We are a veteran owners and operated small family sheep dairy farm. We milk sheep and make soap and bath products. We have an on site farm store, petting zoo, walking trails, flower field, and u pick pumpkins and sunflowers when in season.
We employ working livestock guardian dogs that are not pets. They are contained behind electric fencing but ask you do not attempt to pet them.
The driveway can be tight for large rigs, have to swing wide
We have a parking lot

Wonderful farm and family. We stayed one night and it was very nice. A bit of road noise, but not bad. Didn't keep me awake and I'm a pretty light sleeper. Nice conversation with the owner and his son was super helpful in getting us parked and helping us buy a few things from their farm store. Would definitely stay here again if traveling on I88.
We always said we would, but the wife was hesitant. This ranch was the best place to go for the first time. The hosts were very hospitable, the site was a level concrete pad, the animals (dogs, geese, chickens) came by to say hi. We stayed two nights without any issues at all. We wandered about the sunflowers and flower beds, played with the dogs, said hi to various animals. We were very comfortable. My wife is sold on boondocking now.
Wow, this spot was just what Boondocker’s Welcome is all about: friendly hosts, unique setting, and interesting fellow travelers. Our spot was ideal for sitting out a passing storm in classically scenic farm country. It’s a real working barnyard, so expect many and varied animal residents. We’re grateful for having had the opportunity to visit.
We loved our stay with EmptyPocketsRanchNY! We picked this site so that we could visit Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame which was less than 30 minutes away. The farm is clean and safe and we loved seeing the various flowers and animals they have onsite. The hosts were so laid back and friendly. I commend the pivot in their business due to Covid to find other sources of income. They have such great ideas and a great attitude. We purchased sheep milk body lotion, soap, carrots, and tomatoes from their store. We will plan our route to visit this location again when we're back up in New York. Thank you EmptyPocketsRanchNY for hosting us. It was wonderful to meet you.
Thank you so much for having us! We loved seeing your animals and the kids loved playing with your dogs! The RV space was great and we wanted to stay longer but had to keep going. Hopefully, we'll get to visit again. 💗
My hosts were very welcoming and gracious. Everything else was easy. Big driveway and tur around, super level. Nice trail up the hill and around the pasture. Great gift shop with homemade soaps, lotions, jams, maple syrup, cheese, goat milk yogurt, eggs, veggies, meats and MORE. all ORGANIC yea! Lots of other stuff. Farm animals too. Great place for kids. I would come back again!
A big thanks to all BW hosts!
Wonderful hosts. Great location.
This family was very impressive. They all pitched in to run the Empty Pockets Ranch.
The animals were very amusing. We enjoyed watching the various animals and visiting with the family.
The products they sell are excellent. We bought a bundle for ourselves and gifts for others.
Definitely will return when in the area.
We stayed 2 nights with them and really loved our stay. They have critters galore there and the various sounds were incredible. Chickens, geese (or were they ducks?) and guineas visited us daily and they entertained our cat while he sat in the window. They have 4 really sweet dogs that run free and like the mini pot belly pigs, they're very friendly and sociable. They also have a store on the property where they sell all sorts of things from homemade soaps and BBQ sauces to farm eggs and velvety chocolate milk. The best part is the family is truly genuine and they are good people. Even though there's always something that needs to be done on a farm, we were able to talk a lot with them and get to know them. We definitely look forward to coming back and visiting them again.
We had a really nice time at Empty Pockets Ranch. They were very welcoming and we could tell that they love it when RVers stay there. Another fantastic Boondockers Welcome visit!
Empty Pockets Ranch provided us a hospitable respite during our journey home. The friendly atmosphere made for a pleasurable visit.
