not be a good spot for you.
We have a nice pool, hot tub, fire pit and outdoor kitchen that you are welcome to use. We are pretty busy empty-nesters in our mid 50s, but we really enjoy socializing so if we are around we'll likely share a beer or wine on our patio.
Our property is just 1 mile from I-10 with easy access on and off.
**We're pretty easy going people and prefer no actual "rules" other than common courtesy.
**You are welcome to use our pool and hot tub but we ask that on Sunday-Thursday nights that all activities are over by 9 pm.
**We have a large fence around our property, but if you are parked in our backyard (recommended for the view), the pool is not fenced in. So we do not recommend having young children on our property.
We have a circular driveway that can be used for parking. This would essentially be a pull-through and would require no backing up. However, parking your rig in our backyard is a much better spot with direct access to our pool and a beautiful view of the Texas Hill Country. Getting into our backyard does require backing up through a fairly narrow gate in our fence, so bring your backing A-game. LOL.
Plenty of space on our property for tow vehicle parking.
We are empty nesters that are quite busy with weekend trips and work travel....much of which is last minute. We will try to keep our availability calendar updated, but please understand that our schedules change frequently and often with little notice.
Boerne, TX was founded in the late 1800s by German immigrants. Our "Hill Country Mile" district is a historic quaint downtown Main Street that is filled with boutiques, antique stores, restaurants, brewpubs, and coffee shops. Boerne is a great little place to just stroll around for a day and we love to give recommendations.
We were able to stay here for two nights and our hosts were easy going, friendly and had a beautiful property.
Our fifth wheel was too tall to safely make it under the trees in their driveway but they've got a half circle drive, so we parked on the right side (a bit of a hill to get down) and it worked fine.
Neighborhood was easy to navigate in and we were able to visit the "Cave without a name" 20 minutes away which was fantastic!
Definitely recommend staying here if you're in the Sam Antonio area & your rig isn't too big or tall.
