Jay is retired and Cathy has just a few years left to work. Details: We have owned a few campers including pick-up camper, travel trailer, fifth wheel and now a 45 foot motor coach. While we enjoy traveling without a set schedule, it can be comforting to know there is a safe place to park overnight. This is what led us to look into Boondockers Welcome and become a host.

We enjoyed a very pleasant two days at the Last Ride Ranch. It’s quiet and clean and Jay couldn’t be a better host. Thank you again for offering a safe place to stay!

We book this location based on reviews and distance to where we needed to be right after. Jay and Cathy are incredible hosts. Spot is amazing with awesome views. Small town in WI, but enough to keep you entertained for a few days. We stay for two days and I could not get enough of the views. Starlink works amazing here. I wish we could have stayed longer, site does have 30 and 50 amp. Hopefully we can stay again or run into you guys on the road. good luck and thanks again.

We were camping unplugged nearby in terrible weather. 85 degrees the day before, but it deteriorated overnight to the mid 50's, with wind and pouring and often sideways rain. For the first time all year, our solar charged batteries were really struggling, and it was too wet for the generator. We were looking at a cold wet morning with no power to heat the trailer. Then I remembered this place and took a shot. Jay answered promptly even though he wasn't there and saved the day. We were plugged in with the heat on and the fridge cooling in no time, and the over the air TV reception was excellent to boot. It is super easy to find, the parking is flat enough, and it was not difficult to back into with a 29 ft. trailer and 20 ft. truck. As a bonus, the scenery to the west was beautiful. Thanks Jay and Cathy!

Last Ride Ranch was a pleasure to stay at with a beautiful vista for sunsets. I met with Jay and he was so friendly and helpful I thought he was one of my good friends from school. They've even made up a packet of info on the local businesses and what to see in the area. The concrete pad allows parking for all types of RVs and backs up to the fenced horse pasture. I have a class b so super easy in and out. But the location could accommodate any length trailer, reasonable, good back up skill may be necessary. Tow vehicle would need okay from hosts, I would assume. Thank you to Jay for a wonderful stay.... I will be back for the world class trout fishing in the area.

As brand new retirees, we were looking for a relaxing site to begin our RV journey and this was perfect. Cathy prepared a packet of brochures and recommendations for local attractions and we visited many of them. Jay was a wonderful host and made sure that we had everything we needed. The setting is beautiful and we marveled at the sunsets over the rolling hills. We hope to return!
