Host was awesome, friendly and helpful. Now for the bad, use caution if your GPS take you across railroad tracks to get there as the trees on the road side have low hanging branches but if you come in off the highway and don’t cross the rr tracks just keep straight. The host gives great directions. Yes, there are tracks close but we had no trouble sleeping. There is a horse, Tequila, very friendly and loves attention lol.
Very helpful and accommodating hosts. Had a real nice spot where we could relax for a few hours and the dogs loved all the grass! Had a few trains before we went to bed, but they weren't a bother in the least, and they definitely did not disrupt our relaxation and sleep! Not to mention how the hosts shared their wonderful organic garden with us! Yum! Yum!
As the quote goes...
I'LL BE BACK!!!!
Host was out to meet and greet and directed me as well as another arrival to where we could park. Trains run close by throughout the night...Organic veggies were available for lunch later. Handy location if passing through on 30.
I always appreciate a free place to pull over to sleep safely but I feel I have to be honest..so here are the pros and cons.
Pros: large space to turn around, beautiful farmland, easy to get to off i-80
Cons: the extremely loud train that runs every 30minutes through the entire night. My husband and I are heavy sleepers but didn't get a lick of sleep. There was no mention of a loud train in the listing.
- also we chose this spot for the option of having hookups during a heatwave. When we arrived the host asked if we needed them, we said yes, and he told us he'd come show us where they were once we parked. We parked and he disappeared. We weren't able to find him again, not heard via message from him and this had no hookups as advertised.
Lucky6981 and his grandfather were great hosts. Even shared some fresh vegetables from the Garden. Very convenient to the interstate and easy in and out parking. Only minor drawback is the busy Union and Pacific rail line about a block away. Would stay again with them again if we visit in the area.
This stay was perfect as we were passing through Nebraska and got to meet some other full timers as well. The host was super accommodating and if you come at the right time of year, make sure you check out their produce stand and DELICIOUS home grown tomatoes!!
Enjoyed meeting Chad and his grandfather. Access was easy once we were oriented. Nice level yard on grass between a large garage and a bean field. Main line train traffic is part of the ambience. We shared the location with two other rving couples and it was fun having company on the lot.
Would stay here again if passing on I 80!
Very genial host. Spot was easy to access and absolutely level! No adjustments needed. Very close to 1-80.
