Welcome to Constellation Farmstead. We are a multi-faceted agritourism destination combining farming, homesteading and leisure. We are located in a quaint and quiet area of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
We currently have camping space available both for tents and dry camping with an RV.
So far for animals we have 3 pigs, 15 chickens, and 8 of the softest rabbits you will ever meet.
Our hiking trails are open, and markers are being added. You are welcome to hike through our property on any maintained trails.
In the years to come, our beautiful barn will become a venue for weddings as well as a suite and rentable rooms where you can stay. We’ll also be continuing to grow our family farm, orchard and of course our growing array of animals for you to visit.
For hookups we are happy with a trade of assistance around our farm instead of cash. Please let us know when booking which hookups you may need -thanks!
All of our RV spots have fit up to 30” rigs. If you’re rig is longer we will do our best to host you in our largest spot that is on gravel in front of our barn. We are located on a paved road, we have a gravel driveway that is easier to access from the north with longer rigs. Ypu can drive straight down and we have two options for backing up and turning around for leaving. Please let us know your ETA by the day of your arrival so we can meet you and get you settled in to your space.
We have plenty of space within sight of your RV for you to park your tow vehicle.
Copper county, and The Keweenaw Area have many attractions available. The Pelkie one room school house is open on Sundays and holidays. Hanak Homestead is open daily. We also have brochures available for many other local options and are happy to share stories of what we love.
Enjoyed our quiet spot near the barn. They took a lot of time out to show us the farm and animals. Great walking trail for our dog. Delightful people, including the kids.
We slept so well on this beautiful farm and enjoyed evenings filled with starry skies and laughter around the campfire. Walking the trails was a wonderful experience along with picking and eating heirloom apples. This family is so charming, so giving, we enjoyed our stay and plan on being repeat guests.
We enjoyed our peaceful stay and learning about the hosts plans for their property. Helping out around the property and chatting around the fire made for a very pleasant stay. The next time we are heading through this part of the UP we plan on requesting another stay. It will be fun to see the progress on the farm.
We had a wonderful time at this farm. The family is so friendly, enjoyable and gracious. My son loved helping feed the pigs and chickens. It is very peaceful and relaxing with lots of space. Hope to return next summer if we are in the area.
Great location to explore all the amazing parts of the upper peninsula! Rustic farm property they’ve been working to fix up for future events and stays. Really nice family with 2 sweet little girls, chickens, a cat and pigs. Very organized with explaining the farm and how things work best for a smooth stay. There were multiple other RVs in and out, and the hosts invited us to have a fire every night, but we had so much to explore we got back to late, but great place to enjoy good people. We had to cut our stay short because of slow Internet to work into the week but really enjoyed our weekend there. Wishing the hosts great success in their plans for the farmstead!
A crazy encounter with fellow Lance owners who were familiar with Ali from a long time back and became very good friends after a night conversation. The hosts here are every bit of what all the other campers reported. Highly recommended for a great exposure to sustainable living!! One of the girls makes and awesome breakfast sandwich for the guests.
Great place to stay and enjoyed the farmstead and family,..nature and peace abound. Would definitely recommend them and would love to come back again.
What a wonderful place to stay with a terrific young couple and two children. They were gracious and very helpful and introduced us to a very cool swimming hole!
Quite an amazing family who are very welcoming and kind. We loved being able to help them with their new farm, exploring all the trails right on their land, getting to feed the baby pigs and great campfires to end the night. Houghton is only 25 min. away and the visitor center for Isle Royale national park.
They do have well water spigots if you need water. If coming from the south, larger rigs will have a tighter turn in. We turned around at the cross street just north of them so it was easier to get in with our 30’ fifth wheel.
We loved our stay at constellation farmstead. The area was great and a nice slow down from everyday life. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, we felt at home. The wildflowers, rustic barn and buildings are picturesque. They have many animals and are practicing regenerative farming. This place is more than just a stop over, it’s an experience. I truly hope we make it back here someday to see our new friends. We were sad to leave. Definitely recommend. I felt refreshed after our stay.
The hosts made sure we had everything we wanted. Beautiful property with friendly animals and lots of hiking trails. Easy drive to Copper Harbor and about a half an hour to Houghton. We had such a nice stay we extended our visit another night.
Our BW experience with Constellation Farmstead has been stellar!
What an incredible property. Lots of room to walk around. There is a main trail within their farm, and more are being developed. At night, if the skies are clear, you will be greeted with a magnificent display of stars. When we were there, the skies were so clear and dark that we saw the milky way too.
The hosts are so welcoming! They gave us a tour of the land, showed us the softest bunnies, and told us their incredible plans for their property. We chatted about anything and everything which always lasted into the night.
We always heard and read about sustainable farming and agriculture, but not seen it in person. That changed when we stayed here. Their farming practices are inspiring, and will contribute to the world being a better place.
Rating: 5 million stars!
Thank you Constellation Farmstead! We loved every bit of our stay here, and we cannot wait to see it grow. We hope to be back again!
