Location

Access Road Conditions: The parking space we offer is beside an uninhabited house on a well packed, fairly level grassy area. The entrance is the original drive into the house. There should always be room to turn around in order to exit down the same drive. When we know you are arriving, we will place bright orange flags marking the best entrance onto the property. Let us know when you are near by and we will direct you in. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of space for a tow vehicle on the site but for total lengths over our recommended 35’, driving onto the site can be challenging. We suggest your pulling onto 28th Street, a “little used” paved road between the Boondocking site and our home. Disconnect there and drive the two vehicles onto the site individually. If available we will direct you when you arrive.

A retired couple Details: My husband and I love to travel, have neat experiences, and meet new people. We have traveled in all states and across Canada. We keep life simple in our small RV. We have been married for 57 years and have camped most of those years. We are healthy and still have lots of plans. At this point we have both had our Covid vaccinations but still wear masks when near others and keep our distance. Home Town: Hickory, North Carolina which is in the Foothills of our beautiful state. We’re about 50 north of Charlotte and about 50 miles down the mountain from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We have been in our home for our entire married life except when traveling in our “house on wheels”. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Natural areas across the country

Hosts were so kind and helpful! And they know the area well. Parking may not be suitable for a big rig.

very peaceful level lot. Per other reviews, swing wide at entrance, slight incline and narrow but our 35’ 13’ high Class A made it perfectly. We jockied around to face out, lots of room.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Our Hosts were friendly and we exchanged our travel war stories. Much appreciated. Would definitely return when back in the area.

Bill and Lenora met us at the spot to help us get set up. Spot is a little tight with longer rigs so take it wide on the entry. Spot is very level. Little to no road noise in evening. Lenora emailed us with lots of stuff to donin Florida and places to boondock down there. This will be a great help while we are down there. Thank you Bill and Lenora for the stay.
