We live approximately 7 miles (all hard surface) off I-80, exit 164, 30 miles East of Des Moines.
We have a large backyard that can accommodate up to 3 units. Although can not provide electricity to all. Generators are ok with us but depends if there are other campers present. There is water available to fill you tanks.
Quiet, surrounded by farm crops. This might be the place to kick back and relax for a couple of days or just for an over night stay.
No fire except in our fire ring. Firewood is usually available.
Please arrive and set up during daylight hours. But stay up as late as you want...maybe we can visit around the campfire.
Enjoy the sunrise, sunsets, quiet nights, stars and of course the fireflies..
It’s a given....Be respectful to us and other campers.
We live on hard surface road. Parking in a large backyard with plenty of room to turn around....yard is all flat

This was the BEST BW experience yet and I've had several great ones. It was a fantastic location for me as I attended the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines with family. The hosts were super helpful and I so enjoyed our visit under the shade of their tree one morning. 💖
This was our first Boonedockers Welcome stay. Our hosts were a joy to talk to. We will most definitely go back to stay with them again. Beautiful back yard and wonderful hosts!
Iowa = Good people. I mean THE BEST! A great stop along our journey. “We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our paths for a reason.” Thank you again for a safe, comfortable place to stay on our journey.
I've stayed with lots of Boondocker's hosts, and they have all been wonderful, but this stay was the best yet! The hostess was beyond welcoming. We had a great time chatting and discovered we had both traveled to Tanzania and Machu Picchu! I really enjoyed the hosts' genuine warmth and hospitality.
Our hosts met us in the driveway and assisted us in parking.. They offered electric hookup and even had the dogbone converter handy. We chatted with them and another couple they hosted until late evening and really enjoyed ourselves. Big beautiful yard, peaceful and quiet- definitely recommend!
Very level, very easy to get in and out, very quiet spot. The host couple is friendly and genial as well as helpful. Had a wonderful time visiting with them and the other Boondocker family parked there.
linda was a delightful and communicative host. we had a lovely evening, watching fireworks and fireflies trading traveling stories on the back deck, and she provided electric hookup for the night. there was a glorious sunset. i stayed on the driveway due to some recent rains, and woke up to birds chirping. thank you 💜
We can't thank them enough for their generous hospitality. The spot they had for us was perfect for our 38' fifth wheel, and the visit and conversation were even better.
